Arcane Academy: The Divine Extraction Legacy

Chapter 1140: Relocations

"They look incredible… Let me see…" Vale said with a hint of excitement since he had never seen these before.

He was only aware of these flame sources and gave more divine crystals, arcane crystals, and money to Professor Zeno to find these things.

It was an impressive work considering he only had two weeks…

'I guess connecting with the Arcane Bureau is a good investment.' He mused.

As Professor Zeno released the stones, Vale extended his Divine Sense toward the hovering stones and the flames responded instantly, each one revealing its nature beneath the surface.

The Eternal Whiteflame was indeed filled with serenity. Its fire was steady, and it felt like a flame that would never falter under delicate hands.

Vale noted its balance, the kind of fire that could refine pills or inscriptions…

"Are we supposed to put these stones in their own chambers or something?" Vale asked since he never had the chance to really visit any Alchemy Arts Academy or organization.

"That's right… A small Arcane Gathering Array is also needed for the ritual's sake. Just a small chamber is enough, though. It can only help one Arcanist at a time anyway." Professor Zeno explained.

Apparently, if a young Arcanist wanted to start the Fire Infusion on any of these stones, they had to do it for several hours, and a small room would be enough since multiple Fire Infusions in one stone were not possible in the first place.

Vale then continued to check the flames, since he was also considering whether he should actually try infusing himself with this flame or perhaps, he could even improve it with his current set of Spells.

Soon, the Azure Frostfire glowed strangely with his Divine Sense… Its flame seemed cold, but it could definitely burn.

Vale sensed that careless use would cause backlash, but in the hands of a meticulous alchemist, it could produce potions of unmatched purity.

Next… The Crimson Pyre was indeed violent, like how Zeno described, and he sensed that it was the most dangerous for young Arcanists to consider infusing within their bodies.

It might injure them just with the process of Infusion, so they need to be careful handling it. It reminded him of the cursed Grimoires Dalton had sealed earlier…

'Only a student with overwhelming willpower should ever attempt to get Fire Infusion from it.'

Finally, the Emberheart Flame glowed warmly as his Divine Sense swept over… Vale felt its nurturing essence, a flame that resonated with restoration and healing. Yet even here, he detected a subtle drain… The fire demanded devotion, consuming more energy than the others, but rewarding its wielder with a strange yet helpful fire.

Vale withdrew his Divine Sense, fully satisfied with everything he discovered.

"They're genuine… But the Crimson Pyre… that one will be dangerous if given to the wrong hands."

Zeno also nodded, acknowledging the warning. Dalton remained quiet, as his focus was still on the sealed Grimoires.

Between the mystical books and the volatile flames, Vale realized the Academy was gathering not just tools for learning, but also trials that would test the very resolve of its future Arcanists of his Academy

Vale's appointment didn't end here…

Still, his last schedule was not the meeting with the Psychic Arts Faction outside his Immortal Tower. He had already dismissed them.

Instead, his focus was on something far more crucial. It was the relocation of the sixteen Arcane Towers.

At present, all sixteen Towers stood clustered near the Academy. Their proximity had created a powerful center of influence that boosted population, economy, trade, and even military strength… They had all become concentrated around Clovis City.

While this had its advantages, Vale knew it was unsustainable. The Shadow Domain was vast, and if the Towers remained in one place, the rest of the territory would stagnate.

Relocation was necessary. By spreading the Towers across key areas, people would naturally gather around them. Each Tower would serve not only as a hub of learning but also as a fortress, a stronghold of defense against threats that lurked in the Shadow Domain.

For now, Vale had to personally inspect the areas where the Towers would be moved.

He had already decided that only the Dark Arts Tower would remain in Clovis City, the heart of his domain. Its presence there was symbolic since it was a reminder of his own path and the city's role as the seat of power.

In the meantime, the Elemental Arts Tower would be relocated to Capone City, a place known for its rivers and fertile lands. The natural environment made it ideal for practitioners of elemental magic to flourish.

The Holy Arts Tower would stand in Euphemia City, where Haruo, the Angel, resided. Vale knew the people there revered Haruo, and placing the Holy Tower in that city would strengthen their faith and provide a beacon of hope.

The Mystic Arts Tower would rise in Orpheus City... Well, there was no big reason aside from the number of Mystic Arts Practitioners in that place was second to the Dark Arts Practitioners.

It would also be the perfect home for mystics and seers.

The Combat Arts Tower, on the other hand, would be placed in Eustace City, a city of warriors and mercenaries.

Its people valued strength, and the presence of the Combat Tower would elevate their martial traditions. Furthermore, Vale planned to create a huge arena in that place where fighters could show off their skills and earn money.

These five cities were the pillars of Vale's territory, so they certainly needed to have one Arcane Arts Tower at the very least…

As for the remaining Towers, Vale felt that the Summoning Arts Tower would be built in the western mountain range. The isolation and natural Arcane Energy there made it an ideal place for summoners to commune with otherworldly beings.

As a matter of fact, Vale planned to visit this area in the mountain range where the tower would be relocated.

He had sent people to clear the area and start the foundation… After a week, they should be done by now.

'I should probably bring a reward for these hardworking beastmen…'
