Beast Taming: Abyssal Descent

Chapter 155: Abyssal Rules' Restrictions on Contract Guardian Beasts

Unfortunately, the radar can't detect the tiers of exotic beasts, it can only track life forms.

Moreover, they've been traversing the Central Region, clearing a large number of exotic beasts, causing most exotic beasts in the Central Region to flee, making them slower to find targets.

Luckily, they are flying in the air, giving them a significant advantage over the exotic beasts running on the ground.

Whenever Grey Wolf sees an exotic beast, he fires cannons or laser beams without a second thought.

Harvesting them becomes quite effortless.

Soon, they finally managed to accumulate the last 1 million Experience Points.

[Prompt: Guardian Beast (Grey Wolf) breaks the Abyssal Rules restriction...]

[Prompt: Guardian Beast (Grey Wolf) Level up to LV50...]

[Prompt: Congratulations! Your Guardian Beast (Grey Wolf) has entered Tier Five, and reflux...]

[Prompt: Your Guardian Beast (Red Wolf) has entered Tier Four, and reflux...]

...

A long string of prompts sounded in Mo Qingchen's ears.

Then the next moment, a warm flow poured into his body from outside, continuously washing through his limbs and bones along the meridians, swirling wildly inside his body.

Finally, this warm flow converged into the Abyss Pattern on his forehead.

The electronic voice, which had just quieted down, started broadcasting once again in his ear.

[Prompt: Beastmaster (Mo Qingchen) Level LV37→LV38...LV39...LV40...LV42]

Upgrade prompts kept echoing.

The massive amount of Experience Points injected into the body fills the experience gauge. One could say, at this moment, the Level skyrockets directly!

The Abyss Pattern on the forehead automatically opens, Mo Qingchen looks at his Attribute Panel.

[Beastmaster: Mo Qingchen (Middle Tier Beastmaster)]

[Tier: LV42 (Tier Three, 159.61 million/300 million)]

[Attributes: Power 177, Agility 183, Spirit 224, Constitution 122]

The reflux from Grey Wolf directly caused his level to soar by five, reaching LV42.

At the same time, his Basic Attributes were slightly increased once again.

Of course, this slight increase is in relation to Mo Qingchen's current four Basic Attributes.

For other Beastmasters, having only two Guardian Beasts, and due to talent issues, every tier ascent's reflux can increase each familiar attribute by more than 5 points, which is already quite remarkable.

This is the common enhancement situation for Ordinary Beastmasters.

For top Beastmaster academies like [Yanhuang Academy], inside are either geniuses or prodigies, and the recruited students' first Guardian Beast has no talent below A-level.

Therefore, when their Guardian Beasts upgrade tiers, the attributes from reflux, the highest single increase can reach around 10 points, and the lowest single can be a few points, mainly depending on the contract Guardian Beast.

Like Mo Jin's Great Needle Bee, belonging to an assassin-type exotic beast, agility maxed out, slightly weaker in power, the rest were pretty weak.

But SS-level talent is evident here, so even the lowest Spirit and Constitution attributes get 4 points each time the tier upgrades.

For those Ordinary Beastmasters, the highest enhanced attributes of their D-level or C-level Guardian Beasts are around 5 points.

That's why in the general perception of Beastmasters, they are very weak, so during combat, it's best to stay far away to avoid getting assassinated by the enemy.

Of course, if a Beastmaster can acquire a lot of high-tier Abyssal Equipment to forcefully increase their Basic Attributes, nothing stops them from personally getting involved and fighting alongside some exotic beasts.

Or if they have awakened with extraordinary talent and equipped some gear, they can also occasionally compete with some exotic beasts.

"The spiritual power of Tier Nine is between 260~300, I am only 36 points short of the minimum requirement. If I get a set of high-tier equipment that enhances spiritual power, does that mean I can contract the fourth Guardian Beast in advance?"

Looking at his spiritual power value, Mo Qingchen touched his chin, lost in thought.

The real situation is due to the limiting Abyssal rules.

When the Beast Taming Era arrived, these restrictive rules naturally appeared in the minds of Initial Tier Beastmasters.

Before entering a tier, you can contract the first Guardian Beast.

At Tier Three, you can contract the second Guardian Beast.

At Tier Six, you can contract the third Guardian Beast.

At Tier Nine, you can contract the fourth Guardian Beast.

There is no information beyond Tier Nine; likely the restrictions are there but might be somewhat reduced.

And this Abyssal rules restriction is not unbreakable, it can be broken by forcefully stacking spiritual attributes!

According to the tier levels, as long as you stack it up, you can break the restriction and contract more Guardian Beasts in advance.

However, this method also has limitations.

First, you can only wear equipment produced from Abyssal Dungeons. Only this type of equipment can trigger the Abyssal rules restriction.

Even if human-made equipment is equipped with a lot of spiritual power, it's not recognized by the Abyssal rules.

The most frustrating thing is the high spiritual value-adding Abyssal Equipment, which is extremely rare from Abyssal Dungeons!

Tier Three attribute limits are 70~100 points, if you want to contract a Guardian Beast in advance before Tiers 0~2, you need at least 70 spiritual value.

This attribute value is not considered high; armor, helmets, clothes, belts, pants, shoes, gloves, accessories - eight equipment slots each need only 10 points, and you can stack up directly.

Secondly, the Abyssal rules restrict Abyssal Equipment, allowing each slot only a single equipment's attributes to add to spiritual attributes except for accessories.

For example, if you get two weapons that increase spiritual power, only one weapon's spiritual power can be added to your spiritual power for breaking the contract Guardian Beast's restriction.

Accessories are an exception because they include earrings, necklaces, rings, and decorations.

Earrings, necklaces, and decorations, only count as one, while rings count as two.

So, a total of 12 pieces of equipment can be used to stack spiritual attributes.

Basically, getting such a gear set where each piece only needs to increase the spiritual power value by 6 points can achieve 70+ spiritual power attributes, thereby allowing the second Guardian Beast to be contracted in advance.

Unfortunately, there is also the third limitation of the Abyssal rules!

That is, whichever tier the Beastmaster is in, only equipment from that tier can be used to stack spiritual power attributes!

This is the most frustrating limitation!

Under normal circumstances, as long as you are skilled enough, using Abyssal Equipment beyond Tier Nine before entering any tiers is possible!

But when stacking spiritual power, trying to contract more Guardian Beasts in advance, it is entirely unworkable.

Therefore, whatever tier you are in, you can only use Abyssal Equipment from that tier to stack spiritual attributes.

And the Tier Zero Abyssal Equipment from the descent of the Beast Taming Era to now hasn't shown a single piece that reached Purple Epic Quality!

Even Golden Precious Quality or Silver Rare Quality is incredibly rare, and especially those that increase spiritual power value, are even rarer.

Only Tier 1~2 Abyssal Equipment that increases spiritual attributes has slightly more equipment.
