I'm Trying To Go Broke, So Why Do I Keep Getting Richer?!

Chapter 112: Calling Forth Necropolis Envoy

The young prince looked back, recognising Leo's voice.

Initially, there was a pleasant surprise in his eyes. Even though he knew that Leo was at the auction because of his sudden entrance, he didn't expect to come across him while attempting an escape.

The pleasant expression on his face soon changed as he remembered that he was using a disguise which was different from what he used on earth. Could he really give away his identity?

"Oh wait, I mean who are you, stranger? Have we met before?" He innocently asked, as if Leo was genuinely mistaken about his identity.

Leo raised a brow, glancing past Kaelus. His eyes landed on Reven who was still hanging by the barrier that was trying to close itself, but was unable to cut through his powerful bones.

His gaze then shifted to Timmy, before returning to Kaelus. His eyes looked incredulous, as if he was genuinely asking, 'Are you being serious right now?'

Timmy had no disguise. As for Reven, he was using the same disguise as before. Only Kaelus looked different, but then again, his voice was still the same, as he hadn't modified it.

'This child, seriously... He has the survival instincts of a cucumber. If he wasn't strong, I wonder how big of a mess he would've been by now.'

Leo shook his head, and stepped closer to Kaelus, asking, "Shouldn't you try to disguise your voice along with your face?"

For a moment, Leo had thought about pretending to be ignorant, and let them play around. But then, he gave up the idea, realising that this was how he lost Kaelus in the first place.

If he lost this brat again, could he be lucky enough to find him next time? This time, he just wanted to bring this brat back to his father, and just finish this job, building a greater connection with Voldred.

"My voice?" Kaelus mumbled, before realising what he had done. "Urghhh! I'm an idiot!"

He turned back to Reven, and asked, "Why didn't you remind me that I had to disguise my voice as well?"

"Umm? Your Highness, can you at least free me first before scolding me? It feels really weird." Reven answered, as he started struggling to make his body pass through the barrier.

"Tch, fine. Let me deal with you first." Kaelus returned to Reven, and tried to push his body out, which was barely working.

In the back, Leo watched the bizarre scene awkwardly. Was this really their genius plan to escape?

He ignored Kaelus, and walked over to Timmy, reaching out his hand towards the young man who was sitting on the ground.

"Are you alright?" he asked.

Timmy extended his hand, and grabbed Leo's hand.

Leo pulled the young man up. "Looks like you've been on quite a few adventures already?'

"Adventures? You mean nightmares?" Timmy mumbled, shaking his head as he didn't even want to remember the things that he went through.

At times, he literally had to wear a fake wig and pretend to be a woman to pass through security points across various stations while being with Kaelus.

He could still feel the taste of lipstick on his lips, remembering the most embarrassing moment of his life. He quickly shook his head, trying to erase that memory.

"You shouldn't be with us right now. We are already screwed. You shouldn't be seen with us, or you'll also get dragged into this mess," Timmy suggested

"By mess, do you mean you three trying to run away after making a bid that you can't honor?" Leo asked, already guessing most of the situation from their actions.

These idiots had truly messed around when they couldn't afford to. But still, he couldn't let them suffer.

'Should I inform Necropolis, letting them pick up their troublemakers?' He thought, before shaking his mind. 'Or should I deal with it myself?'

Leo shook his head, as he stepped back.

"You all stay here," he raised his voice, telling Kaelus who was already a little distracted. "I will discuss with the auction house to see if we can come to an understanding.'

He then turned to Timmy and said, "Keep an eye on them. And carry this. With this, I should be able to find you even if you're lost."

He tossed a spare device to Timmy, before turning around. Leaving the two from Necropolis messing around, he walked away.

"Leo, can you give me a hand?" After a few minutes, Kaelus looked back, only to find that Leo was nowhere to be found.

Leo went back through the way he had arrived, but this time, he didn't return to the auction house.

After all, as per the auction house policy, making false bids was a crime. Even if he was the seller and his friends were making a bid, it would still be a crime which would drag him down as well.

To the auction house, it would look no different than him using his Friends to artificially manipulate the bidding price, resulting in this mess.

As Leo Vanderlen, he couldn't handle this mess. The only other way was for Kaelus to come forward with his identity as someone from Necropolis, and ask his family to pay.

Unfortunately, that was precisely what Leo didn't want. At any cost, he couldn't let Kaelus expose his identity, especially when the special guests from other houses were here.

He didn't know what kind of unfortunate variables that could create. Although it was a mess, the only way to solve it without Kaelus exposing his identity, was for him to expose his... Or rather, expose the other identity of his.

After getting far away from the three stooges, Leo looked at the sky, through the barrier in the garden.

"Fucking hell, Necropolis better reward me enough for this later." Leo took a deep breath, realising that it was again time for him to muddy the waters.

Meanwhile, a girl was still silently keeping an eye on Leo, maintaining more than a hundred meters of distance from him.

Her eyes had already seen Kaelus, Reven and Timmy. And even though Kaelus was using a disguise, his aura was clearly distinct that she couldn't forget, especially when he was trying to use his bloodline strength.

"I was right! This man did have a connection to Necropolis! And with the pure disgusting aura that I feel from that man, he must be a pureblood of Necropolis!"

Lyra's lips crept up into a smile as she managed to find a convincing way to prove that she was right.

She quickly turned around, and her figure disappeared into the distance as she rushed back to her mother to bring her here. Unfortunately, she didn't just plan to bring her mother here, but Nephilm Monarch as well.

Meanwhile, Leo raised his hand towards the Sky, in direction of the Necropolis Ship.
