Chapter 52: Celestial Thunder Sets Sail

Looking at the arrogant witch and listening to her words, even the great hero Hector of Troy could only withdraw his spear, his eyes like those of a fierce beast.

In this Greece filled with gods, if someone pulls out the name of a god as their banner, it's 100% real.

The spear Hector was gripping creaked; if he had been decisive and thrown it initially, this wouldn't have happened. But now, even he could feel the gaze of the gods seemingly watching this place, as if watching a drama unfold.

Their target is the one in the heavens! If he bares his fangs here and alerts the one above, he wouldn't be able to atone even with a thousand deaths.

Looking at that witch, even if her appearance was charming, this hero clutched his spear tightly.

Also bring along the heroes turned into pigs? Is this the first trial given by the gods?

Odysseus seemed to have found the answer. He quietly used Hector's broad shoulders to block the view, preparing to sneak into the Divine Hall to tell Xue Dili his guess.

Even if these heroes are temporarily turned into pigs now, as long as he brings them along, there must be a way to turn them back, or simply plead with the Goddess Athena.

But as soon as Odysseus left the line of sight, Xue Dili directly extended his hand and touched the nearest pig.

The next moment, the pig clad in armor turned back into the King of Sparta, who flew into a rage, raising his sword ready to strike at the grinning witch.

Being turned into a pig in front of the Trojans was the utmost humiliation for him. Even future epic poems would retain his history of being turned into a pig. Doesn't the King of Sparta care about his image?

"Menelaus!" Hector directly stopped him.

The King of Sparta could only angrily withdraw his sword. He knew it wasn't the right time to clash with a messenger of the gods; he was just trying to scare her.

As Xue Dili moved forward step by step, all the heroes turned into pigs regained their original forms. Although they were furious, none made a move but rather glared menacingly at Calypso.

Yet Calypso wasn't fazed by the angry heroes; her eyes were only on Xue Dili, hidden under the hood. She curiously asked, "Merciful hero, you can absorb all suffering upon yourself, but why can you ignore my Magic Potion?"

"Does this count as completing this trial?" Xue Dili didn't follow the words of the messenger of Zeus but directly asked back.

"Yes, but you must take off your hood. I want to see the appearance of a boy who amazes the gods." Her feather pointed to Xue Dili, and a gust of wind blew away Xue Dili's hood.

At this instant, all of Troy's onlookers were once again shocked.

That unique appearance and traits of Ancient Greece, a beauty far surpassing even the legendary Apollo—how could anyone in all of Greece have such looks?

Calypso's gaze was momentarily dazed, and not only her, even Odysseus and Ajax were left speechless upon seeing Xue Dili's true face.

Even these male Greek heroes couldn't help but internally exclaim, "Brother, brother, you smell so good!"

Not to mention Calypso, facing Xue Dili directly. She froze momentarily, even the gods in the heavens paled in comparison to this appearance.

It seemed to be the most perfect visage on earth, as if possessing the unique beauty of Ancient Greece itself, even the Goddess of Beauty Aphrodite would be overshadowed in sheer beauty.

Why would such pure beauty appear on a mere mortal?

What pained her more was seeing clearly that beneath those bandages, his whole body was tinged purple, as if bearing the world's suffering and pain.

She noticed then that Xue Dili's movements were always inconvenient, like being paralyzed, each step seeming to exhaust all his strength.

Precisely because of this, this frail and beautiful young man's demeanor became even more captivating.

She regretted it, regretted using the Magic Potion on so many heroes before, making an already precarious situation even worse for this child.

She held the feather in her hand, feeling helpless.

But Xue Dili merely pulled his hood back up silently and said, "Celestial Thunder, ready to embark, everyone follow."

"Roar!" At that moment, the heroes came to their senses, letting out an earth-shaking war cry.

Only Calypso, the shape-shifting witch, was at a loss, unsure what expression to show—anger or guilt?

Because from start to finish, Xue Dili only ignored her.

The heroes about to embark didn't care about the messenger of the gods; not slaughtering her on the spot was only to ensure smooth sailing of their plans.

The King of Troy brought out a map of the Aegean Sea, accompanied by princes and princesses to see them off.

During this time, some princesses and heroes developed mutual affections and joined in the farewell lined for these heroes.

The older heroes teased the younger ones and the princesses, and all of Troy was bidding the heroes farewell as they set sail, recording the commencement of this great epic.

After all, this was Ancient Greece, a place that adulates heroes and beauty.

Holding the map of the Aegean Sea, standing on the deck of the Celestial Thunder, looking out at the vast sea and the flock of albatrosses.

At this moment, even Xue Dili felt surges of heroic passion rising from his heart.

The heroes behind him all left their illustrious names in future epics, but at this moment, he was the captain of Celestial Thunder and would lead these heroes to Mount Olympus to establish a monumental feat.

He extended his hand, pointing to the Aegean Sea, to Olympus, saying: "In this sea, how many heroes and champions have been buried over thousands of years? But how many are sung of in epics?"

"But we shall be remembered, our names forever imprinted on this Aegean Sea."

"Roar!" The heroes' roars echoed through the sky; being remembered in history was the greatest pursuit of these heroes, and the ultimate goal for most of them coming here.

"Our deeds shall be recorded, our names chanted." Xue Dili stood at the bow, waving his hand and saying, "Celestial Thunder, set sail!"

"Buzz!"

The sails raised, and the anchor lifted.

In July 1208 BC, this large ship named Celestial Thunder carrying a total of 31 heroes and dozens of accompanying sailors thus set sail.

At that moment, the entire Celestial Thunder emanated a light like the sun, and the people at the port of Troy bowed down in worship.

"It's the blessing of the Celestial God Apollo, the blessing bestowed on Celestial Thunder!" a priest shouted from the crowd.

Troy, being a city-state that worshiped Apollo, was thus so thrilled.

"Wishing you all to achieve monumental feats." The priest also uttered her blessing.

"Wishing you all to achieve monumental feats!"

And so, the Celestial Thunder sailing towards the Aegean Sea disappeared over the horizon in the eyes of all of Troy, amidst the expectations of numerous princesses and the King.

Except among the crowds, only Cassandra, the "prophetic witch," hugging her doll, cried in the corner, contrasting sharply with the bustling Troy.

Because only she saw that future, saw Xue Dili, saw the future of the entire Celestial Thunder.

"Celestial Thunder, all 32 heroes, sank into the Aegean Sea..."

"Not a single one returned..."

The future she saw was so tragic.

And finally, Xue Dili standing amidst the wreckage of Celestial Thunder, throwing a desperate fatal strike at Zeus.

"May your spirits return home..." Cassandra, the prophetic witch, could only give her only blessing while looking in the direction where Celestial Thunder departed.
