The essence of the Light Attribute Crystal Core is essentially a substance containing a high concentration of Light Attribute Energy.
Such things are most likely only found in the true Light God Ruins, and those places that merely have some connection to the God of Light do not meet this requirement.
Duke selected from those seven places with abnormal energy fluctuations and finally chose three locations most likely to be the Light God Ruins.
He plans to investigate these three places one by one to see if he can discover anything.
First, Duke chose the Northern Ice Wind Valley, where an ancient group of buildings covered in snow and ice was discovered, preserved exceptionally well.
At the entrance, there are obvious symbols of the Light Sect, and the architectural style is somewhat similar to the existing Divine Hall of Light, but more ancient and mysterious.
This entrance is extremely hidden, ordinary people could hardly find it. The team sent by Robert accidentally discovered this entrance using some real-world surveying knowledge.
Duke thought for a moment and said: "I will first investigate Northern Ice Wind Valley, have your people wait for me there, I will depart soon."
"Lord Duke, let me accompany you." Robert proactively volunteered.
Duke shook his head: "No need, having your team as a guide is sufficient. You continue handling other affairs in Azure Vault City."
Although not bringing Robert along, Duke had another person he wanted to bring, and that was the Holy Daughter Dali.
As an important figure in the Light Sect, the Holy Daughter Dali could play a key role in the Light God's ruins.
However, it depends on whether Dali has time, otherwise, he cannot forcibly take her.
...
Duke arrived in front of the Divine Hall of Light, finding it seemingly busier than usual today.
Believers coming and going, the clergy hurriedly attending to matters, a tense yet expectant atmosphere permeated the air.
The knight guarding the door recognized Duke, immediately greeting respectfully: "Lord Duke, are you here to see Her Highness, the Holy Daughter?"
Duke nodded: "Is she in the hall?"
"Yes, but..." the knight said somewhat awkwardly, "Today is the monthly Day of Divine Blessing, the Holy Daughter is presiding over the ritual in the main hall, she may take a while."
Just as he spoke, a melodious sacred song emanated from the direction of the main hall, followed by the unified prayers of the believers.
Duke could sense a pure Light Energy gathering in the main hall, clearly indicating Dali was casting some kind of magic.
"No problem, I will wait here for her," Duke responded calmly.
Approximately half an hour later, the ceremony ended.
Believers gradually exited from the main hall, each with expressions of satisfaction and tranquility.
Duke stood quietly amongst the shadows of the pillars, waiting patiently.
Soon, Dali, surrounded by a group of priests, emerged from the main hall.
Today, she wore a formal Main Priest Robe, a silver crown embedded with Light Gems adorned her head, and a Holy Scepter was held in her hand, she radiated a majestic and sacred aura.
But when her eyes met Duke's, that dignified expression melted instantly, revealing a trace of surprise.
Dali softly instructed the priests beside her, then quickly approached Duke.
With her movements, the hem of the Main Priest Robe slightly parted, revealing a pair of fair long legs.
"Mr. Duke, why are you here?" Dali's voice carried an uncontrollable joy, "Is there something you need?"
Duke faintly smiled: "Indeed, there's something I need your assistance with, could we find a quiet place to talk?"
Dali nodded, leading Duke to a quiet room on the side wing of the Divine Hall.
It appeared to be a library, the shelves lined with various tomes, a faint sandalwood scent lingered in the air.
After closing the door, Dali relaxed a bit, placing the heavy scepter on a rack, taking off the silver crown, and gently tossing her long golden hair that had been confined for so long.
This casual action rendered her less solemn as a Holy Daughter, and added a touch of youthful charm.
"So, what's the matter that you need my help with?" Dali curiously asked, her azure eyes fixed on Duke.
Duke straightforwardly said: "From the clues you previously provided me, I found several places that might truly be the Light God's ruins, intending to explore them. The first stop is Northern Ice Wind Valley, I'd like to invite you to join me."
Dali's eyes immediately brightened: "Light God Ruins? Are you sure?"
"The probability is quite high..." Duke then detailed the information gathered from Robert's arranged team.
Dali listened attentively, and after hearing it all, she was mostly convinced that it was indeed the Light God's ruins.
She hadn't expected Duke to have investigated so thoroughly so quickly, as the clues previously provided were merely some vague traces.
"So... if you have time, could you accompany me? With you as the Holy Daughter, I believe the ruins won't trouble us too much," Duke stated his intention.
The Holy Daughter Dali laughed: "Of course, but Northern Ice Wind Valley is quite far away; I need to handle some affairs before I can leave."
"No problem, when you're ready, come find me, I have a faster way to get there," Duke smiled.
As the Holy Daughter of the Light Sect, Dali had numerous duties making it difficult to find free time, necessitating proper arrangement of sect-related affairs.
Two days later, Dali came to the Star Embers Potion Shop to find Duke, though now she had a completely different appearance, no longer wearing the white robe filled with holy brilliance.
She was instead in a light travel outfit with white fur trim, her golden hair styled into a neat ponytail, carrying a practical-looking backpack on her back, a short magic wand at her waist.
Her outfit brought less sacred solemnity and more youthful charm.
The Holy Daughter's attire was indeed too conspicuous, easy to attract attention, not suitable for travel.
"Sorry to keep you waiting," Dali apologized with slight embarrassment, "The sect affairs were more than expected, it took a while to arrange everything properly."
Duke assessed her new look and smiled: "No worries, this outfit suits you. If you're ready, let's set off."
He then left Azure Vault City along with Dali, due to Dali's changed attire, the guards at the city gates didn't even recognize her as the Light Sect's Holy Daughter, merely mistaking her for a stunning adventurer.
"Mr. Duke, aren't we taking a carriage?" Dali wondered while walking on the road outside the city.
"No need, I said we have a faster way, but we need to get further away from Azure Vault City," Duke explained.
Dali nodded without further questions, following Duke with much trust until they stopped behind a mountain outside Azure Vault City.
