Tribal Sign-In: Immortal At The Start

Chapter 59: Better Ones

Rion stepped forward and yanked his aura-clad hand to grab the arrow flying towards his head.

He checked the arrow and looked at Dora, who had already nocked another arrow on her blooming feathers bow, in surprise.

"... Were you just waiting for a chance to fight me?"

Dora grinned and answered with a shake of her head, "No, I know that I am not strong enough to defeat you, but right now there are four of us... while you are alone."

An amused smile appeared on his face and he asked, "So you believe that you can defeat me with numbers?"

Dora didn't answer and let go of the string.

Pew!

The arrow zipped towards his head, and at the same time, Yuura, who had already unsheathed his howling wolf draggers, appeared beside him.

Rion jumped to the left to dodge both the arrow and daggers and threw the arrow he was holding towards Dora to stop her from shooting any further.

Tss!

The thrown arrow reached her and she stepped aside to dodge it.

After that, she looked at Rion with a dumbfounded expression.

As a bowman, she knew how much strength and focus were required to shoot an arrow, and Rion had thrown one using his hand; even though it wasn't as deadly as hers, it was still pretty fast.

'Blasted hell?! How strong is he?!'

She nocked another arrow and got ready to shoot.

Swish! Swoosh!

Yuura moved smoothly and fluidly like a cat and swung his daggers at Rion.

But the only thing they could cut was air as Rion dodged all of his attacks without breaking a sweat and as if that wasn't enough.

He yawned and taunted, "Aren't you supposed to be the fastest? How come you can't even touch me? I am not even using my aura, yet!"

Yuura gritted his teeth and continued to attack him.

Swing and slash.

Thrust and Stab.

He tried everything, but Rion dodged all of them with minimal moment, and he made sure to dodge just as the attack was about to reach him.

'He can't keep getting away with this!!' Yuura shouted in his head and continued to press further.

However, Yuura wasn't stupid.

He had no reason to continue his attacks just for him to dodge them, yet he wasn't stopping, nor was he slowing down.

Because at the moment, he was forcing Rion to the perfect spot for all of them to trap him in a four-way pincer attack.

Rion smirked and glanced at Kahrun and Tarun from the corner of his eye.

Both of them had already taken their spots and were waiting for Yuura to move the last piece in the right place so they could flip the board.

Dora, who had also guessed their thoughts, was also waiting with an arrow nocked on her bow.

'Don't disappoint me,' Rion mumbled in his head and continued to play their game.

"Do you only know how to dodge?!" Yuura spat while performing a double slash towards his sides.

An amused smile creased Rion's face and he shot while stepping back, "Do you only know how to miss?"

A vein throbbed at Yuura's head but instead of snapping back at him — he smirked and mumbled in triumph, "Got you~"

At the same moment, Tarun and Kahrun dashed towards him.

Tarun lifted his bull-headed mace and swung it down on him.

Kahrun pulled his fist back and punched towards him.

Yurra swung towards his abdomen and Dora freed the arrow.

Karhun's bear bite gauntlets grew in his vision and he mumbled with a smirk, "That's it?"

He took a step back to dodge Tarun's mace and a thin layer of silver aura appeared around his abdomen and back.

Yuura's daggers and Dora's arrow struck the thin layer of the silver aura and he grabbed Karhun's fist with his left hand as the same devilish grin spread across his face.

Tarun tightened his grip around the mace to swing at him but before he could, Rion punched him in the face.

Dora nocked another arrow to shoot and seeing that, Rion threw Kahrun towards her.

Karhun flew towards her like a snowball. Her eyes widened, she let go of her bow and grabbed him.

"Ugh!!"

She slid a few meters back and finally managed to stop him. She let out a relieved sigh and sweat trickled down her face as she looked at Rion with a horrified expression.

Terrified by his strength, Yuura froze in his place. His face went pale as he watched Rion beat Tarun to the brink of unconsciousness.

Rion continued his punches and made sure not to let him fall unconscious because otherwise his spiteful attacks would be meaningless.

'Getting punched on the face doesn't feel that good, huh?' He muttered inwardly as a cruel grin split his face.

After a few moments, he let go of Tarun and turned his head towards Yuura.

Yuura's eyes widened, and he stepped back in fright; however, before he could run away, Rion's fist grew into his vision and a punch landed right on the side of his horrified face.

He turned towards Dora and Karhun and dashed towards them.

Dora quickly picked up her bow and shot an arrow towards him.

Silver aura covered Rion's left hand as he grabbed the arrow and landed a punch at Kahrun's side.

Dora nocked another arrow, but before she could even pull the string, Rion placed the arrow in his hand before her neck.

"And Dead," he said with a bright smile.

She looked into his eyes and lowered her bow with an irritated look on her face.

He walked back to the centre, clapped his hands together and announced, "You all did pretty well for weaklings."

A frown appeared on his face, and he asked with a confused look, "...But aren't you all supposed to be strong and the BETTER ones, then how did all of you get defeated by a single child?"

His words were humiliating, but he knew that if he didn't do it, they wouldn't take this seriously.

He was immortal, but they weren't, and he had no plan of seeing any one of them die at the hands of those undead monsters.

All of them looked at him with hateful eyes and spat inwardly, 'What kind of child is that fast and strong!?'

He rubbed his chin for a few moments before his eyes gleamed in understanding.

He hit his hands together and stated, "It must be because you've never been trained to the brink of death!"

Rion had learned well from Haria.

"You! Why did you hit me more than others?!" Tarun cried but Rion ignored him.
