Tribal Sign-In: Immortal At The Start

Chapter 144: Group Leader's Brawl [2]

Rion's eyes scanned through Zoka, Drokan and Grathar for a couple of moments, and he asked, "Which one of you wants to be the next sacrifice?"

Zoka and Drokan turned their heads towards the weakest one of them and stared at Grathar.

Grathar's grip tightened around the handle of his giant hammer. He gave them a nod and began to walk towards Rion.

For Grathar, accepting your weakness wasn't something to be ashamed of, but staying weak was, and for that, he had trained rigorously for decades.

He had become one of the strongest warriors of the tribe, and he was determined to continue walking this path until he became the strongest.

But one's strength and importance didn't dismiss their misbehaviour and crimes that they had committed knowingly or not, and if no one was ready to teach them, Rion would do it by himself.

Grathar stopped a few steps away from Rion, looked at Rhaek with a disappointed daze and declared, "You were never really worthy of your rank."

Rion chuckled, crouched beside Rhaek and said while ruffling his hair, "Did you hear that? He is one of the people you were standing with." his gaze shifted towards Grathar, and he added, "That too, in pride."

Grathar ignored Rion's words and said, "Get out of here."

Rhaek, whose bones were broken because of Rion's aura, gritted his teeth and glared at Grathar as if he were looking at his worst enemy.

"YOU BASTARD!!" he spat, blood slipping down from the corners of his lips.

Grathar ignored him.

The ground shook slightly as he dropped his hammer onto the ground.

He placed his hands on the end of the handle and asked, "Where is your weapon?"

'...Where is my spear...?' Rion questioned inwardly, but outwardly he sneered, "Weapon? Why would I need that?"

"Your arrogance truly knows no bounds," Grathar stated calmly.

Rion raised a finger, shook it and said in an amused tone, "Nuh uh. I am not being arrogant, I am simply confident in myself."

Grathar smirked and commented, "Overconfident, perhaps."

Rion tilted his head and muttered, "You are strange, you know?"

"Hmm?" Grathar raised an eyebrow and asked, "What do you mean?"

Rion smiled, placed a hand on his heart and said, "You fight where you are supposed to speak, and you speak where you are supposed to fight... do you do it intentionally, or your not so overconfident self makes it easy for you to be this shameless?"

Grathar shook his head and looked at Rheak's departing back from the corner of his eye.

He moved his hand down to the handle, his aura surged outwards, and he picked up the giant hammer like picking up a twig.

He seemingly vanished from his spot as he dashed towards Rion and swung his hammer at him.

Rion pulled back his fist to punch him, but he suddenly felt as if he was being pulled toward the giant hammer.

He frowned, and instead of hitting Grathar, his fist struck the hammer.

A loud bang echoed throughout the area, and both of them were sent skidding back.

Rion looked at Grathar with curious eyes, a grin split his face, and he said, "An aura technique that pulls the opponent towards your hammer? That's something..."

Grathar grinned in return and smashed the ground with his hammer.

Fissures appeared on the ground, and rocks flew out of them.

He pulled back his giant hammer, his aura clung to the rocks, and he swung it in a wide arc.

The rocks flew toward Rion like a speeding bullet, but just as they were about to hit him, his aura flared and struck the rocks.

All of the rocks lost their movement and fell down.

Rion disappeared from his spot and appeared beside Grathar.

The air folded as he swung a punch to Grathar's side, and Grathar spun his hammer, positioning it between the two of them.

Rion's fist struck the giant hammer, and Grathar was sent skidding back a couple of steps.

Cracks appeared on the ground as Rion jumped high and launched himself at Grathar.

Grathar wrapped himself and his hammer with an aura before swinging it towards Rion, who was falling towards him with golden flames dancing on his fist.

The ground shook as Rion's fist and Grathar's hammer clashed with one another.

Cracks appeared under Grathar's feet, and one of his knees touched the ground as he tried to throw Rion off his spear.

Rion spun mid-air, golden flames erupted around his shin, and he landed a kick to Grathar's side.

Grathar's aura skin cracked within a moment, and he was sent rolling to the side.

He came to a stop after a few rolls, ash and dust fell as he looked up, and his grip tightened around his hammer.

His aura flared, he shot back to his feet and swung his hammer at Rion, who was coming towards him like a speeding bullet.

The hammer neared him, and Rion once again felt as if he was being pulled toward the hammer.

'Ah! He is spinning the aura inside the hammer with the intent of pulling me... This suits Karhun's fighting style, but I need to turn it into a fist technique first,' Rion mumbled inwardly.

He jumped back, and the hammer went past his head.

Golden flames flickered around his fists, and he swung.

Grathar spun his hammer, but he suddenly felt as if his hammer was being pushed away.

His attack slowed down, Rion's fist enlarged in his vision and struck him right to the face.

The layer of aura around his head cracked, blood spurted out of his face as a dam had broken, and he began to stagger back, but just as he was about to leave the range of Rion's fists.

Rion swung his fist, and the aura around his fist took the form of a small counterclockwise tornado.

Grathar's steps stopped, and he was pulled toward Rion's fist.

THUD!

The fist landed once again, a tremor ran down Grathar's body, and he muttered in disbelief, "H-How?!"

To his answer, a fist enlarged in his vision.
