Tribal Sign-In: Immortal At The Start

Chapter 146: Group Leader's Brawl [4]

The awakened god bloodlines didn't just affect a person's physical aspects, but also their mental aspects.

Whenever someone awakened them, the bloodline enhanced specific physiological parts of that person's core to make them more suited for it over time.

According to the name of Rion's bloodline — The Monarch of The Crimson Throne — he could guess that his bloodline was related to both war and throne, which meant his bloodline was supposed to change him in a way that he was suited for both of them, and he believed confidence to be such a quality.

After being motivated by the humanoid monster and broken down by the grief of the tribe members, the bloodline began to affect him in a way that was more profound than it ever had been before, and unbeknownst to him, he had reacted in a manner that was unlike him.

'Everything still turned out fine,' he thought while dodging the barrage of attacks from Zoka and Drokan, who were attacking him in a strangely familiar coordination.

Rion also blocked them without paying them any attention. It was as if he had done this before, but couldn't remember when.

The attacks came at him without a stop.

Aura crescents cut through the air and shot towards him from Drokan's axe, while waves of solid and sharp aura flooded like tides of blades from Zoka's axe.

He redirected the crescents back at Drokan and crushed the tides with the end of his spear.

The battle continued for a few minutes, and Zoka's growl tore through other sounds, "How the fuck are you not tired?!"

Drokan and Zoka moved once again. This time, instead of attacking in succession, they attacked at the same time.

Both of them jumped high, aura trailing behind them as they lifted their axes above their heads and descended towards Rion.

Rion's grip tightened around the shaft of his spear, and the aura around his spear began to spin in a clockwise motion.

The axes reached him.

He thrust the spear forward, and both of their axes were thrown off their direction.

They pulled them back towards him and swung.

Rion stepped aside to dodge Zoka and struck Drokan at the abdomen with the shaft of his spear.

The aura skin around his abdomen cracked, and Drokan was sent rolling down on the ground.

All of this happened within moments, and Zoka was already swinging his axe at him.

Rion jumped to the side and dodged his attacks while pressing down on him with his aura.

Sweat rolled down Zoka's body, and his muscles were already tense from using his axe with such frenzy.

He looked at Drokan from the corner of his eyes and mumbled inwardly, 'I won't be able to continue for long without him...' his eyes shifted towards Rion, and he remarked, 'This guy is a monster... but can he kill The Remnant...?'

He didn't know, but he knew one thing: nothing mattered before The Remnant; they were endless and unkillable, otherwise the Sovereign would've already killed them.

"Do you think you can kill The Remnant?" Zoka asked calmly, his aura dissipated, and he swung his axe at Rion's side.

Rion's aura dissipated as well. He blocked his attack and answered with a shake of his head, "I can't."

A surprised expression appeared on Zoka's face, and he muttered, "Then why feed false hope to everyone? Why give them dreams that they will never achieve?"

Rion chuckled and said, "I am not going to kill them, I am going to free them. That is my duty as the bearer of the God of Throne Bloodline."

The ground shook, but none of them knew why.

Zoka blinked a few times, his axe slowed down for a moment, and that was all Rion needed.

Rion struck the curve of the axe's head with the end of his shaft and pressed the spearhead against Zoka's neck.

A drop of blood slid down from Zoka's neck, and Rion declared, "You have lost."

Zoka looked into Rion's eyes and mumbled, "I have but... what about him?"

Rion's aura flamed once again, and his Zone widened as he searched for Drokan.

"Where is he?" He mumbled under his breath and widened his Zone even further.

Zoka touched his neck, looked at his blood-soaked fingers and turned around to leave.

Just as he stepped out of the clearing, Rion sensed Drokan.

He struck the ground with a heavy amount of aura.

Serpentine cracks appeared on the ground, and it crumbled.

The hollow world beneath Rion came into his vision, and his gaze fell on Drokan, who had gathered all of his aura at the sharp end of his axe.

Rion fell, and he swung the axe.

An enormous aura crescent flew towards him.

His aura covered him, and multiple layers of aura skin appeared all around him.

The crescent crashed into his spear, and Rion was sent flying with it.

Multiple of Rion's aura skins cracked and broke apart, and he crashed into the uneven walls.

Rocks and dust fell on him while he blocked the aura crescent with all of his might.

He gritted his teeth, struck the crescent with the wave of his aura-clad hand and threw it aside.

A tremor ran throughout the area as the enormous crescent crashed into the ground, and Rion's gaze fell on Drokan.

Drokan was breathing heavily on his knee, and his eyes were fixed on Rion, though he couldn't see much because of the lack of light.

"Did I win?" He mumbled, and the sound of steps neared him.

Rion stepped out of the dark and stood uninjured before him.

He didn't even have a bruise.

Seeing that, Drokan let out a baffled chuckle and said, "You are not different from us... You are different from everything."

A clang rang throughout the area as he let go of his axe and said, "You said you aren't hope but certainty... then can you give me the certainty that you'll free us from these mountains?"

Rion stepped forward, placed a hand on Drokan's hand and declared, "With thee, I shalt stand undefeated; under me, thou shalt stand free."

Drokan lowered his head and whispered, "Honour to the Gods! Honour to the High commander!"
