The Exotic Beasts that heard the roar of the dragon seemed to be manipulated by an unseen force, frantically rushing towards the South Heaven Gate Fortress.
This was the Magma Dragon Turtle's favorite Nine Clans Elimination game.
It's finally begun, let me play to my heart's content.
Although I don't know why my awakening time is earlier than expected, I was bored anyway.
The body of the Magma Dragon Turtle slowly sank into the magma.
It was already ravenously hungry, waiting for the humans to clear out the Exotic Beast army before it fully revived.
With its unbreakable body, it assumed those humans wouldn't dare to attack.
If they did, it would be a fight to the death.
Human perspective:
South Heaven Gate Fortress.
The fortress gates were tightly shut, and the Great Wall made of thick Earth Walls seemed able to repel any external invasion.
A moat meandered protectively around the South Heaven Gate Fortress, like a line of forged steel.
This moat was long and wide, teeming with ferocious Water Beasts.
The Stone Lions stationed on the Great Wall stood with a solemn demeanor, guarding this fortress. They were incarnations of Tier Five Stone Beasts, originally excavated as shapeless stones, carved meticulously by Stonemasons to become stone lion forms.
If any Wind Element or other Exotic Beasts crossed the boundary, these Stone Lions would be triggered to attack; on their backs were two pairs of wings that would spread open when needed.
The Great Wall had more than a dozen layers, with the fortress divided into outer, middle, and inner layers.
Each layer was surrounded by solid and heavy stone walls.
Pet Beast Masters patrolled the Great Wall, their Protective Armor glinting coldly in the sunlight, footsteps echoing in the tranquil mountains, adding a sense of majesty.
The banner of the fortress flapped in the air, and the words "South Heaven Gate" on it had faded with age.
This was the calm before the storm, and almost all the Pet Beast Masters guarding the South Heaven Gate felt greatly oppressed.
The next wave of Beast Tide would soon arrive, though no one knew how long it would last this time.
Nor did they know how many comrades would sacrifice in this battle.
But they could not retreat; a retreat would result in a quarter of the land falling, with countless compatriots displaced, becoming food for the Exotic Beasts.
They were a crucial line of defense that must be held.
At the edge of the desolate wilderness, the sunset like blood slowly sank below the horizon, staining the sky with a brilliant orange-red.
This should have been a tranquil and magnificent twilight, yet the air was thick with an unusual tension and oppression.
A dark cloud drifted from afar, completely obscuring the setting sun.
Upon closer inspection, the oppressive black cloud was composed of countless Wind Element Exotic Beasts.
The howling Gale swept in, the terrifying black wind gusting forth.
From the distant mountains came a series of deep and prolonged roars, and the ground began to shake violently, as if a vast army was galloping across the earth.
As the first deafening dragon roar echoed through the sky, the entire land seemed to tremble.
Groups of Exotic Beasts, like a black tide, surged out of the dense forest and the mountain ridges.
Their eyes turned completely blood red, glowing with hunger and madness, charging straight towards the South Heaven Gate Fortress.
The Exotic Beasts' heavy paws stomped on the ground, with each step resonating like rolling thunder.
Dust flew as the Beast Tide, like a black wave, came crashing in unstoppable force.
The Exotic Beasts' eyes flashed fiercely, their sharp teeth and claws gleaming coldly.
In this Beast Tide, there were massive Earth Giant Bears, their thick hides making the ground pound with every step.
Nimble Ghost Wolf packs, working perfectly in sync, ghosting between the ranks under their leader's guidance.
A Fierce Thunder Tiger cloaked in Thunder, its Blood Bowl Big Mouth open, revealing sharp fangs and emitting terrifying roars.
And countless Armored Wild Boars, Maniac Wild Bulls, and Pursuit Leopards mixed in, forming an unstoppable force.
Pet Beast Masters on patrol urgently lit bonfires and sounded the alarm, the shrill alarm blaring throughout the South Heaven Gate Fortress.
Beep-beep-beep-boop.
The three long and one short signal kept all Pet Beast Masters on high alert.
They came, they finally came, the Beast Tide had begun.
Almost everyone was gearing up for battle.
The Exotic Beasts paid no heed when, as they crossed mountains and valleys, they stepped on spore mines, and spores like snowflakes burst forth, falling upon them.
These spores would continuously propagate on the Exotic Beasts, turning them into breeding grounds for spores.
The river in the moat flowed rapidly, filled with fierce Water Beasts.
Most Exotic Beasts plunged into the rushing river without hesitation, using their bodies to try and fill the water.
A few Earth Element Exotic Beasts began using their abilities to create thick Earth Walls.
Faced with the overwhelming birds, the Stone Lions opened their mouths, gathering golden light points within.
Beams of light blasted into the distance, exploding among the avian Exotic Beasts with an ear-splitting sound.
The avian Exotic Beasts relentlessly dove downward.
Their sharp beaks were brandished like drawn swords, their target being the Pet Beast Masters standing on the Great Wall.
