[Congratulations! You have awakened a cheat]
[Cheat: Infinite Stamina (Max Level)]
[Type: Passive]
[Description: Never experience physical exhaustion. Can run, fight, and perform actions indefinitely without rest.]
[Note: Does not affect mana consumption or mental fatigue.]
Another new one, let's gooo.
He observed the cheat description. This was another completely broken cheat. Although the description was a little different than what he'd expected from the name, it was still pretty good as is. Infinite stamina meant he could always fight at top condition no matter what.
The only bottleneck was his own mana. Still, in difficult situations, he could overcome this through Demonic Qi. He really needed to work on his mana recovery so he could afford spending some Demonic Qi for himself.
Now that he thought about it, didn't this mean he could fly practically forever? And at top speed too. Since flying cost stamina, he should be able to fly forever at maximum speed without ever getting tired. Now the only issue was mental fatigue, which could either be solved by sleep... or another method he was working on.
He clicked the roll button again.

[Cheat: Item Duplication (Level 1)]
[Dependencies: Infinite Inventory]
[Type: Toggle]
[Description: Allows the user to duplicate an item stored in Infinite Inventory, creating a perfect copy. Each item can only be duplicated once.]
[Note: Does not work on living items. Duplicated copies cannot be duplicated again, even if they are used to craft a complex item.]
This one was quite interesting.
Although it looked kind of weak at first - just being able to make a copy of an item - this was just the surface level. It was true that just making a single copy wasn't all that impressive. But if he had a million magic stones, duplicating all of them would give him two million.
As for the complex item part, the way Cipher understood it was that if he used the duplicated items to make another item, he couldn't duplicate the resulting item. This probably applied even to already duplicated original items.
This meant that if he wanted to duplicate a complex item - an item made from several resources - he needed to use the original and unduplicated resources so he could duplicate it later on. Though he didn't feel it mattered much as he could just duplicate the resources and make the item twice.
Maybe there was something he was missing. He decided to think about it later.
It was time for the final cheat roll. Cipher pressed the button.
[Congratulations! ESP (Level 4) has advanced to ESP (Level 5)]
And there it is.
Cipher waved his hand, dismissing the system and jumping onto his bed.

Back at the chairman's office, Amélie and Marcus sat opposite each other. The chairman looked at her intently, wondering if she'd heard anything he'd discussed with Cipher. This girl was really hard to deal with.
At that moment, she passed him a newspaper and looked at him, not saying anything.
"What's this?" he asked as he picked it up, only to almost choke on his own saliva as he read the title: "Association's New 'Heir' Revealed - Is Cipher Actually Marcus's Secret Son?!"
"What do you have to say for yourself?" she asked.
He looked at the newspaper, then sighed, putting it down. He'd been cautious for nothing. Although she was hard to deal with, her reasoning was surprisingly simple.
"Amélie, how old am I?" he asked.
"28. What does that have to do with anything?" she asked in frustration.
"And how old do you think Cipher is?" the chairman asked.
"I don't know. He looks 20, maybe 22. I still don't get where this is going," she said.
"Seeing as I'm 28, and Cipher is 20, could I have had him when I was 8?" he asked.
It was then that she finally understood what he was getting at. Her face flushed red in embarrassment. She then took back the newspaper, tearing it apart into tiny pieces.
"Anyway, why didn't you come to visit me? Do you not like me anymore?" she asked.
"What? Of course I do. I was just... a little busy," he said, looking to the side. He couldn't just tell her that he was avoiding her because she was crazy. Although she appeared like a decent lady on the outside, Marcus knew this was all an act.
The chairman sighed internally, wondering what he'd gotten himself into. Back when he was young and naive... Argh, forget it. She was still useful. He needed someone like her who was from the guilds so she could act as an insider for the association.
"Really?" She instantly sprung up, holding his hands. "I knew it. There was no way you wouldn't like me," she said.
Her expression then changed to something less cute. "After all, there would be no more you to not love me if you did that," she whispered.
"Did you say something?" he asked, but her expression was back to her bubbly, cute self. "What do you mean?" she asked.
"Anyway, I was really worried when the others kept saying you were dead," she said. "But I know when you will die, so I couldn't be fooled by them."
"You know what?" he asked.
"I know you wouldn't die that easily, so I didn't listen to them," she said.
Marcus pulled his hand away from her. "Ahem, anyway, you should get back now. It will be problematic if others figure out our relationship," he said.
"But I want to stay with you more. You never visit me after all," she said, putting on a sad expression.
"Well, um, I'll visit you more often," he said.
"Promise?" she asked.
"Yeah. Promise," he said.
"Oki," she said as she turned around and left.
After she was gone, he exhaled heavily. He wondered what had happened to her. When he met her, she had seemed much more kept together. Now that he thought about it, maybe he didn't really know her all that well. And when they met... was it really a coincidence?
He shook his head. He would think about it later. Now he was too tired.
"I'll go check on Vex before resting," he thought as he also left.
…
Amélie walked through a dark alley in silence. She walked until she reached an isolated place. She opened up a bloody book and began writing. She spoke aloud as she wrote.
"Husband is still acting distant. Maybe he doesn't trust me fully yet. But I've managed to gain the trust of all those around him, they already see me as their sister-in-law. Although it's not ideal, I'm making progress. Husband, just you wait. I will save you this time."
She finished writing. She then smiled. "After all, I have this treasure," she said as she closed the book, revealing the cover that read: "The Art of Love by - "

Ik I said no Li Yao but a book should be fine right?
It will be problematic if others figure out our relationship: idk if it's clear enough but here he is talking about other guilds.
