I Collect Skill Fragments in the Demon World

Chapter 184: Zhaoyao Mountain Recorded in the Empress Tomb (Part 2)

When Zhang Chen saw this line of text, he felt as if he had been struck by lightning, his eyes full of disbelief as he looked at the familiar words, feeling his head buzz.

"Zhaoyao Mountain? Ape Tribe?" Zhang Chen looked at the familiar names, swallowed a mouthful of saliva involuntarily, feeling parched and thirsty, his mind a tumultuous sea of thoughts.

Coincidence?

Is there really such a coincidental thing in the world?

"In the First Heaven of the Spiritual World, there is a South Mountain, under which governs a Zhaoyao Mountain, where there's a small tribe named 'Ape.' What's the connection between the two?" Zhang Chen's head buzzed.

One exists in the extremely distant Spiritual World, the other in the real world, how could they be connected?

Zhang Chen stood before the tombstone, baffled, unable to think of a connection no matter how hard he tried.

"Oh, are you here to read the epitaph too? With your peasant-like look, can you even recognize those big words? You can't even recognize modern text, let alone text from ancient times?" Zhong Xiang joined in, sneering with contempt.

He knew Zhang Chen couldn't kill him now; he still needed him to open the way, so he was quite confident at this moment.

"Backstab!" Facing Zhong Xiang's mockery, Zhang Chen looked at Zhong Xiang's butt with a sleazy grin.

Zhong Xiang's butt clenched, wishing he could slap himself, questioning why he would provoke him.

Seeing Zhong Xiang conceding, Zhang Chen asked, "Do you recognize it?"

Zhong Xiang didn't respond, not bothering to engage with him.

"Stab?" Zhang Chen teased, looking at Zhong Xiang with a mischievous smile.

Zhong Xiang was so angry he took a deep breath, trying to calm himself, then replied in a normal tone, "I don't recognize it."

"You don't even recognize it and have the nerve to laugh at me?" Zhang Chen glanced at Zhong Xiang, his eyes flashing disdain.

"As if you recognize it," Zhong Xiang couldn't resist Zhang Chen's provocation, retorting irritably.

"You dare speak to me like that? Stab?" Zhang Chen said with a sleazy face.

Hearing Zhang Chen's words, Zhong Xiang's face flushed with anger, "You might as well kill me with a knife now."

"Stab?" Zhang Chen said calmly.

"I was wrong!" Zhong Xiang gritted his teeth and admitted his mistake under Zhang Chen's lecherous gaze.

"Now that's more like it!" Zhang Chen laughed triumphantly, turning back to continue reading the text on the stele.

The second part of the text caught Zhang Chen's eye, and he carefully deciphered it:

"Xia Zhe, the emperor's legitimate eldest daughter. Born divine, she held the power of the Dream Realm, the top prodigy of the First Heaven of the mountains and seas. At one, she entered the tier, at five, she killed a sixth-tier Exotic Beast in her dreams, at sixteen, slaughtered an eighth-tier Divine. Over 360 springs and autumns, she followed the emperor out to Zhaoyao, slaying seventy-one Divines, leveling South Mountain, then leveling North Mountain, and quelled Zhong Mountain. Later, she followed the emperor to conquer the Great Wilderness at 'Deer', counterattacked a demon in her dreams, and died! The emperor mourned, slaying three hundred Divine and buried her in her homeland Zhaoyao."

As Zhang Chen read this passage, he felt an inexplicable sorrow between the lines, as if piercing his heart. Every word carried vast spiritual will, unextinguished despite countless years.

"Could the woman in the grand tomb have such a great origin? No wonder there's an 'Ying Dragon' buried with her! And three hundred Divine as company..." Zhang Chen's eyes lit up like a bulb, flickering brightly.

Of course, Creation comes with danger; this grand tomb might hold Creation, or it could be the three hundred Divine have undergone bizarre changes, possibly costing tomb raiders their lives.

After a moment of reflection, Zhang Chen continued to read:

"Anyone who dares to raid this tomb shall be subjected to Soul Extraction and Refining, exterminated, and their ashes scattered. The Emperor, with pen!"

The text on the tombstone ended here, and Zhang Chen couldn't snap out of it, staring at the epitaph before him.

"This grand tomb, the Creation inside is enormous, not to mention three hundred Divine buried within, and a twelfth-tier Mysterious as the array eye of the Feng Shui Grand Array. From this, one can deduce that the Mysterious Level entities buried within the grand tomb are not weak at all." Zhang Chen was nervous inside, thinking about how he couldn't possibly provoke such powerful entities.

He should run the moment he saw it, having no means of resistance.

"The greater the storm, the more precious the fish; if I enter the grand tomb, even if I don't obtain three hundred Mysterious Levels, just gaining a skill from each would be a massive Creation. Moreover, I have the Nine Bends Yellow River Talisman Array; even if there really are three hundred old entities inside, if I lure them all into it, it seems those three hundred old entities couldn't make much of a scene?" Ideas flickered in Zhang Chen's mind.

"Moreover, if the Princess is this terrifyingly powerful, what kind of existence is the demon that slew her?" Zhang Chen pondered over the word 'demon' on the stele, contemplating silently.

This Empress Tomb is not simple, with too many hidden mysteries inside.

And in the Spiritual World, I found a similar Ape Tribe, also established on Zhaoyao Mountain...

"If I could enter Zhaoyao Mountain again, investigate the Ape Tribe, perhaps I could find records about the Empress Tomb, making it much easier to steal Creation from it." Zhang Chen thought to himself.

According to the timeline, the Ape Tribe in the Spiritual World is likely a legacy left behind after the 'Emperor' era, possibly recording information about the Emperor and the Princess.

"But why is there an Ape Tribe in the Spiritual World and a record of it appearing in the Material World? What's the connection between the two?" Zhang Chen couldn't figure it out, pondering if the Great Freedom Celestial Demon were here, he could ask him.

Since the Great Freedom Celestial Demon isn't here, he still has the Dog Head Military Advisor, Fox Fairy Nannan.

Thinking of this, Zhang Chen summoned Fox Fairy Nannan, who immediately cast an Illusion Realm to obscure Zhong Xiang's senses. Then her eyes landed on Zhang Chen, and then onto the stele before him and the bronze portal, her eyes lighting up with joy, "Have you dug up the entrance to the grand tomb?"

"The entrance is found, but entering to seize Creation is no easy feat." Zhang Chen replied.

"What's the issue? Is it that the bronze portal can't be opened, or has some change occurred?" Fox Fairy Nannan inquired with curiosity.

"I now have a doubt after reading the epitaph, and if unanswered, I'm afraid to enter the tomb." Zhang Chen kept his eyes on the epitaph, hoping to discern something.

Fox Fairy Nannan glanced at the Jade Stele, briefly scanning it, then stopped in her tracks, "You can understand this strange, archaic text?"

"Of course," Zhang Chen responded.

Fox Fairy Nannan's eyes flashed with disbelief; in her eyes, Zhang Chen was growing ever more mysterious. According to her understanding, Zhang Chen couldn't possibly recognize these words, yet he had.

"A two-legged beast that knows how to read, it's going to be hard to fool him in the future," Fox Fairy Nannan thought to herself.

"What's written there?"

Fox Fairy Nannan didn't probe further, not wanting to uncover more of Zhang Chen's secrets.

Zhang Chen recounted the matter of Zhaoyao Mountain and the tribe, "What do you think connects them?"

Upon hearing this, Fox Fairy Nannan pondered for a moment. The Dog Head Military Advisor then had a lead, "Ancient texts record that sages had once entered the Spiritual World to gather great medicines. What does this show? It shows that things in the Spiritual World can be brought into the Material World. If that's the case, then why can't the so-called Empress Tomb be brought out from the Spiritual World?"

"Perhaps these events merely occurred within the Spiritual World, and then this grand tomb fell from the Spiritual World." The Dog Head Military Advisor, Fox Fairy Nannan, offered her conjecture.

This hypothesis seemed quite reasonable.
