Facing the Apocalypse with My Other Selves

Chapter 112: It's Time for You to Know About the Association

The Goddess of Hope actually gave an answer.

"Three million, two hundred fourteen thousand, five hundred seventy-nine."

With that one attack, interstellar world Shen Yu directly wiped out more than three million!

This number, even Shen Yu himself froze for a moment when he saw it.

Let alone the soldiers.

They each stayed at their posts, confirming this number over and over again.

Confirming whether they were dreaming.

But this is reality, it just happened, right before their eyes.

Xiu'Er was the first to react.

He only did one thing.

Laugh! Heartened, hearty laughter!

"Hahahahaha." The rough laughter echoed through the entire command channel, resounded in the ears of every soldier at Wutun, filled with immense satisfaction.

And it wasn't just Xiu'Er, all the soldiers burst out laughing as well.

They had been suppressed for far too long.

And waited for this day, for far too long.

In this moment, they fully indulged in the victory, savoring the joy brought by vengeance!

The remaining Void Spirits, amidst this laughter, fled in panic and terror.

"What is that?!"

"How is the information melting?"

"Why aren't the humans affected?"

"Run! Run away!"

"..."

They didn't know what it was, screaming madly at each other, asking frantically.

They didn't even dare to approach anywhere there was light, not even the most ordinary lamp-light.

But no one could give an answer.

The magic from the Otherworld, in this material universe, with overwhelming might, accomplished a massacre of the Void Spirits.

Bathed in this holy radiance, the warriors of Human Civilization were utterly unaffected, while the Void Spirits were like they'd been cast into Purgatory!

Abandoning the flesh had granted them immunity to most weapons, but also made them most vulnerable under magic!

They could not comprehend why Human Civilization would suddenly possess such terrifying power!

Nor could they imagine how so many of their kin could vanish in an instant.

Death had never come so close to them; the fear of death erupted as never before.

But vengeance would not end because of their terror.

Xiu'Er's voice rang out again.

"Three billion, one hundred fifty-eight million, seven hundred fifty-four thousand, seven hundred sixty-eight." He reported a full ten-digit number. "That is the number of human soldiers who have fallen at Wutun so far. Every single name is forever recorded in the brainchip of every generation's supreme commander. We will not forget. You will not forget. Killing these Void Spirits is nowhere near enough to satisfy the raging flames of vengeance in our hearts! We have to kill more, many more! Until we counterattack the Void Spirits, until the Void Spirit Race is slaughtered to extinction!"

Words like these should never be uttered by a commander.

After all, war isn't a personal vendetta.

But Xiu'Er didn't care anymore.

Nor did any of the soldiers here.

For them, this was personal, and it would be now and forever; this would be a legion that fought only for revenge!

In this moment, no one knew how many soldiers were roaring madly, "Wipe them out!"

Every soldier was filled with burning passion.

And within such collective anger, the remaining Void Spirits could only tremble in fear.

In the more than twenty years of war, the Void Spirits had never felt such terror.

It could be said this was the very first time they truly realized—this was a war.

And the feeling came so suddenly, there was no time to prepare.

Xiu'Er continued to give orders, instructing armed soldiers to rapidly spread out to hunt down any remaining Void Spirit.

Kill them all.

They did not yet have the means to take any Void Spirits prisoner.

The rest continued on, mobilizing the entire legion, speeding toward the next Wutun not far ahead.

Clearing out the Void Spirits from the base was only the beginning.

"Mr. Han Yu, please allow me, on behalf of every Wutun warrior, including those who sacrificed themselves, to offer you the highest respect." Xiu'Er, having finished his initial orders, saluted gravely to interstellar world Shen Yu.

The other commanders at his side did the same.

In truth, these people were still reeling from the shock.

Though they had guessed that Xiu'Er's plan involved some way to wipe out the Void Spirits en masse and even suspected some kind of doomsday weapon,

they never expected this.

Xiu'Er's trump card was actually a person!

Yes, that scene just now—ordinary people, regular soldiers might suspect it was some kind of weapon's power.

But they saw it clearly: that immense, overwhelming force capable of erasing all Void Spirits in an instant, it came from this man himself!

At that moment, it was as if they saw an Immortal God from myth!

Their understanding of the world was reshaped, but in that new understanding, an infinite hope for interstellar world Shen Yu arose.

It was as if all of them understood.

No wonder Human Civilization could break through again and again in so short a time.

Very likely, it was all because of this man's existence!

"I am also part of Human Civilization. I, too, have an immense hatred for the Void Spirits," said interstellar world Shen Yu, then glanced at the others. "My existence must not be known to the Void Spirits for now. You all need to enforce stricter confidentiality."

"Yes!" everyone replied in unison, even letting out a collective sigh of relief.
