"These are the Three Fire Stones," Professor Zeno declared.
"They are new flames we've also obtained, but they were all blessed by Immortal Beings… You may not be suitable to undergo Fire Infusion now, but we will be preparing to be able to use them."
Everyone's eyes lit up as soon as they heard this.
Those who had obtained high-grade Fire Source from their organizations were confident of the flames they had.
However, after hearing that these Fire Stones were blessed by Immortals, that certainly changed their stance.
"Each of them holds a flame that you may choose to infuse into your body. You may remain with your current fire, or you may attempt to change it. But know this, changing fire at an older age might get dangerous. It reshapes your Spirit Strands, and failure can cripple your alchemy forever."
The students clenched their fists as they also knew that it would be better to change their fire at a younger age. To be exact, before reaching twenty years old, they must settle on a Flame already…
Seeing such incredible Fire Stones, their eyes gleamed with anticipation.
Zeno pointed first to the pale stone, glowing with a steady white flame…
"The Eternal Whiteflame… It's calm, balanced, and perfect for precise alchemy. Those who wield it excel in potion-making, inscriptions, and delicate refinement. It is the flame of patience and precision."
He then gestured to the crimson stone, its surface even seemed like molten embers instead…
"The Crimson Pyre... This one's fierce, destructive, and suited for forging weapons, battlecraft, and combat alchemy. Those who wield it are warriors as much as scholars. But beware… its temper is wild, and it can consume the reckless."
Finally, his hand moved to the azure stone… A blue fire was indeed quite an incredible sight, and almost everyone wanted to have this fire…
"This is the Azure Frostfire. A flame that burns with clarity, ideal for potion refinement and delicate brews. It is rare, difficult to master, but unmatched in purity. Those who wield it are often healers, potion masters, and scholars of subtle transformation."
Professor Zeno had many more things to say about these flames. Those introductions he gave were the simplest he could give to them. However, it should be more than enough for them to consider whether it would be an ideal fit for them or not.
The students murmured among themselves, as they already felt what kind of Fire Stone they would want for themselves.
Some clutched their chests, feeling the Foxfire within them, wondering if they should risk changing it immediately…
Others stared at the stones with awe, imagining the power they could gain.
Vale, hidden in the shadows, watched with quiet interest.
His gaze lingered on a few students whose Spirit Strands resonated unusually strongly with the stones. He could tell that some of them were destined to succeed in changing their fire, perhaps even surpassing their peers.
Professor Zeno smiled and then continued.
"Remember… Fire is not just power, like how those Elementalists use it. It is identity. Choose wisely, for the flame you carry will shape your path as an alchemist forever."
Vale gently nodded as he realized that Zeno was really liking teaching Alchemy… Although the man was more of a Dark Arts Expert, he was actually doing well inspiring these students.
***
Three months quickly passed, and life at the Marshall Academy had settled into something steady and strong.
The once-chaotic opening weeks, filled with uncertainty and rivalry among students, had given way to discipline and routine.
The Academy was now fully under control…
The students had adjusted well.
The Mystic Arts students had even started learning Formation Circles…
The Holy Arts practitioners had embraced their philosophical training, learning to balance purity with power.
The Alchemy Arts students had begun experimenting with their infused flames, some daring enough to attempt resonance with the Eternal Whiteflame, Crimson Pyre, or Azure Frostfire, only to fail. So far, none of them has managed to receive these flames yet.
The Elementalists were mastering control over various elements, learning to balance fire, water, earth, and wind without losing themselves to chaos. After all, they must learn about various elements first before sticking to the elements they should focus on. They could even master all the elements if they were talented enough, the Academy wouldn't stop such students.
The squires who were training to become Knights drilled tirelessly as they learned from the best Knights that the Academy was able to hire.
The Dark Arts students, however, didn't change much as the Academy had always been giving them the best education…
The Summoners, on the other hand, had begun considering whether to change their Grimoires or not, after three months of study.
As for the Rune Arts students, they had already finished their ninth Rune…
The Beast Arts practitioners, on the other hand, were already considering the next Beast Mark they would put on their bodies from the many options given to them by the Academy.
Then, the Combat Arts or Martial Arts students were still active in their daily training in the Arena since a few of the Asura's disciples were even joining them in their exercise.
The Psychic Arts students had also begun refining their mental focus… They weren't training heavily on this path just yet, since it could be very dangerous for the practitioner and the surrounding people practicing the Psychic Arts with weak Mental Energy.
Lastly, the Transformation Arts students had also begun collecting various essences for their transformation arts. Most of them were given by the Academy, but those rare essences of various Arcane Beasts, they have to earn them…
Headmaster Constance Leore watched all of this satisfaction…
Vale's vision of uniting the Twelve Paths was no longer just an empty proclamation. It was slowly becoming a reality within the Academy Grounds.
Rivalries remained, of course, but they were in the spirit of competitiveness.
Vale, too, observed from the shadows, pleased with the progress…
"Now that this is all going stable… I should face that Lust this time."
Apparently, the three dragons he sent to deal with one of the Seven Sins in the Palham Empire had ultimately failed!
