Legendary Awakening: Harem System In The Post-Apocalyptic World

Chapter 66: Healed

Ha! Ha! Huff!

After the pain disappeared, his mind slowly cleared and he regained control of his body and began gasping for breath.

"Ha! Damn, it was… terrifying." He muttered, and when he recalled the hellish experience, he felt his heart palpitate.

After a while, when his breathing became normal and the redness from his skin began to recede, he rolled on his back and slowly raised one hand in front of him.

'Oh?'

Immediately, he became pleasantly surprised because the pain he felt was a fraction compared to before.

To confirm this was really the case, he raised the other hand and did not feel much. So, he went a step further and began twisting his wrists, clenching his fists, flexing his elbows and rolling his shoulders.

Even then, he didn't feel much pain which made him nod in satisfaction and mutter, "That suffering was worth it."

His thoughts then went to the [Abyssal Leech's Tear].

'If I had bought the Healing Potion instead, while I might have not felt any, or maybe just a little pain, I probably would have needed dozens of them to achieve this level of healing.' He thought.

If he wasn't wrong, the only reason the [Abyssal Leech's Tear] was worth only 15 Harem Points was due to its side effect of causing way too much pain, otherwise its price probably easily could have been over a hundred harem points if not more.

A short while later, he pushed himself to sit up and then slowly stood up on his only uninjured leg. Then, he placed the injured one on the ground and began to put pressure on it very slowly.

The result was the same as when he checked his hands—his leg had also recovered significantly.

And while he was now perfectly able to have sex, he decided to go all the way and heal completely.

Just now, the blowjob and him cumming inside her mouth had increased his Harem Points by 15 (5+10) which he used up and bought another drop of [Abyssal Leech's Tear].

Then, he lay flat on the ground and took it.

Just like earlier, the drop dissolved the moment it touched his tongue and a numbing sensation spread throughout his body, also clouding his mind.

At this moment, he realised that while he had lost control over his body, his senses, especially his sense of touch and feeling, seemed to have been pushed to the limit.

He could feel bandages wrapping around his hands and leg, he could feel, extremely clearly, the cold floor he was lying on and even his clothes on his skin.

'No wonder the pain was so intense.' He thought, his expression darkening. Then he became surprised because he realised that unlike before, he was capable of thought this time.

Before he could think why this was, his pain receptacles were lit on fire and an intense pain made his body twitch and write.

'Hm?' While enduring the pain, he became surprised because while the pain was still strong enough to push a grown man into madness, it was nowhere comparable to what he suffered earlier.

'So, the pain depends upon the extent of my injuries?' He thought and decided, unless it was to heal from some less serious injuries, he would not use the Tear. And to do this, he had to make sure he always had enough Harem Points to buy better healing items at all times…

'Better yet, I'll just buy them in advance.' He decided.

After a minute or so, the pain vanished and he sat up, stretching his hands and leg to check his condition.

The result made him nod in satisfaction. He had almost healed completely. Even if he had to fight someone, he could do so without any worry.

Vivian was sitting on the sofa, her ears perked up as she stared at the washroom's door.

If she heard even the faintest sound of pain, she would barge in despite him clearly saying not to—she would rather have him punish her if the other choice was to watch him suffer.

However, even after half an hour had passed, apart from the first noise of something falling, she heard no sound.

Suddenly, her eyes widened, 'Don't tell me he didn't accidentally knock something down but fell himself and got unconscious?'

She hadn't given it much thought before because the thudding sound wasn't followed by any pained grunt, so she had thought he had accidentally knocked down something.

Swoosh!

Shua!

Just as she jumped to her feet, the washroom's door opened and Max walked out.

Immediately, she rushed over to him and looked him up and down. After seeing he was fine and didn't even have his bandages…

'Wait!' She looked at his hands and right leg. Seeing the bandages were indeed gone, she angrily asked, "Why did you take off your bandages?! Don't you know it will exacerbate your injuries? Just what were you think---"

Max smiled, reached out, grabbed the back of her neck and pulled her to him before smashing her lips onto hers.

To his surprise, however, she resisted and pushed him back, glaring at him, "What do you think you are doing? Do you really think I will let it slide even if you do something stupid as long as you kiss me?"

Max stared at her blankly, not knowing how to respond to her outburst.

After a while, he smiled and unbuttoned his shirt before taking it off and showing his hands to her.

"I took them off because I no longer needed them. So, don't worry, alright?"

Vivian stared at his hands, her brows furrowed.

His hands looked… normal?

"How?" She looked at him in confusion, "Were your hands not so injured that you weren't even able to move them properly?"

"They were." Max nodded before waving his hand and causing a piece of [Nutritious Bread] to appear in the air in front of Vivian, which he then caught. He then waved his hand again and stored it away before saying, "I healed them."

Vivian's eyes bulged in disbelief as she stared at his now empty hand, and her lips trembled and voice broke as she asked, "T-This… How?"

"Come here, I'll tell you." Max grabbed her hand and pulled her over to the sofa.

Making her sit on his lap, he began to caress her thigh slowly as he said, "As I told you earlier, Martial Artists do exist and some can even do supernatural stuff. You can say, I'm one of them."

"Is that... right?" Vivian stared at him in astonishment. Then, warmth spread in her heart and a sweet, touched smile appeared on her face.

"Thank you for sharing your secret with me."

Max pecked her lips, feeling good to see her looking with that gaze.

"No problem." He said and added, "Moreover, there is something else I want to tell you."

"What is it?" Vivian asked, paying him her utmost attention, having already forgotten asking the question that had appeared in her mind earlier—did he have a healing superpower?

"Let me first tell you that no matter what happens, I promise I'll keep you safe, alright?" Max said so she wouldn't get worried after he broke the news to her.

Vivian's expression became serious as she nodded, "I understand."

"Good, so the thing is..." Max began speaking and Vivian's eyes gradually widened and her heart began pounding in... worry and excitement.
