Chapter 121: You Acted Well But Unfortunately I've Seen It Before

Feng Mu was about to speak.

Suddenly, Snake-faced Gong Qi shouted, "Take that hand out and empty everything from your pockets."

The recipient's face changed slightly, but he obediently extended his hand with a phone clutched in it, the screen showing a blind call being dialed to a number.

The number was already halfway entered.

Gong Qi could keenly spot the receiver's deceit even on the brink of death, partly due to his sharp curiosity and partly thanks to the occupational habits of a prison guard.

"Fortunately, Fifth Brother's sharpness saved the day; otherwise, I would have made a grave mistake," Feng Mu said sincerely and with gratitude.

Gong Qi walked over, snatched the phone and handed it to Feng Mu, smiled and said, "Little Junior Brother is still inexperienced, too honest; it's not your fault, blame only the despicable and insidious people outside."

The recipient's face twitched, speechless.

Feng Mu looked coldly at the recipient and said, "Since you're dishonest, the previous question is void, let's restart the count, okay?"

The recipient spread his hands, seeming to have given up any other thoughts, and nodded in resignation.

Prior to coming here, Feng Mu had already formulated three questions in his mind, consecutively asking them and the recipient cooperatively answered each.

Feng Mu furrowed his brow, pondering the answers he just received.

"This guy is scheming until the end, his words cannot be fully trusted. Better jot down the answers, then I'll have friends from the Calamity Corpse Sect later verify them for me."

Feng Mu closed the computer, put away the phone, turned around pretending to leave.

The recipient panicked, taking a step forward, only to see Niu, Hyena, and Snake Face blocking him, all glaring at him with malicious intent.

His gaze didn't look at a dying man, but rather as though viewing a delicious dish ready to be served.

The recipient roared, "Feng Mu, I've answered your questions, but you haven't answered mine."

Feng Mu halted in his tracks, turned his head with a calm goat face to the recipient and apologized, "Oh, I almost forgot."

Feng Mu paused, then said, "But you tried to deceive me earlier, and I'm quite upset."

The recipient angrily replied, "I've already answered an extra question for you."

Feng Mu shook his head, "That punishment isn't nearly enough, here's the deal, five minutes; you survive for five minutes, and I'll give you the answer."

With that, Feng Mu didn't wait for the recipient's agreement before looking at Niu, Hyena, and Snake Face, saying, "Sixth Brother already had his fun today, and Fifth Brother listened to a story, why not leave this guy for Fourth Brother."

Feng Mu's allocation was clearly fair, they all came out for [team-building], naturally ensuring everyone gets their "meat."

"Hahaha, good Junior Brother!"

Hyena Yuan Xidi couldn't wait for the other two to agree, laughing wildly, his eyes emitting a chilling murderous intent, swung his arm like a heavy cannon toward the recipient's cheek.

Initially, he was worried this guy would be scared by Senior Brother, losing his fighting spirit and giving up, never expecting Little Junior Brother's genius "five-minute countdown," forcing the recipient to go all out for survival.

"Ahhh, Feng Mu you shameless!"

The recipient's face contorted and swelled, being merely the brains of the group, he despises meaningless fights, especially as he can't win, preferring a quick death.

But now he must fight desperately since the sunk cost outweighs even death.

The recipient watched Hyena charging at him, viciously revealing with bloodthirstiness and madness in his eyes, making his scalp explode, hurriedly dodging.

"Feng Mu's insidious and cunning, and the brothers he brought along are all bloodthirsty madmen!"

The recipient dodged left and right, feeling like a sandbag, being pounded heavily by iron fists while continually spitting black blood.

"Hahaha, so satisfying."

Yuan Xidi laughed manically, a pair of iron fists like a raging storm enveloping the recipient entirely, indulging in the blood spray splattering on the mask, feeling even more exhilarating.

Three minutes later.

Despite Yuan Xidi being careful to hold back, the recipient's muscles and bones were crushed, collapsing like mush, with only his head still able to move.

The recipient gasped fiercely, staring at the goat face and asked hoarsely, "Feng Mu, tell me, what's the name you're pretending to be?"

Feng Mu walked to the recipient, looking down from above: "Enough, you didn't last long enough, but I'm soft-hearted so I'll tell you, let you die knowing."

Feng Mu squatted half down, whispered in the recipient's ear: "You got it wrong, I'm not Feng Mu, I'm Zheng Hang!"

The recipient's eyes widened, finally obtaining the answer, his expression showing a hint of relief.

Unexpectedly, he heard a joking sneer next: "You performed well, I almost fell for it."

The recipient's neck stiffened, bloodshot eyes glaring at Feng Mu.

Feng Mu said softly, "You were too deliberate, the phone call was just a smokescreen, the real recording is hidden away, isn't it."

The recipient remained silent, seemingly not understanding what Feng Mu was saying.

Feng Mu sighed, reached out with a hooked finger, gently cut open the recipient's pocket and fished out an eyeball.

He lightly tossed it, the bloodstained eyeball gleaming in the dim light, reflecting technological glints with a microchip embedded inside.

The recipient turned instantly ashen, hoarsely asking, "How did you find out?"

Suddenly, scenes flashed in the recipient's mind — discovering rusted nails in Feng Mu's room, glimpsing Feng Mu's true nature from Black Face's talk, and recalling the moments when answering Feng Mu's questions.

These scenes spun like a carousel in his head, evoking an indescribable sense of familiarity.

The current scene was akin to a cruel joke fate was playing.

Feng Mu likewise found the scene familiar, sincere in his praise: "You acted without flaw, every detail was perfect, it's just a pity luck wasn't on your side."

He paused briefly, hooked his finger smashing the eyeball, grinding the chip inside into debris, gradually sprinkling it on the recipient's forehead.

He said, "I've seen such a performance before elsewhere!!!"

After saying so, Feng Mu stood up, his shoe crushing the recipient's face, flattening his astonishment and despair into the floor.

"Each one of you learns these bad habits, liking to hide things in your eyes."

[You killed your opponent and absorbed most of the Resentful Energy from his body, the remainder disintegrating upon his death.]

[The Calamity Iron inside you digested significantly, Edibility ↑]

[Nine Nether Evil Iron (Edibility 5.7% /100%, Reserve 0.3%.)]

A prompt box flashed by, under the mask Feng Mu showed a thoughtful expression.

After two seconds.

Feng Mu withdrew his foot and said to the bright-eyed Snake-faced Gong Qi, "Fifth Brother, you're absolutely right, people outside are more insidious one after another, from now on I must be more vigilant."
