Chapter 152: The Truth of the Hell World and the Fairy Tale World

Sunlight filtered through the overlapping leaves, casting onto the forest, as the witch in a sheer long dress stuck out her tongue to lick her lips.

The flowers at this moment closed their buds, and the distant Silver Country, covered in thorns and floral fragrance, looked like a dreamlike fairyland under the sun.

A group of fluffy little animals of various races also stopped playing and hid in tree holes, sneakily sticking out their heads, seemingly muttering something.

All of this caused Old Green to completely fall into a crash and confusion; he couldn't believe—couldn't believe that his homeland was merely a virtual world, nothing but a vassal of this Hell-like planet.

If this were true, wouldn't it be too sad...

However, he looked toward the distant scene, felt the familiar magic power and taste in the air, and in the floral fragrance, he saw many adventurers camping around the Silver Country.

Something's not right; there's a discrepancy!

Old Green seemed to want to deceive himself, yet also seemed to want to make one last struggle; he directly said, "Then why, the people from the Silver Country who go to Blue Star appear as normal human beings? According to your logic, shouldn't they be strange creatures?"

Xue Dili laughed; he was actually waiting for this answer as well. Although many of his prior speculations were baseless guesses, there were indeed other species present that could serve as beacons.

Xue Dili turned his head to look at the big sister who had transformed from a Silver Dragon; she seemed to be the Silver Witch referred to by the people of the Silver Country.

10 seconds left.

"Sorry, Miss Witch, I'm a traveler from the Otherworld, I was a bit rude earlier." Xue Dili extended his hand, "In my hometown, a handshake is a gesture of friendliness."

4 seconds left.

"You can call me Silver Princess, the ruler of the Silver Country." The witch immediately extended her hand, shaking hands with Xue Dili.

The witch's hand was icy cold, and she seemed quite restless as she used her index finger to scratch Xue Dili's palm.

"2..." Xue Dili silently counted down.

"Hmm?" The witch seemed a bit puzzled by what Xue Dili was muttering, and stepped a little closer.

"1!"

"Buzz!"

The world spun violently, the witch he was holding vanished, the bright sunlight disappeared, the surrounding little animals and the floral fragrance all vanished, leaving only the distant gathering of strange creatures mumbling incessantly.

Behind, it was a wet mess, stained with fresh blood; it was the movement of the bizarre spinal shape piercing through the skin as it was expelled by the Cursed Blood.

Old Green: "!!!"

Something's wrong, why isn't the witch in this world, something's wrong, something's wrong...

If his world and this Hell are a mirrored relationship, then the Silver Witch should correspond to a powerful bizarre creature; however, the witch Xue Dili had grasped vanished directly, and there was no bizarre creature before him.

Even at this moment, there was no movable strange creature around Xue Dili, only some human head-like beings muttering in the distance.

"I understand now, I gradually understand everything." Xue Dili grabbed the spinal shape of that creature, and the Cursed Blood immediately covered that thing; that section of the spine desperately struggled and twisted, eventually being forcibly twisted by the Cursed Blood into a bone-like bracelet worn on Xue Dili's wrist.

"Understand what?" Old Green's lips slightly parted for a long time without closing, and his murmuring was tinged with trembling, as if even his voice was no longer familiar.

"The Fairy Tale World should have originally been just a virtual world; the indigenous people of this planet created a virtual world network to escape some catastrophe or for other reasons." Xue Dili raised his hand, looking at the bracelet worn on his wrist.

"The twisted human heads of the strange creatures are actually Life Maintenance Pods, the fungal mats are hubs for nutrient delivery, and the mobile large strange creatures are backup nutrient delivery batteries for the human heads... If no issues arise, they can ignore this Hell-like world and living environment, spending millions, billions of years in a beautiful virtual world..."

Xue Dili looked up, thinking of the "Infinite Tsukuyomi" plan amidst a Ninja Village conflict.

And that Fairy Tale World, shares a similar but distinct aspect with "Infinite Tsukuyomi."

The Hell-like present world was abandoned, everyone lived in a world of illusion, and whether it was strange creatures or fungal mats, they were all merely maintenance devices to keep people existing forever in the world of illusion.

"But why did my illusory world come true?" Old Green said, the magic wand in his hand trembling slightly, as if it too felt the turmoil in its master's heart; the wrinkles on his thin face seemingly more pronounced in an instant.

"That's the question I also don't know, but just like you said, the world of illusion became real." Xue Dili took out his phone, turned on the screen, and played a video of "Ultraman Tiga."

"Just like my phone, this tokusatsu drama is just an illusion, but suddenly one day, I could enter the tokusatsu drama, and the people from the tokusatsu drama could enter my world; the two worlds are like two sides of a mirror, reflecting each other but advancing separately."

"It's as if this Hell-like world is the Outer World, and the Fairy Tale World is the Inner World; there's a 'God' that turned this virtual world real and independently evolved for an unknown number of years."

Xue Dili tossed his phone to Old Green, who fell silent; this episode happened to be playing "Qijela's Flower"; he had watched it before, and at that time, he had even complained with Xue Dili, "Living in a false world is just deceiving yourself."

But at this moment, the boomerang mercilessly struck him, and he could only feel that he couldn't breathe, his whole body cold, his limbs trembling, and the entire world had lost its familiar sensation.

Although there were still many doubts, they no longer mattered because simply knowing that a strange vertebra could instantly travel back and forth between the Fairy Tale World and this Hell-like planet made other trivial doubts irrelevant.

"So, that village elder Old Green is the real Green, and I am just a copy from the Fairy Tale World, right?" He closed his eyes and spoke this cruel truth.

"Yes and no. I suspect that the 'God' copies everyone on Hell Star who hasn't connected at a specific time, then throws them into the Fairy Tale World to fend for themselves. If someone in Hell is assimilated by the strange form, they directly replace the original individual in the Fairy Tale World, as if traversing through worlds."

Xue Dili finished, and Old Green understood his meaning, adding: "It's like that episode with Charlie Ja, the connection between 'Round Da Gu' and 'Nagano Hiroshi'?"

"Yes, so when you and those people of the Silver Country came to my world, it was like a bug appearing in a program, causing doubts in the running program of the Fairy Tale World. Therefore, to fix the bug, many strange problems arise. Let's go back to the Fairy Tale World again." Xue Dili smiled.

He put away the Holy Light, grasped a writhing fungal mat from the ground with his left hand, and snapped the fingers of his right hand sharply.

The next moment, the world overturned, and he returned to the Fairy Tale World again. The fungal mat in his hand did not transform into a flowery product; it continued twisting and seemed to contact something terrifying, starting to emit white smoke while being gradually corroded.

"This..." Old Green was speechless.

"This is the backup to prevent the bug," Xue Dili said.

He looked up, locking eyes with the bewildered Witch across from him, and Xue Dili waved his hand, asking, "Miss Witch, did I just leave?"

"You just 'whoosh' disappeared suddenly, and when you came back, you brought some disgusting thing..." The Witch hesitated, looking at the boy's face and sighed.

Such a lovely child, but unfortunately, it seems his mind isn't quite right and he often talks to himself, like he's conversing with something nonexistent.

But he's already an incredibly delicious prey; if his mind has issues, so be it; she can still savor him!

Xue Dili shrugged, making Old Green understand everything.

In the distance, Xue Dili saw a large camp of adventurers delving repeatedly into the thorny areas, most returning empty-handed.

Xue Dili pointed over there and asked, "Miss Witch, what is that?"

"Them? Some mercenaries and adventurers there for my entertainment during leisure, desperately trying to obtain treasure from my Silver Country." She lightly flicked her hair resting on her shoulder, occasionally glancing at Xue Dili beside her.

And in the distance, Xue Dili saw a team of adventurers carrying out an unconscious person from the thorn-covered jungle, who, after being treated, awoke to a burst of cheers and applause throughout the adventurer's camp.

The just-awakened citizen of the Silver Country seemed bewildered by everything in front of him, but upon seeing the dream-like white bread and clean water handed over, he burst into tears and joined the cheering crowd.

Old Green remained silent.

This world is false...

But here is real too. He watched the teams of adventurers bringing Silver Country people out from the thorns, recalling the hordes at the village entrance in Hell, trying to assimilate "humans" with strange forms.

At this moment, Old Green pointed to the distant crowd, asking, "Then what are they in Hell?"

"I guess their real bodies have long been dead, only leaving behind their spiritual forms," Xue Dili replied, "Because the Fairy Tale World has been disconnected materially from Hell Star for so long, causing those strange forms on Hell Star to completely lose consciousness."

Beside them, the Witch listened to Xue Dili's continuous self-talk, feeling only a sense of pity.

Such a fine person, but unfortunately, his mind has some issues.

But it's alright, a flawed mind is easier to deceive, and it's the same for X!

Then Xue Dili turned to the Witch and said, "Miss Witch, I heard that the Silver Kingdom's Princess is also asleep inside. Can I witness her?"

The Witch's eyes lit up.

Indeed, a flawed mind, not only is there no resistance, but he even steps into her lair willingly, unafraid of being subdued and dragged into the hidden chamber of her lair!

And soon, she led Xue Dili into the Silver City, where amidst thorns and fragrant flowers, he saw on a crystal-like bed, the Silver Kingdom Princess sleeping like a beauty from a fable.

"Do you see? This is the self-repair ability of this Inner World," Xue Dili smiled, raising his hand.

Behind him, the Witch had already grabbed a magic staff, ready to give Xue Dili a blow on the back of his head and drag him to her lair to devour!

"Buzz!" A snap of the fingers.

The magic staff hit air; Xue Dili vanished from the spot, leaving the Witch stunned, staring at the suddenly missing Xue Dili.
