How to Bring Common Sense to Xianxia World

Chapter 92: Arrived at the Martial Exchange Grand Stage

Yun Feng looked left and right as he stood near Wei Chen. He tried to contact his master, but his master did not respond at all. He attempted to use the link that connected him with his master to see what was wrong, but his master seemed to be in a state of contemplation.

Or perhaps his master was cultivating his mind or something similar. Other than sensing that his master was safe and sound, Yun Feng received no response at all.

Since his master appeared to be in the middle of cultivation, Yun Feng decided to leave him alone.

Still, he was curious about why his master, who loved making snarky comments and talking down on the sword cultivators of this era, had suddenly grown quiet.

And it happened to be when Brother Wei was nearby.

With this thought in mind, Yun Feng looked at Wei Chen, who was scrolling through comments on his U-Phone. Wei Chen snickered and chuckled from time to time as he read the comments on the forum within the Spirit Net.

"Brother Wei, what are you doing?" Yun Feng asked as he stole a glance at the phone screen in Wei Chen's hand.

"Oh? Nothing much, just checking the forum," Wei Chen said.

"Forum? What's that?" Yun Feng asked in confusion.

Wei Chen looked at Yun Feng, then handed his phone to him and explained the Spirit Net and what a forum was.

Yun Feng, who had never known about any of this, quickly became interested in this new concept of the Spirit Net and forums. He used Wei Chen's U-Phone to scroll through various forums and was amazed. There were many things he had never known before.

This forum felt like a world of its own, where people shared stories and even shared their insights on cultivation for free.

Even though Yun Feng knew that these freely shared cultivation insights on the Spirit Net were mostly low grade and full of flaws, he still gained many ideas. Some of them even surprisingly helped him form new insights of his own.

"This…" Yun Feng uttered in amazement as he entered one of the posts he saw.

'8 Tips to Get a Saintess to Dual Cultivate with You!'

Yun Feng immediately entered the post and read through it, but in the end, he was disappointed.

The tips were completely useless. For example, the first one said that you needed to be at least in the Soul Transformation Realm. The second said that you needed to have unparalleled talent.

Wasn't that just common sense? These tips were utterly useless.

After that, Yun Feng found a few more interesting forums, but the post that interested him the most was titled:

'Endowed chests are better than flat chests. Prove me wrong!'

This post seems to be triggered Yun Feng so much that he ended up hogging the U-Phone to himself.

Wei Chen wanted to take the U-Phone back, but seeing how immersed Yun Feng was, constantly replying to people on the forum, he stopped himself. It looked like Yun Feng was engaged in a kind of a keyboard war, as he gritted his teeth in frustration while sending his replies.

Wei Chen decided to let it be, especially since he could already see the Martial Exchange Grand Stage on the horizon.

While Yun Feng was still glued to the screen, scrolling through the forums and reading post after post, the flying ark finally arrived at the Martial Exchange Grand Stage.

At the Martial Exchange Grand Stage, there were many flying arks floating near the docks, with some parked at the personal docks that the venue had prepared. Many large sects were present, including the Heavenly Sword Sect and the Sacred Fire Valley. Among them, he even saw a flying ark belonging to the Azure Sky Conglomerate.

The Ethereal Frost Palace flying ark docked at the sect dock that the Martial Exchange Grand Stage staff had prepared for them.

The docks that the venue had prepared were clearly divided by provinces. The Heavenly Sword Sect and the Azure Sky Conglomerate were on one side, while the Sacred Fire Valley and other sects that Wei Chen was not familiar with were on the other side.

After the flying ark was parked at the dock, Saintess Han Xiyue came over to Wei Chen and Yun Feng, who was still glued to the phone.

"We have arrived, Daoist Friend Wei. The Martial Exchange will officially start tomorrow. Today is still the registration phase. Are you interested in registering for the rogue cultivator quota?" she asked.

"Can you explain it to me? This is the first time I have come to the Martial Exchange, you can think of me as a blank slate on this," Wei Chen said.

"I see…" The saintess nodded and began to explain.

From what the saintess explained, this Martial Exchange is a single elimination tournament with sixteen candidates. The tournament will last one week. The first day is for registration, specifically for rogue cultivators who want to participate. Each province has two reserved spots for rogue cultivators.

On the second day, there will be qualification rounds for each province. All registered rogue cultivators will be divided into two groups and placed into separate battle royales. From each group, the last person standing will advance, resulting in two qualified participants per province. The same process applies to every other province.

Then, on the third day, the Martial Exchange will officially begin, with all kinds of guests arriving to watch the tournament.

"The registration for rogue cultivators is limited to those under fifty years old. The purpose is to find geniuses from each province so that the sects participating in the Martial Exchange can scout talent. From my perception, Daoist Friend Wei, you should not be over fifty years old yet. Are you interested in registering? I believe that if it were you, you would surely bring glory to the Azure River Province," the saintess asked, with a hint of temptation in her voice.

Wei Chen replied with a smile, "It is very tempting, but no, thank you. My goal here is to observe and broadcast, not to join in on the fun."

"Too bad…" the saintess let out a disappointed sigh, then turned toward Yun Feng. "What about this little brother? Will you join?"

Yun Feng did not reply. He was still immersed in a war of words on the Spirit Net forum, his face red as if he had just lost an argument, yet he showed no sign of giving up.

Wei Chen watched for a brief moment before nudging Yun Feng.

"Oi, snap out of it, will you?"

"What?" Yun Feng snapped back.

Slap!

Faster than Yun Feng could react, his head was slapped. The sharp sound reverberated through the area as the saintess looked at Yun Feng with pity in her eyes.

With that slap, Yun Feng immediately calmed down. He clutched his head, the spot that had just been hit stinging as his thoughts cleared.

"What is wrong with you, man? You look like you just lost an argument with a monkey," Wei Chen asked.

"Er…" Yun Feng collected himself before cupping his fist in apology. "My apologies, Brother Wei. I lost myself for a moment."

"Let me see what the fuss is about." Wei Chen frowned and took his U Phone back from Yun Feng's hand. Yun Feng made a reluctant expression, as if he still wanted it back and had not finished yet.

Wei Chen then read the comments in the current post titled, 'Endowed chests are better than flat chests. Prove me wrong!'

Edgelord: [What do you know!? The bigger they are, the greater the disappointment when they grow old! Smaller is better, because when they grow old, the disappointment will not be as great.]

Lust Demon: [We are talking about cultivators here, brat. Even after more than two hundred years, the shape and the touch will still be preserved like the day they became a maiden. Do not use mortal standards with us, you brat! Besides, flat is not good. When it comes to feeding their children, the child might get confused about whether it comes from the mother or the father. WAHAHAHAHA!]

Edgelord: [You uncultured fool!]

Lust Demon: [Ha! You brat who does not know the immensity of heaven and earth! It is not about looking new or fresh, boy. The best quality comes from the touch, the reaction, and the jiggle!]

Lust Demon: [What!? Why so silent? You cannot come up with anything else, brat!?]

After reading this, Wei Chen looked at Yun Feng with pity.

"Seriously, you argued with this idiot over boobs size?"

Yun Feng's face turned embarrassed. He felt a bit guilty for using the communication artifact like this, but his eyes betrayed his urge. They kept drifting toward the U Phone in Wei Chen's hand, as if he wanted to continue reading.

"Ahem… gentlemen." The saintess gave a fake cough to draw the two perverts' attention, making it clear that she was still standing right there.
