Kobold Delivery System: The Goddesses Won't Leave me Alone!

Chapter 55: Information

My mind pulled to an empty white space.

At first, it was blinding, nothingness stretching infinitely in every direction.

An endless void of pure white.

Then she appeared. She stood there, framed against the emptiness.

A woman who looked exactly like Leviathan, but not as I had known her.

She wore flowing white divine clothing, delicate and radiant.

It caught the light of the void like it belonged to another realm entirely.

Her eyes, sharp and commanding in Leviathan's usual form, now held an almost fragile urgency.

There was none of that sinister aura I had grown to fear.

Instead, there was an air of desperate grace, a beauty tinged with urgency and sorrow.

Her hair cascaded around her shoulders, the same dark waves as Leviathan.

But... somehow softer, almost lighter in tone.

She moved with the same elegance that Leviathan had.

However, each movement was weighed down by a burden I could sense.

Her limbs creaked slightly, as if the very essence of her being was unraveling.

Her divine attire clung to her but fluttered like wings of a dying bird.

Every step, every movement seemed laborious, as though time itself was against her.

Her gaze locked onto mine, piercing through the emptiness.

There was a hurried panic in her eyes.

She reached out, grabbing my arms with a grip that was firm yet trembling.

Her voice, soft and almost breaking, whispered directly into my mind.

"Hurry… I don't have time," she said.

There was an edge to her voice.

A sharp, fleeting urgency that sent shivers down my spine.

"Take my remaining power… to subdue her.

And… in any case… NEVER GIVE HER THE JEWEL… or the world is doomed."

The words hung in the air like a warning carved in stone.

My heart thudded wildly. I could feel the weight of her plea pressing down on me.

There was no room for hesitation, no time for questions.

The jewel, the object I held so tightly, was more than just a fragment of power.

It was the fulcrum upon which the fate of the world balanced.

And if it slipped into the wrong hands, all would crumble.

Her eyes, full of desperation, locked with mine.

I could clearly feel the gravity of her warning deep in my chest.

Every fiber of her being screamed urgency:

Do not fail.

Do not let it fall into her hands.

Questions surged in my mind, a storm of doubt and confusion.

Who was she really?

How could she look like Leviathan yet not be Leviathan?

What did she mean by "remaining power"?

But before I could even begin to untangle my thoughts, she shoved me.

Not violently, not cruelly.

But... with enough force to dislodge my very being from the confines of the physical world.

I felt myself pulled forward, weightless, tumbling into an astral dimension.

A place where the laws of space and time seemed to bend around me.

It was disorienting, terrifying, and oddly exhilarating all at once.

My soul felt like it was separating from my body.

My soul kept flowing outward.

Flowing through the shimmering currents of energy.

Colors I couldn't name swirled around me.

And the world I had known.

The solid, comforting solidity of earth and sky... felt impossibly distant.

My thoughts spun uncontrollably.

Am I dreaming? Is this real?

What does she mean about the jewel? How am I supposed to act now?

The questions clawed at me even as my soul drifted further.

Which left a strange numbness in me.

Then, just as suddenly as it had begun, the sensation snapped.

My consciousness was yanked back into my body.

An electric shock that made my limbs tremble and my heart pound like a drum.

It was as if I had been shot through some invisible tunnel.

A journey across the universe in the span of heartbeats.

My eyes snapped open, and the world returned, though not as it had been.

A blue light bathed everything, flickering like a living pulse across my vision.

My fist clenched around the jewel with renewed intensity.

A surge of power coursed through me, waves of raw.

It was uncontainable energy sweeping over my body.

My muscles felt fuller, sharper, and alive in a way I had never known.

The aura of blue shimmered and twisted around me.

Responding to my thoughts, my intentions, my very heartbeat.

I didn't pause to wonder if I was ready. I didn't have the luxury of hesitation.

Leviathan stood before me.

Her dark form a stark contrast to the divine figure I had just seen.

I raised my fist, feeling the energy from the jewel fusing with me.

With the newfound power the woman had entrusted to me.

I struck her.

My fist collided with her forehead with a force that was unimaginable.

It was a strike that seemed to rip through the very air itself.

Boooooooom!!!

The sound was deafening.

A reverberation that rolled across the clouds.

It cut through the atmosphere like a cannon blast magnified a thousand times.

The ground trembled, the trees shivered.

For a moment, the world itself seemed to hold its breath.

The punch was not just physical, it carried the weight of every warning.

Every desperate plea, every ounce of power the divine woman had given me.

Leviathan's head snapped back, her body jerking violently.

As if the strike had severed her connection to reality.

Her form flew through the air like a loose puppet whose strings had been cut.

The momentum carried her far, far from where we stood.

She kept hurtling her toward the sea with a terrifying inevitability.

When she hit the water, the splash was immense, violent, and all-consuming.

Water exploded in every direction

A tidal wave erupting from the impact that forced itself upon the shore and the land beyond.

The noise of the displacement was deafening.

A mixture of water crashing and the groan of Leviathan's battered form.

She tumbled, half-submerged.

She was dragged down by the weight of her own power and the sheer force of the strike.

I didn't wait to see her struggle further.

The water roiled for what felt like an eternity, five long, suffocating minutes.

Then it finally settled back into the calm rhythm of the ocean.

Leviathan lay there, motionless, shrouded once more by the gentle embrace of the waves.

My lungs burned from holding my breath.

My body thrummed with adrenaline.

And my chest heaved with the intensity of the moment.

But there was no time to linger, no space to rest.

The woman in white had entrusted me with everything, and I couldn't falter now.

I turned to the girls, my voice cutting through the chaotic roar of the waves.

"Wear your clothes! We're leaving this place!"

I shouted, urgency threading every word.

My heart pounded as I watched them scramble.

The rhythm of the world pressing against us.

Their movements were quick, panicked, yet coordinated.

They instinctively knew that hesitation would cost us more than just time.

We were running, sprinting away from the sea.

And running away from the place of the confrontation.

Our feet kicking up sand and dirt.

We raced toward the forest that bordered the beach.

The wind whipped around us.

Carrying the briny scent of the ocean and the faint echoes of destruction.

My mind was still racing, replaying every second of the fight.

The punch, the shove, the warning.

But there was no room for fear, no room for reflection.

Survival demanded speed, demanded movement.

Branches lashed against our arms and faces as we burst into the forest.

The shadows of towering trees mingling with the lingering blue light of the jewel.

Every step was a calculated risk, every turn a dance with unseen obstacles.

The girls moved with me, their breaths ragged, their eyes wide, yet determined.

Their loyalty, their trust, hung in the air between us, fragile and precious.

We didn't speak, because words would slow us.

The urgency of our flight carried a language of its own.

And then, finally, after what felt like an eternity, we stopped.

The familiar sight of Lucy's house emerged through the trees.

A beacon of normalcy in the chaos.

A place that grounded us.

As the aftershocks of battle threatened to unmoor our minds.

We ran toward it, hearts pounding, legs trembling.

The world narrowing to the singular goal of reaching safety.

The house, with its small wooden sign and warm, inviting windows.

It seemed almost surreal after the apocalyptic energy we had just escaped.

We reached the entrance, breaths heavy and uneven.

And I paused for a heartbeat, looking at the girls.

They were still adjusting, still catching their breath.

But the relief in their eyes was unmistakable.

We had made it, at least for now.

And though the jewel still pulsed in my hand.

It reminded me of the stakes we carried.

The immediate threat of Leviathan had been quelled, and we had survived.

We moved inside the house, shutting the door against the world outside.

The familiar scents of herbs, tea, and wood filled the air.

It grounded us after the otherworldly chaos we had just escaped.

I glanced at the girls again, their faces illuminated by the soft lamplight.

And the weight of what we had just endured settled on me.

We were not safe yet, the jewel still demanded vigilance.

The warning still rang loud in my mind, but at least we were together.

At least we had each other, and at least for a moment, we could breathe.

Every sound outside the door reminded me of the vastness of what we had faced:

The roar of the sea, the echo of the punch.

And finally the distant hum of the world turning despite everything.

Yet here, in this small, contained space, there was a fragile peace.

A moment to gather our strength before the next storm inevitably came.

And though the memory of the divine woman lingered in my mind.

Her desperate eyes and urgent plea etched into my soul.

I knew that the responsibility she had placed on me was not one I could relinquish.

The jewel must never fall into the wrong hands, not ever.

The world depended on it, and on me.

We lingered briefly in the house, catching our breath.

And catching our bearings, before the reality of what we had to do next began to press in.

I have to return and clear things up, or I wouldn't finish this delivery at all.

But things first, I turned to Lucy face and said, "Do you have any information about Leviathan"

But her next words blew any hope I had.
