Wizard: Starting from the Skill Tree

Chapter 229: Descent

Robert is still on the path of searching for extraordinary paths, and he is spending a fortune online to acquire relevant information.

But so far, he hasn't gained anything. He had received some messages before, but found they didn't work when he tried them.

He increasingly realizes that he can't simply treat this as a game.

Robert managed to reach Level 4 largely through relentless practice of swordsmanship, learning a few things from an old soldier in the village where he was born.

Moreover, through daily and consistent exercise, he slowly improved to Level 4, thanks to his excellent physical foundation in reality.

In reality, Robert exercises every day and has a specialized team to devise his training plans, making his physical strength slightly higher than that of ordinary people.

Many ordinary players have only reached LV2 or LV3 after half a month, and those exceeding Level 3 are few.

Robert is currently walking in the outskirts of Abilene Town, trying to find some clues.

This is considered a relatively dangerous area, with some goblins active in the wilderness.

These goblins have reached Level 6 or 7, and there are legends of bosses exceeding Level 10.

Robert figured that since there are no clues in other places, perhaps he could find traces of extraordinary paths in dangerous areas.

Even if he dies, he just needs to spend some money to resurrect, as he is not short of money anyway.

Suddenly, a fire meteor appeared in the sky, and Robert quickly noticed it.

It was evident that this fire meteor was very close to him; its trajectory suggested that it would crash into the forest ahead.

Robert sensed that this might trigger a significant event in the game, potentially offering an opportunity he absolutely couldn't miss.

He was the closest, just in the right position to seize this chance.

Robert promptly headed towards the forest, cautiously keeping an eye on the surrounding demons to avoid any conflict.

For him, the most important thing now was to safely reach the area where the fire meteor would crash, so he could be the first to grab any treasure.

...

Duke was manipulating yellow sand all the way; the intense friction when passing through the atmosphere suddenly raised the temperature around him.

Fortunately, there was an abundance of water elements around, and he was continuously condensing clear water for cooling, gradually reducing the temperature of the yellow sand.

Without doing so, he might have been roasted alive before even landing.

After passing through the atmosphere, Duke was able to gradually and steadily control the ball formed by yellow sand, slowly decreasing its speed.

As the altitude continued to decrease, he could fully control the descent speed, heading towards the ground below.

During this process, Duke also observed this world.

He recalled the scene he saw when he first appeared; on this visible side of the world, there were two continents, while the unseen areas probably had more land.

The air composition of this plane is similar to that of the Wizard Plane, not making him uncomfortable, at least suitable for human survival.

After flying for a while, Duke felt something was amiss, and after a moment, he realized.

This plane has no plane suppression!

Usually, when going to other planes, there would be a certain plane suppression effect, preventing the full display of one's strength.

Previously, whether Duke went to the Beastman Plane or the Wood Elf Plane, he would feel some level of plane suppression.

But here, there was no plane suppression at all, and the Magic Power flowed incredibly smoothly.

Duke found this strange; what kind of plane is this, and why can't he feel plane suppression?

Of course, he hadn't returned to the Wizard Plane, because the structure of the continents here was completely different from that of the Wizard Plane.

Duke couldn't come to a conclusion in a short time and could only continue to manipulate the yellow sand to land.

As he got closer to the ground, he could see that the land was dotted with many buildings, which looked very human-like in style.

This indicated that the main race in this plane should be humans or humanoid races, and there was civilization.

Observing this point made Duke feel somewhat relieved; the presence of civilization at least indicated the possibility of communication.

He intentionally chose a forested area to land, avoiding places where civilization gathered, to prevent causing massive casualties upon landing.

Duke did not want to face attacks from all directions immediately upon landing, and he maintained his sense of reverence at all times.

It was still unclear what level this plane was, or what level the top powers in this plane were.

Duke manipulated the yellow sand to land in this forest; despite the speed having slowed down a lot, the impact was still strong, instantly collapsing a piece of the forest and creating a large pit at the site.

After landing, he manipulated the yellow sand to spread out, revealing his figure, finally able to catch a breath.

The temperature of the yellow sand around him remained very high, not much different from molten iron, emitting an extremely high temperature.

Duke glanced at the fallen trees around him and the pit beneath his feet; the disturbance was not very large, at least not alarming places too far away, affecting only this small area.

This was the result of his effort to control during the descent process.

After landing, Duke immediately scouted the surroundings, waved his hand, and a few Activated Spirit Birds flew out to survey the situation around.

He noticed quite a few goblins heading his way, including a high-level Demon King of Goblins.

In addition to that, there was a blond man coming over, whose strength was very weak, almost like an ordinary person.

In no time, these goblins appeared in sight, charging at Duke upon seeing him.

These goblins had been living here for a long time, and in their eyes, humans were just food. Seeing Duke, they couldn't resist the temptation of food and charged over.

After all, this human in front of them didn't seem very big; this bit of meat wasn't enough for them to share, and those who ran slower would miss out.

Seeing these charging goblins, Duke smiled wryly.

He stood still, but the yellow sand beside him moved. Strips of sandy ribbons darted forward, piercing through the chests of these goblins.

The yellow sand showed no sign of pausing, smoothly taking away the lives of the goblins one after another, like a ruthless life-reaping machine.

The goblins, who were howling just a second ago, instantly felt immense fear; the enemy before them was entirely beyond their capability to handle.

Some goblins were already turning to flee, with the King of Goblins running the fastest, holding a wolf fang club and fleeing without turning back.

Duke wouldn't let them escape, directly manipulating the yellow sand to annihilate the fleeing goblins.

Even the King of Goblins was dealt with in an instant; in Duke's eyes, the King of Goblins was no different from ordinary goblins.
