The Defense Communication was still receiving information.

From the first message, more and more information about the Advanced Fusion Body was synchronized over.

Strangely, when Cheng Ye initially suspected that the Fusion Body was targeting him, he felt a bit anxious, holding onto a sliver of hope.

But at this moment, he suddenly calmed down, gazing towards the direction of Zone B-3.

"Long."

"Here."

"The Fusion Body is coming."

"Understood!"

Long paused for a moment, then immediately reacted, his previously honest expression suddenly vanishing, a burst of uncontrollable ferocity erupting from his eyes.

Over the years, due to conflicting ideologies among communities, conflicts had been frequent, and the Celestial Essence Community's expansion to its current scale had never relied on the charity of other forces.

Sandbags for cover were quickly moved out, and four machine guns were swiftly set up in designated positions.

Rooftops between the four-story hotel buildings gradually filled with people climbing up, skillfully setting up firing lines.

Two teams rushed to the opposite block, while another two teams cut off the end of the street.

As the Fusion Body approached, without needing Cheng Ye's orders, everyone instinctively formed multidimensional shooting positions such as pulling, sniping, frontal suppression, flank ambush, and guerrilla harassment, as if rehearsed numerous times.

"Two hours passed, and you came back with two lackeys."

"But I... wasn't idle either."

In the distance, the sound of tentacles smashing against the ground seemed to have reached them.

Cheng Ye grinned, slotting the Defense Communication back into his belt.

Though unsure of where the information came from, the Advanced Fusion Body's mystery had been thoroughly unveiled.

After all, it's just a brainier monster.

But the Wastelanders' minds had become violent, turning into a monster weakened certain intelligence, the previous headstrong dive into a kiting tactic was the best proof.

"Harboring negative obsession against me..."

Cheng Ye quickly retreated behind cover, swiftly sifting through those he had interacted with recently.

Garcia was certainly one, beaten by Liu Bi into emergency care; this guy surely hated him.

Yet Garcia was an inspector; the checkpoint would transfer him before an outbreak, never letting him run rampant as a Fusion Body.

Could it be the previously released, quarantined individuals?

Cheng Ye recalled their departure behavior, quickly dismissing the thought.

Such emotion didn't seem strong enough to still pursue him after morphing into a Fusion Body.

After all, the inspector released the quarantine for business, not targeting them specifically.

So, who could it be?

"It's here!"

Long's shout interrupted Cheng Ye's musings.

Almost the moment his voice fell, a tentacle Fusion Body appeared at the end of the street.

Two metallic tentacles hung behind, like robotic arms carrying it forward.

"So brazen?"

"Give me the rocket launcher!"

Reaching for the green rocket tube, Cheng Ye focused his mind, deciding to test the waters with a shot first.

The tail flame propelled the armor-piercing grenade out.

As expected, though the Fusion Body was merely acting brazen, it was actually in disguise; as the rocket fired, it bizarrely changed trajectory and sped away.

Boom.

The armor-piercing grenade exploded behind, the Fusion Body's tentacles frantically flailing as it accelerated forward.

Almost simultaneously, tentacle impacts sounded from behind the hotel; these creatures actually knew how to attack from both sides!

"Open fire!"

Before Long's shout finished, dense gunfire erupted like popping beans, hundreds of bullets weaving a fiery web against the Fusion Body.

This wasn't the voluntary firepower blockade arranged by factory residents; it was a solid battlefront of a corps.

The front-facing Fusion Body had never seen such a spectacle; it was turned into a sieve instantly.

"Is it finished?"

"Still two fatal wounds left!"

Judging a Fusion Body's fatal wounds was quite simple: any part not quickly healing after being hit was deemed fatal.

Now, from head to toe, five visible holes remained, obviously two more fatal wounds short.

Unable to bear the frontal violent firepower, the Fusion Body retreated to a side alley suddenly.

But Cheng Ye with the rocket launcher was waiting for this moment, not aiming directly at the Fusion Body, but instead pointing the barrel at the alley entrance, pulling the trigger!

Boom!

A dazzling blaze erupted at the alley entrance, the Fusion Body just entering the alley was forcefully blasted out by the explosive shockwave.
