The goblins were at it again.

I sat by the campfire beside Aria, watching the goblins dance around the fire while they pounded on their drums.

Those drums were so old and worn-out, I almost mistook them for basins.

Aria leaned over me, resting her head on my shoulder as we watched the tribal dance.

With a simple movement, her hair slid down onto my arm. She looked up at me.

"Thank you, Ragnar, for everything you've done so far," she said sincerely.

"If you hadn't come to us, we would have been forced to leave, or worse, become the orcs' slaves.

And with how things are in this forest, we could've easily died."

She paused, looking up at me again. "Would you be… moved if you heard I was lost?"

I met her gaze. "Logically, I'd say no. But lately… I've come to really enjoy your company. If that happened, I would spend my whole life looking for you"

She stared at me for a second. Then she burst out crying, crystal tears falling from her eyes as she looked at me.

"How can I resist such a line, take responsibility for me now, Ragnar," she said, her voice hitching.

Then as if she had an idea, she wiped her tears and said, "Well, Ragnar… I'm sorry to inform you of this, but we only have one room available, that is my room"

I tilted my head. "Huh?"

"We'll be sleeping together in my room. Don't worry, it's for your protection. Who knows, maybe some goblin is planning to kill you in your sleep." She said, honestly, even she didn't sound convinced by her own excuse.

Before I could respond, she teased again, "I'm going to sleep first. If you get tired of staring at the stars, come join me in the same bed."

With that, she turned and walked away, her hips swaying more than necessary.

I looked at her. She was definitely preparing something.

But soon I shook my head and stared at the starry sky. The night was cold and clear, I could see every star clearly.

And somewhere out there was Earth. Well… not exactly one of the shining spots, since Earth wasn't a star.

I chuckled. People back there were probably still doing their jobs like usual.

Standing up, I muttered, "Time to sleep," and walked to Aria's hut.

When I pushed open the door, I found her already asleep. Under the dim light, I could see she wasn't wearing her armor instead. She only wore what she called "pajamas,"

Which was basically a tiny rag barely covering her body.

It was even shorter than her fighting skirt, leaving her smooth, plump legs exposed.

Her top was loose, showing her huge breasts spilling out.

She looked defenceless while sleeping.

I climbed onto the bed and lay beside her.

The mattress was soft, and I slept on my side looking at her. Her chest kept rising and falling gently as she slept, making cute noises.

I tried to keep some distance, but then something soft pressed against me.

I opened my eyes and looked down, only to find her plump thigh wrapping around my leg, with her arm wrapped around my torso like a koala.

I cursed under my breath, fighting off the evil thoughts.

My evolution has made my body more sensitive to touches. And with my recent feelings for her, I was starting to think… I might actually have fallen in love.

Right now, her scent was brushing my face, sweet, with a hint of sweat from this morning's battle, which made my dick harder.

"You look too cute," I murmured, looking at her.

I mentally slapped myself. "Hold it, Ragnar. She trusts you. Don't screw this up." I murmured, then closing my eyes, I drifted into sleep.

After some time of my sleeping, Aria opened her eyes, looking at my face and poking my cheek affectionately.

"Looks like I shouldn't hesitate about my decision," then she leaned down, closer to me, and kissed my cheek.

In a slow and warm way, her breath brushed my ear as she whispered, "I love you."

I couldn't hold it in anymore. My eyes snapped, open looking at her.

Her eyes widened, "Wait, you were awake?" she said shyly, pressing her fingers together

"Yes, and if that's how you truly feel… then you deserve my answer." I said confidently, pulling her into a hug.

She looked up at me, her eyes closed.

Kissing her, I whispered "I love you too." my hand cupping her cheek.
