Xan, the Void Immortal, was the one who had arrived in this Realm with Maya's help, using the hidden channels of the Church of the Lord of the Secret.
He couldn't help but feel excited as he spotted the Asura.
"This looks fun…" He muttered.
Sreas had four arms, surrounded by dark aura and pressure fields that bent the terrain itself.
Xan's breath caught for a moment. He hadn't seen an Asura in centuries, and certainly not one fighting at this level. There was no mistaking it, this was a pureblood Asura and something that shouldn't be existing in this small realm…
The way the shadows responded to his presence, the way his limbs moved with intent… It was all unmistakable.
Fascination bloomed in Xan's chest. He wasn't afraid… He was awed and intrigued by the presence of the rare Asura…
Their blood, flesh, and heart, were something that many collectors would surely want to have.
Then he noticed something else.
Above the battlefield, hidden among the clouds, ten dragons watched in silence. They didn't move. They didn't interfere. Their presence was cloaked in layered concealment, but Xan's eyes were trained to notice such things. He didn't recognize their aura signatures but he heard that the Shadow Domain's had dragons…
He didn't know who they were exactly, but they were definitely from the Domain.
Although it seemed that the Asura was alone and surrounded by the Chaos Immortals, he actually had hidden support.
Still, Xan wasn't here to interfere. He had come for Vale…
Unfortunately, Vale wasn't present, so he decided to just watch the battle to know more about this realm.

On the battlefield, Gyn stood with his casting flow disrupted and his body bruised. His breathing was uneven, and his aura had begun to destabilize.
He raised one hand and began preparing another Forbidden Spell. The Divinity around him darkened, and his veins pulsed with unstable mana. He was ready to sacrifice more.
But Sreas moved first.
Without warning, his body shimmered and split into two identical forms!
"What?!"
It wasn't just Gyn, even Kent and Xan didn't expect the sudden split of his body!
Furthermore, each one had two arms and half of his Divinity.
The split was clean, seamless, and unnatural. It wasn't a clone. It wasn't a projection. It was a true division of presence!
Gyn's eyes widened in disbelief.
The first Sreas dashed forward with overwhelming force… He didn't strike to kill. He moved to suppress Gyn's body!
His arms locked Gyn's wrists, and his pressure field collapsed the casting sequence of the Chaos Immortal...
"Let's end it here…" Sreas announced…
Then, his gaze locked onto Gyn's core, disrupting the flow of Divinity before it could stabilize.
The second Sreas followed a heartbeat later.
He appeared in front and struck one blow to the chest, another to the neck, and a final tap to the forehead. Each strike was delivered with just enough power to disable, not destroy.
The points he targeted were also not random acupoints!
Thud!
Just like that, Gyn's body went limp.
His aura collapsed and he fell to the ground, unconscious.
Sreas didn't finish him.
He stepped back as both bodies merged again into one.
"Whew~"
His breathing remained steady, and his gaze shifted toward the airship above, where the other Chaos Immortals watched in silence.
He didn't speak or gloat at the defeated Chaos Immortal.
He simply stood there, waiting for their next move.
The duel was over.
And far away, Xan smiled faintly as he continued to observe.
"This battle is more than it seems…" he whispered. "And it's far from over."
Xan wasn't sure what would happen after seeing the defeat of the Chaos Immortal. However, it would be interesting to know.
"I hope they work together and capture this Asura. Then, those Dragons will surely make their move…" Xan whispered as he really wanted to see more bloodbath.
***
The deck of the lead airship remained silent.
Kent stood at the edge, watching the battlefield below. Gyn lay unconscious, defeated but alive. Sreas hadn't pressed the advantage and waited for their response.
Arin broke the silence first.
"Well… that was unexpected."
Nyssa nodded slowly. "He didn't kill Gyn. That's not something I expected from a bloody Asura."
"He's not reckless," Kent muttered… "He knew that he'd die together with Capone City if he ended Gyn's life."
Neylan leaned against the railing and laughed. "We could still break the deal. No one would stop us."
Kent didn't respond immediately. He was thinking.
They had made a promise. There was a duel and a wager. Then, Sreas had won.
If they broke their word now, the other Arcane Arts factions would hear of it. The Shadow Domain wasn't the only region watching. At this time, he felt that if they were to rule this world, reputation mattered. Perhaps, if they visited the other Arcane Arts Faction, like the Elemental Arts, the resistance wouldn't be so desperate.
"We uphold the promise," Kent said finally.
Arin turned to him. "You're sure?"
"Yes," Kent replied. "If we want to rule the world, we need more than strength. We need trust. If we honor our word here, the other factions will be easier to manage later."
Nyssa nodded. "Then we pull back."
Kent raised his hand and turned to Arin…
"Cease the assault on Capone City. Redirect your formations. Prepare to advance toward Clovis City."
The order was then given across the airships and command channels.
Below, the Chaos Beasts began to retreat.
Their claws stopped tearing through the defenses and the siege lines dissolved.
And in the heart of Capone City, the twenty-five young Arcanists, Sreas's apprentices, collapsed.
They had been holding the line for some time, barely surviving against overwhelming odds. Their bodies were bruised, their arcane cores were strained, and their minds were exhausted.
As soon as the pressure lifted, they dropped to the ground, gasping for breath.
Yna fell to her knees, clutching her staff.
"They finally stop… I wonder what happened."
Halem collapsed beside her, his arms trembling.
"It must be Master's doing…"
Ral nodded weakly. "Master… won."
"We held… We actually held…"
None of them could stand. But they had survived!
However, Clovis City was now in danger!
