I Contracted All Ancient Divine Artifacts

Chapter 116: Gui Hun Port and Joining a Faction

"Gui Hun Port."

For some reason, Han Zhan's mind filled with the wrinkled face of that old woman.

Combined with this name, it carried a kind of inexplicable feeling.

Is this the City of Extreme Evil?

It seemed somewhat different from the City of Extreme Evil he had imagined.

When he set foot on Gui Hun Port, Han Zhan finally glimpsed through the misty expanse of the river, clearly seeing the scenes on the distant opposite shore.

That appeared to be a city.

The City of Extreme Evil.

"Woo——"

A whistle sounded again over the river. Unlike the one he'd heard before, this one was exceptionally clear, as if it was right beside him.

Soon after, Han Zhan really saw a ferry, slowly heading toward them.

His mind instantly went on high alert.

When the ferry docked into the port, a loudspeaker on the ship suddenly came to life, and the voice reverberated throughout the port.

"Get on the ship, or starve to death here, your choice."

A straightforward and brutal way of communicating, that's very City of Extreme Evil.

The impatient voice over the loudspeaker slightly eased some of Han Zhan's vigilance. He flowed with the tide and stepped forward, boarding the ship by way of the extended deck.

Once he boarded, the ship set off.

The bow cut through the river, the water trailing smoothly off to the sides as the ferry steadily headed towards the opposite bank.

It was then that Han Zhan realized, on this large ship, there wasn't a single other passenger besides himself.

After a short while, the white, peeling iron door of the captain's cabin was pushed open, and a somewhat disheveled middle-aged man walked out.

"Newcomer?"

"How long have you been here?"

"Less than an hour," Han Zhan replied.

The man nodded and asked again, "What port name did you see on the sign?"

Hearing this question, Han Zhan was slightly taken aback.

The port name, was there something significant about it?

Seeing Han Zhan remain silent, the man gave a "heh," unperturbed, as if he had seen this situation many times.

"You look young, with a striking appearance, yet you're pretty cautious. Looks like you've been tricked a lot outside."

Han Zhan: ...You're right.

"Don't worry, don't overthink it, I'm just a boatman responsible for picking you up from various ports and ferrying you across to the City of Extreme Evil."

"You seem new, and I might have to deal with you in the future, so let me do you a favor and tell you some common knowledge."

"The entire City of Extreme Evil consists of five regions, each governed by different forces."

"These five forces are: the Holy Bishop, Sun Never Sets Knight Order, Mechanical Sect, Anti-Xia Alliance, and Alien Race."

When hearing the five forces being named, Han Zhan's mind momentarily froze.

Holy Bishop, sounds a bit like the style of the Old Covenant, and the Old Covenant had one of the Twelve Apostles heavily injured and missing; could it be that he entered the City of Extreme Evil?

Sun Never Sets Knight Order, no explanation needed, they are the ones who love attaching 'XX Knight' to their names, obviously the Imperial Knight.

Mechanical Sect and Alien Race are quite straightforward, the names alone suggest who their main members might be.

But this Anti-Xia Alliance... and why wasn't there any mention of anything related to the Longevity Company?

Many thoughts crowded Han Zhan's mind as the old captain continued:

"Among these five forces, the largest is the Anti-Xia Alliance. These folks are all freaks, with varied and bizarre abilities, not to mention they're extraordinarily strong. Hey, if you're planning to pay your respects to the Anti-Xia Alliance, then I ought to ingratiate myself with you."

"Pay respects to a dock?" Han Zhan heard a new term.

"You finally spoke up, I thought a mute had come aboard this time."

The boatman japed and then explained to Han Zhan: "Paying respects to a dock means joining different forces, which is why I initially asked you what port name you saw on the sign."

"Different people entering the City of Extreme Evil will be divided into different forces based on the port name on the sign."

"The City of Extreme Evil has a total of five docks, and which dock you ultimately join will be determined by the name on the sign."

So that's how it is.

After hearing the explanation from the captain, a bit of logic appeared amidst the unreasonable, and Han Zhan nodded.

"So, you still haven't told me what name you saw on the port sign?"

"Gui Hun Port."

"Gui Hun Port?" the captain's voice suddenly rose by an octave.

His unusual reaction made Han Zhan also become vigilant. "What's wrong? Which force does Gui Hun Port belong to? Is there an issue?"

The captain's eyes scanned Han Zhan up and down.

"Kid, why are you so cautious? I already told you all this common knowledge, yet you make up a fake port name to deceive me?"

"Do you know, that there are five ports corresponding to five forces: Saint Master Port, Sun Never Sets Port, Mechanical Heart Port, Anti-Summer Port, and Longevity Port."

"There's no such thing as this Gui Hun Port you mentioned!"

Listening to the captain's words, Han Zhan was dumbfounded.

No Gui Hun Port?

But he clearly saw the name 'Gui Hun Port' on the sign when at the port?

Han Zhan instinctively wanted to explain, but quickly dismissed the idea.

Unusual situations often have strange reasons.

Being a newcomer to the City of Extreme Evil with no acquaintances, although this captain hadn't done anything harmful to him yet, better safe than sorry; he took the safer route and offered an apologetic smile.

"Didn't realize it was like that. I must have remembered wrong; the sign I saw must have read Anti-Summer Port."

"You sure?" The captain scrutinized Han Zhan once more.

"If you don't belong to this force but enter a port belonging to them, you don't need me to explain what you'll face, do you?"

This boy can hardly speak a truthful word and is so young, definitely a dreadful criminal outside. But this is the City of Extreme Evil.

Unaware of the captain's internal grumbling, Han Zhan calmly nodded, "I'm sure."

The name Anti-Summer Port, just by the sound of it, seems linked to Great Xia.

Han Zhan chose this name out of the five port names for exactly this reason.

Seeing Han Zhan firmly reconfirm, the captain finally reluctantly believed him.

"Alright then, Anti-Summer Port it is! Let's set off now!"

"Woo Woo——"

A melodious whistle once again echoed through the ship.

The captain entered the cockpit, adjusted the direction, and the entire ferry started powering up, accelerating towards the City of Extreme Evil's port.
