The way the shadows responded to his presence, the way his limbs moved with intent… It was all unmistakable.

Fascination bloomed in Xan's chest. He wasn't afraid… He was awed and intrigued by the presence of the rare Asura…

Their blood, flesh, and heart, were something that many collectors would surely want to have.

Then he noticed something else.

Above the battlefield, hidden among the clouds, ten dragons watched in silence. They didn't move. They didn't interfere. Their presence was cloaked in layered concealment, but Xan's eyes were trained to notice such things. He didn't recognize their aura signatures but he heard that the Shadow Domain's had dragons…

He didn't know who they were exactly, but they were definitely from the Domain.

Kent stood at the edge, watching the battlefield below. Gyn lay unconscious, defeated but alive. Sreas hadn't pressed the advantage and waited for their response.

Arin broke the silence first.

"Well… that was unexpected."

Nyssa nodded slowly. "He didn't kill Gyn. That's not something I expected from a bloody Asura."

"He's not reckless," Kent muttered… "He knew that he'd die together with Capone City if he ended Gyn's life."

Neylan leaned against the railing and laughed. "We could still break the deal. No one would stop us."

Kent didn't respond immediately. He was thinking.

They had made a promise. There was a duel and a wager. Then, Sreas had won.

If they broke their word now, the other Arcane Arts factions would hear of it. The Shadow Domain wasn't the only region watching.
