Engagement Canceled: I Can Extract Prefixes

Chapter 45: The Strange Town

The influence of a mountain range on a place's environment is immense.

Due to this extensive mountain range, much of the cold wind is blocked.

Though Great Wei is cold, the cold is still bearable.

However, after crossing this mountain range, within Qianyang Country's borders, it is noticeably colder than Great Wei.

Currently, it is late autumn, and the leaves within Great Wei are withered, teetering on the edge of falling.

But over here, the trees that shed leaves in winter were already bare and bald.

Shen Han looked far into the distance, observing that within the borders of Qianyang Country, there were still plenty of green plants.

Probably those trees that shed leaves easily couldn't endure here either.

Finding an open space on the mountain, Shen Han sat down and pulled out the map Liu Xilan gave him.

A line of gray small words emerged on the map, [Rough Map]

This entry was quite accurate; the contents of the map were truly rough.

Gathering Qi, extract!

After extracting the [Rough] map, the originally scant few strokes on the map instantly became much more detailed.

The previously marked positions on the map were also more detailed.

According to the map, he should continue westward, passing through a valley, and then head northwest.

Without further ado, Shen Han began descending the mountain.

Within Qianyang Country's borders, the terrain is more mountainous, making the journey more arduous than in Great Wei.

Furthermore, as this is, after all, a different country, he, as a foreigner, must be cautious.

Utilizing the Lonely Wind Snow-Treading Step, he manipulated Qi to move forward.

The descent didn't take long, but Shen Han unexpectedly found that a considerable number of people had come over the mountain range from Great Wei.

Below the mountain range, a small marketplace had even formed.

Shen Han frowned slightly, glanced at the market a few more times, but didn't plan to stop, and continued heading westward.

As the sky darkened, he found a place to stop.

Shen Han deliberately avoided the main road while traveling.

His strength was still insufficient, and encountering people in the wilderness was instead a dangerous affair.

Under the moonlight, Shen Han began practicing the techniques he had currently mastered.

In the Shen Mansion, most technique practice was improved through visualization.

Out of the Shen Mansion, out of Yun'an City, Shen Han could finally wield his techniques freely.

He tightly gripped the Soft Sword in his hand.

"Sunset's afterglow, sword cleaves the haze!"

"The sea stands amidst the mountains, the river lights up at sunset!"

"Sunset Sword Formulas" were the sword techniques Shen Han was most proficient in; when the sword technique was wielded, sword qi extended over ten meters, and the trees were all cut evenly.

Immediately after, Shen Han infused Misty Sword Intent into the Sunset Sword Formulas.

Virtual and real were fully expressed, one sword sweeping away the cool autumn.

The sword shadows flickered; under this profound sword intent, it seemed as if a hundred techniques were unleashed.

Under the moonlit night, behind the sword shadows, there was only a single sword mark.

While it appeared to be a hundred sword shadows, in reality, only one strike was genuine.

The rest, seemingly ferocious and magnificent sword shadows, were merely deceptive maneuvers meant to mislead the eyes.

Looking at the surrounding sword marks, Shen Han felt quite satisfied with his current strength.

At least, when facing enemies, he had the ability to maneuver.

Having practiced both the sword techniques and sword intent, Shen Han took a deep breath.

His most powerful card at the moment was the terrifyingly powerful Celestial Dao Sword Momentum.

After months of visualization training, his spiritual power had improved significantly, and he wondered what he could achieve now.

Gathering his mental focus, Shen Han began to try to use the Celestial Dao Sword Momentum.

"Ten Thousand Swords Trapping Dragon Momentum!"

With a low murmur, the long sword in his hand flew out, instantly splitting into multiple sword shadows.

The sword shadows slightly trembled, and the shadows further split into more shadows!

Within moments, over a hundred sword shadows appeared.

Under the starry moonlit night, the sword shadows flickered with a silvery glow, revealing a thread of killing intent within the light.

Shen Han gritted his teeth, controlling the sword shadows to stop increasing.

This Celestial Dao Sword Momentum was truly terrifying, and even though he was the one wielding it, he could feel the overwhelming pressure of the sword momentum.

With a flick of the finger, a sword shadow instantly thrust out.

Just as he had seen in his visualizations, this sword shadow was as swift and terrifying, and under the same strength, one would find it impossible to evade its attack.

In his visualization, Shen Han had died many times under this move.

Though wielding it himself didn't make it as terrifying as in the visualizations, it was still incredibly powerful.

After executing a sword shadow, Shen Han quickly withdrew his focus.

The sword shadow disappeared, and his Soft Sword fell to the ground, drained.

Though the Celestial Dao Sword Momentum was extremely powerful, capable of battling across Grade ranks.

However, the consumption of spiritual power was simply too great.

Despite the recent visualization of the Celestial Dao Sword Momentum and the extraction of entries, his spiritual power had increased a lot.

Not a few Scholar Cultivators are much stronger than him in terms of spiritual power.

Even so, summoning a hundred sword shadows left Shen Han feeling his spiritual power was severely drained.

Sitting on the open ground, he felt slightly dizzy and giddy.

With his current strength, the Celestial Dao Sword Momentum was better suited as a finishing move.

If one move failed, he would likely be defeated.

His body tired, Shen Han decided not to continue cultivating for improvement.

After all, this is within Qianyang Country's borders, and being alone outside, he couldn't afford to deplete all his energy and strength.

He found a rather tall tree and spent the night on its branches, which was better than being on the ground.

As dawn slightly broke, Shen Han got up and continued on his journey.

According to the map, he should head west and then turn northwest.

He rested halfway until around 3:00 PM when Shen Han finally reached the small town marked on the map.

The map indicated that he could rest in this town and proceed another thirty miles when ready.

The town was bustling with people, something Shen Han hadn't expected for a small town within Qianyang Country's borders.

There were many people walking on the streets, and numerous shops selling various goods as well.

This place seemed livelier than many small towns in Great Wei.

However, seeing so many people and frequent patrols by officers in uniforms added a sense of security.

Entering the town, Shen Han planned to find an inn to stay for the night.

Staying outside made it hard to rest well.

After walking around the town's streets, Shen Han increasingly felt something odd about this town.

Clearly, it's a small town within Qianyang Country's borders, but the pedestrians' attire distinctly belonged to Great Wei.

As Shen Han looked around, many pedestrians were holding weapons that seemed quite fine.

At the very least, they were all of blue-grade, with some weapons being of purple-grade entries.

To afford weapons of such quality, these people must hold significant status in Great Wei.

Seeing this, Shen Han became even more vigilant.

Clearly, it's a remote small town, yet why are so many experts and powerful individuals from Great Wei gathering here...

Could it be that they are all here for the Advanced Cultivation Technique?

With this question in mind, Shen Han continued searching for an inn.

After searching around, there was surprisingly only one inn in the entire town.

Though there was only this one inn, it appeared quite luxurious, and it was large, with plenty of guest rooms.
