Longevity Begins with the Seven Injuries Fist

Chapter 41: The Cave Exposed!

The White Lotus Sect member known as "Old Liu," who sports a handlebar moustache, though a "One Blood Refining Skin" Martial Artist, hasn't yet hardened his skin sufficiently.

The Beast Trap that injured him was purchased by Su Que at a great expense, made of iron rather than wood, extremely hard and sharp.

After Old Liu was caught, blood gushed from his wound like a fountain, and the Golden Wound Medicine he had just applied was soon washed away by the blood.

Thus, he could only tear a piece of clothing, tightly bind his own thigh, slow the flow of blood, and then reapply the Golden Wound Medicine.

"Old Gao, please wait!" he called out to his companion, only limping toward the depths of the cave after dressing his wound.

Soon, a few large red wooden chests and some other items came into view.

"This is probably the treasure trove of that mysterious martial artist!"

Old Gao, with a face full of rugged whiskers, spoke with excitement. Their leader, Bai Wuji, had issued a decree a few days ago, promising great rewards for any clues leading to the mysterious warrior.

Now, they had even found this mysterious martial artist's hideout, a reward was imminent, likely bringing them a period of luxurious living.

"Old Gao, go explore the mysterious martial artist's belongings, see what's inside?"

Old Gao responded and began to rummage through Su Que's belongings, one item at a time.

Old Liu, limping, also went up to the pile of items.

"Masks, clothes, lime..."

"It's unexpected that someone with such high skills still resorts to using lime tricks!"

"Damn, since my debut in Jianghu, I've never used lime!"

Old Liu mumbled while watching Old Gao search through the items.

"Damn you, Old Gao, search faster, see if there's any Silver Coins!"

Old Liu directed Old Gao, continuing:

"Previously, when I handled those corpses, I found that all their Silver Coins were missing, most likely stolen by that mysterious martial artist!"

"Search thoroughly, once we get the valuables, let's swiftly return to report, if that mysterious warrior returns, we are dead!"

Shortly after Old Liu spoke.

Old Gao exclaimed, "Old Liu, damn it, you were right, there really is!" He extracted silver bars and several Silver Yuanbao, as well as more than ten silver notes from the items.

Their eyes immediately gleamed, and they quickly divided the Silver Coins among themselves.

The silver notes were folded neatly, tucked within their garments.

As for the silver bars and Silver Yuanbao, they took some cloth Su Que used to wipe sweat from his pile of items, wrapped them, and carried them in hand.

"Let's go, go, go, Old Gao, we need to leave quickly!"

Old Liu urged anxiously, limping, fearing that if they delayed, they would encounter the "mysterious warrior".

"Hold on, Old Liu!" Old Gao suddenly said.

"What's wrong?" Old Liu slowed down slightly.

Old Gao glanced at those red wooden boxes, "Old Liu, why don't we select some valuable herbs, find a place to hide them, and retrieve them later to sell?"

"After all, apart from us, no one knows how much of that mysterious warrior's herbs remain."

"Damn you, Old Gao, you're wicked smart!" Old Liu praised, then added:

"Hurry, get some cloth out, wrap up the herbs, let's move quickly!"

So, they took some cloth from Su Que's pile, opened the red wooden boxes, and wrapped expensive herbs such as ginseng and reishi.

Shortly after, they secured the cloth, slung them over their shoulders, and exited the cave.

"Hey, Old Gao, holding these things, it's hard to hide elsewhere. If hidden in Jade Water City, and discovered, wouldn't we be considered accomplices of the 'mysterious warrior'?"

As they walked, Old Liu suddenly said:

"Why don't we find a place nearby, dig a pit, bury these items temporarily, and retrieve them after the 'mysterious warrior' has been dead for a while."

"Alright, let's do that!"

Old Gao agreed heartily, and they went towards another direction, reaching another patch of woods.

Each pulled out their blood-stained Thick-Backed Sabers, digging into the ground.

Old Liu, while digging, said, "Old Gao, how do you plan to use the silver notes in our pockets?"

Old Gao chuckled wickedly, "Tonight, I plan to buy some potions at Huichun Hall in Jade Water City, then head to Spring Pavilion in Black Water City, and call five girls over."

As Jade Water City is already under their White Lotus Sect control, most brothels are managed by their sect.

If they spend lavishly, they would likely be discovered quickly, leading to questioning of the source of their Silver Coins.

Black Water City lies west of Jade Water City, slightly less prosperous and currently not under the White Lotus Sect's intentions for control.

After hearing this, Old Liu laughed heartily, "Old Gao, you're pathetic, I don't need potions, I'll head straight to Spring Pavilion in Black Water City and call ten girls!"

...

Su Que left the city, and after ensuring there was no one around, sprinted towards Cyan Flower Mountain.

Upon nearing a forest close to Cyan Flower Mountain, he heard faint, rhythmic sounds of metal scraping against mud stone coming from deep within the woods.

'What's going on? Could it be someone's killing and burying a corpse? Or perhaps someone hiding treasure?'

Su Que furrowed his brows slightly, deciding to investigate, immediately lightening his footsteps and quietly approaching.

Shortly after, he saw two bizarrely grimacing men with wicked chuckles, using two Thick-Backed Sabers to dig into the ground.

On the ground lay two large and two small bundles, causing Su Que's heart to settle.

The cloth of these bundles looked very familiar... Damn, isn't this the cloth he bought in Jade Water City...

Su Que's eyes shifted, fixing on one man's lower leg.

The wound on this man's lower leg seemed inflicted by a Beast Trap.

By then, Su Que was almost certain that these two men had definitely been in his cave.

He then began approaching the two men.

...

"Hey ho, hey ho..."

The two, fearing their hidden goods would be discovered, dug the pit deeply, eventually feeling fatigued from the prolonged effort.

Suddenly, Old Liu scratched his handlebar moustache, his body shivering unexpectedly.

His peripheral vision noticed someone was coming toward them.

Quickly turning his head, he was surprised to see a scholar.

"Damn, how could a scholar pass by this place?" Old Liu murmured.

Old Gao froze, glancing in the direction Old Liu was looking, also noticing the approaching scholar.

Old Liu said, "This scholar is unlucky, coming by at the worst time, he saw what we were doing, although he doesn't know what we're doing, the fear is that he'll spread this news!"

"If it reaches the ears of other White Lotus Sect members, we're finished!"

"Old Gao, let's kill him."

"Alright."

Old Gao immediately stopped digging, raising the Thick-Backed Saber, having killed before without any burden.

Soon, both White Lotus Sect members raised their blood-stained Thick-Backed Sabers, holding them in both hands, exerted their feet forcefully, charging at Su Que.

To prevent Su Que from escaping, they advanced left and right, encircling him.

Once close, they raised their Thick-Backed Sabers high and slashed down at Su Que.

The Thick-Backed Sabers cut through the air, emitting a whooshing sound.

Su Que merely extended his right hand, gently punching the air, two weak bursts of Seven Injuries Fist Force erupted.

Suddenly.

A "boom" "boom" sound rang out twice successively.

The two were struck by the Seven Injuries Fist Force, a depression appearing on their chest clothing, their forward momentum suddenly halted, their bodies were swiftly hurled backward.

The two flew a full two zhang, before landing heavily on the ground, each leaving behind a plowed furrow over one zhang long before coming to a stop.
