Kobold Delivery System: The Goddesses Won't Leave me Alone!

Chapter 36: Home

"On our wedding night!" shouted Sarah, her cheeks bright red, and she quickly hid her face with her hand, trying not to show how flustered she was.

Her fingers parted slightly, giving a little sneak peek at me to gauge my reaction.

She couldn't help but be curious, and I could see the playful tension in her eyes.

I leaned back a little, letting a small smile form on my lips. "If that's what you want, then I accept," I said calmly, letting her feel that I wasn't embarrassed at all.

Just at that moment, both Tiamat and Kalia walked out of the kitchen carrying dishes piled high with cooked meat and sausages.

The smell immediately hit the room, rich and savory, making our mouths watery.

"That's smelly good, Kalia," I said, raising an eyebrow as I looked at her.

She turned to me with a smile that was playful and slightly teasing. "Of course," she said, her voice smooth.

"A big boy like you needs meat to have energy for…well our "activities".

Everyone immediately began digging into their dishes.

Tiamat stood close by, like a loyal maid, standing beside my chair with her hands neatly on her lap, watching to see if everything was all right.

She never interrupted, never fussed, just there, steady and attentive, that slave crest worked like magic.

Well it was literally magic soo…

I picked up my glass of juice and took a sip, scanning the room casually.

That's when I noticed Bella. For some reason, she wasn't touching the meat. She just sat there, looking at her plate without a word.

I frowned a little. "Why don't you eat your breakfast?" I asked, genuinely curious.

Bella looked up at me, a wry smile tugging her lips. "The truth is… I don't like it," she said simply. Her tone wasn't confrontational; it was just matter-of-fact.

I paused for a moment, looking at her and then nodding. "Okay," I said finally.

"Tiamat, go prepare a salad for Bella." I gave her a side glance, and she nodded quickly, understanding immediately.

Without hesitation, she turned and hurried back into the kitchen to make something suitable.

Then the silence lingered for a few seconds, broken by Lila, who leaned slightly forward and asked.

"So, how much time are you planning to spend here? I would welcome you and your group to stay as long as you want."

Her tone was light, but I could sense a bit of hope in her voice.

I shook my head firmly. "Sorry, but our delivery is done here. I'll have to return to the Kobold tribe and try to fix things there."

Her smile faltered just a little, and I noticed her shoulders slump slightly. "Too bad," she said softly, a tinge of sadness in her voice.

"I thought… I was finally going to have friends"

Sarah, ever energetic, clapped her hands and turned to Lila. "How about coming with us, Lila? You can help us rebuild the tribe!"

Her enthusiasm was infectious, and it made the room feel warmer instantly.

Lila's eyes widened in surprise, and then she smiled brightly, the kind of smile that seemed to glow.

"Really? Thank you!" She turned to me afterward, a spark of curiosity in her gaze. "So… you are the chief of the Kobold tribe?"

Aria cleared her throat politely, joining in. "Correction," she said, giving a little nod. "Chief of both the Goblin and Kobold tribes."

Lila laughed, a light, carefree sound that filled the room. "Of course you are," she said, shaking her head slightly.

"As expected from my savior." Her tone was playful but sincere, and for a moment, the tension in the room melted away into shared warmth.

We all returned our attention to finishing the meal. The conversation was light, punctuated by the occasional laugh or playful comment.

Once everyone had eaten enough to feel satisfied, we began preparing the carriage for our journey back to the Kobold tribe.

Filling the carriage with all the necessities took a little time, but we worked efficiently.

Bags were packed, supplies double-checked, and everyone moved with purpose.

Lila took the responsibility of locking up the castle, making sure nothing was left behind.

Once that was done, she joined us at the carriage, ready for the journey ahead.

Tiamat climbed in and took the reins, her hands steady as she readied the carriage.

The horses shifted slightly, sensing movement, and she gave a soft command.

They responded immediately, and the carriage began to move smoothly down the path.

Lila glanced around at all of us, her expression a mix of excitement and curiosity. "I can't believe this," she said softly, almost to herself.

"We will go on an adventure! Think of all the monster meat we're gonna eat on the way!"

Aria smiled wryly at her, "we are going back home, and after such a heavy breakfast, I don't see a reason for us to stop"

"But I'm still hungry~" said Lila rubbing her belly, dragons had different metabolism from other races.

The banter between Lila and Aria went for free time back and forth.

The ride was quiet for a moment, just the sound of the carriage wheels on the road and the horses' steady pace.

Then Sarah, never one to keep quiet for long, leaned forward and said, "So… what are we going to do first when we get back? Rebuilding the tribe or just resting?"

I thought for a moment, weighing the options. "We'll do both," I said finally.

"We rest enough to have energy, and then we start rebuilding. It's going to be a long process, but we can manage it together."

Aria nodded approvingly. "It's good idea, but we shouldn't forget rebuilding the goblin tribe too"

Kalia leaned back, smirking slightly. "And we should hold our weddings there too~"

Elaris also chipped in, "I have so many ideas for designs, leave it to me!"

Then slowly, everyone went to sleep, after all it was a long ride.

And by the time the carriage started to approach the edge of the Kobold lands, I heard Tiamat's voice from the front.

"Master, please wake up, we are nearing the tribe"

Opening my eyes I slowly shook my harem members shoulders, Elaris was the first to wake up.
