Hours passed, and they continued to lift the boulders.
Sweat glistened across their body like small gemstones, and their aura flowed throughout their body in soft wisps. However, those wisps weren't the same or equal; a few of them were either too small or too big, while most fell apart before even reaching the part that needed to be healed.
Each aura had a basic ability of healing and physical enhancement, and Rion only allowed them the usage of the healing ability while lifting the boulders.
Aura's healing didn't diminish the effect of training; instead, it made their body adept faster than it normally did, but there was a problem with using the aura for so long, and that was the fatigue... specifically, the mental one that would be so high that they wouldn't be able to do anything for a whole day.
But Rion already had a solution for it. While wandering the mountains, he didn't just scout for scenic spots, but he also memorised the spots that grew useful herbs.
And with a few of the herbs that he had found, he could concoct a medicine that would make all of their fatigue vanish into smoke; however, this medicine also had a very severe issue to it...
Rion watched all of them lift the boulders with deeply pained expressions carved into their faces, and he couldn't help but grin sadly at the needed suffering of his squad members.
Dora shook her head and asked, "What about me... squad leader?"
His grin cracked, and his expression darkened.
"Hehe," Yuura chuckled while shifting his eyes between the two of them.
Rion glared at him with a bloodthirsty look and shot chillingly, "Shut up."
Yuura gulped and tore his eyes away from both of them while chuckling inwardly.
Rion took a deep breath and said, "You don't have to call me squad leader—"
But she cut him off. "Didn't you say a squad member shouldn't be too close to their leader, squad leader?"
Rion turned silent and continued to stare at her with saddened eyes, but he couldn't allow Dora to caress him... not because he didn't want it, but because he feared falling too deep into it.
He feared that if he stepped too deeply into the pond of love, he might drown himself as well as his goals... so he had decided to stop himself and her from going further than he could allow at the moment.
He hardened himself and muttered, "If that's what you wish, then sure."
He looked into her eyes, they were trying to hide how hurt she was, and said, "As for what you so do... I think your teacher knows the best about it."
She bit her lip, nodded and walked away while unstrapping her bow from her shoulder.
She stopped a few meters away from them and began to practice her own aura technique.
The other three looked at her in pity, but they weren't in a position to say anything about her and Rion's love life.
Rion also stared at her with various thoughts in his head.
He wanted nothing more than to drown in her love and warmth. But now that his spark had returned, he didn't want to simply take her as things were.
No — he wanted to see the world with her.
He wanted their lives to be more than sweet talk and fleeting pleasure.
He wanted to carve the world for her.
He reluctantly tore his gaze away from her and muttered, "How long can you all last?"
"A few more minutes..." Kahrun answered with fatigued eyes.
He nodded and sat down.
He took out his dagger and began to clean and cut the herbs, then he used his aura telekinesis to pull a few leaves from a nearby redwood tree.
He crushed the herbs into a paste and placed them on their separate leaves before he took a deep breath and slowly flowed his aura into the pastes.
A tiny portion of all of the pastes flew towards each other and turned into dry powder before rolling into a pill.
A few minutes passed as he finished turning all of the paste into pills.
'This should be enough for a week.' He thought, stood up and dusted off his hands.
"Here," he muttered and moved one pill before their mouth.
They stared at the dark green pellets, then at him.
Yuura narrowed his eyes and questioned in a distrusting tone, "Is this going to make me dream something stupid?"
Rion looked at him with a deadpan look and stated, "I only did that to help you all awaken."
Yuura nodded inwardly and shifted his eyes to the dark green pill before asking, "So... is it okay for our minds?"
A vein throbbed at Rion's forehead, and he answered with clenched fists, "Yes... It is fine for your minds."
"Are you sure—"
"Just eat it, brother..." Tarun commented while glancing at the aura-clad dagger that Rion had clenched way more tightly than he needed to.
"O-okay," Yuura stammered and swallowed the pill instantly. The others followed.
Right after swallowing the pill, Yuura stuck his tongue out. "Bleh — this tastes like shit!"
Tarun nodded slightly and commented inwardly, 'And you were about to die over something like this...'
He was sure that if Yuura had continued asking about the pill, he would've reached Celestia from Rion's dagger.
Suddenly, Rion's eyes widened as if he had remembered something.
He turned towards the three of them with a deeply worried expression and said,
"Ah! I forgot to tell you that you won't be able to move your legs for three hours after taking the pill..."
All three froze.
Kahrun closed his eyes in silent defeat.
Tarun stared at Rion like he was a monster.
Yuura instantly turned pale and began to murmur random curses under his breath.
Rion grinned and nodded proudly at their reaction while chuckling inwardly. 'Heh! This will make sure none of you peeks again.'
"Make sure to train hard," he muttered and left to train with his spear.
