Game Invasion Era: Rise from Binding the Goblin King!

Chapter 103: Strange Mist SSR-tier Night Elf

"George, I just want to confirm again-are you really a student of this year?" Liam asked, his voice dry and his heart uneasy. He had always felt he had a chance against any strong opponent he faced.

But with George, he felt completely powerless, like an ant looking up at a god...

No matter how hard he tried, he just couldn't catch up.

George smiled slightly but said nothing.

"George, was that a Forbidden Spell you just used?" Emily swallowed hard, looking at the fire still burning fiercely in front of them. It showed no sign of stopping.

She had heard that Draconis only had one incomplete Forbidden Spell. The training was extremely hard, and only the Human Federation War God had managed to master it.

"Yeah, I got a broken copy by chance," George said, not saying more. He knew how powerful and valuable Forbidden Spells were. If he revealed he had a complete one, it would bring too much attention from strong people.

The others looked at each other and decided not to ask further.

"Is there another boss left? Are there students hunting it too?" George changed the subject, curious.

Liam shook his head. "George, the last boss is weird. It's in a mist area. It's completely dark inside, and even light can't get through. A few students went in to check and never came back. We're too scared to go in, so we came here to fight this Dark Dryad first."

"Can't even let light through?" George frowned. This didn't sound like regular mist. It felt more like a domain.

"Master, it's The Shadow's Embrace. A special ability of the Night Elf," Elise said, her tone serious.

She was an Elf Saint, the heir to the future elven queen. She had a deep grudge against the Night Elves and feared their powers a lot.

The Shadow's Embrace, sure enough, it was a kind of domain-like Strength.

George didn't think too much. He had to kill this Night Elf if he wanted to enter the Underworld.

He looked at Liam and the others and asked, "I'm going to deal with this one. Are you coming with me?"

They thought for a moment and shook their heads.

Emily said, "No. That place is too strange. We probably can't help and might even slow George down."

"Yeah. This time, we got over a thousand points thanks to George. Getting into the Obsidian Academy is easy now."

Mia looked at her points and said happily. They got over a thousand points just from killing the Dark Dryad.

With more than six days left, even if they didn't go into the Underworld, they could get enough points by killing monsters.

Lily opened her mouth, but said nothing. Her experience had reached level 39 and she was about to hit 40. But she was afraid of becoming a burden to George if she went into that mist area.

"I'll go with you," George saw what she was thinking and said.

"Okay," Lily happily nodded. If things got dangerous, she could just leave the realm. She didn't want to be a burden to George.

Emily and Mia looked at her with envy.

George didn't waste time. The group went to the Night Elf area on the other side of the wall.

His magic was completely drained, and he couldn't restore it quickly. But with Constantine and the others around, he was safe.

"We should hunt some monsters around here first. Maybe George can open the Underworld path. Then we can go in and hunt monsters," Emily suggested.

"George will definitely do it," Liam said confidently.

The others nodded in agreement.

Most students didn't leave either. They were searching around, killing monsters. They also wanted to get into the Underworld. The monsters there were stronger, more numerous, and easier to get points from.

George quickly reached the other side of the wall. A thick mist covered the area, and the range was even bigger than where the Dark Dryad had been.

"This is the Night Elf's territory? So weird," Lily said, looking at the thick, unmoving mist. It felt dangerous.

George didn't rush in. He looked at Constantine and asked, "Do you have a way to clear this mist?"

Elise spoke up. "No use. This is a Night Elf's special ability. It can't be cleared."

"I'll try," Eliex said, not believing it. He floated in the air, raised his staff, and chanted a spell. A strong wind blew toward the mist.

The mist stirred, but it didn't clear. It just moved around, like it was stuck in the area.

"This mist is really strange. It won't go away," Eliex said, coming back to George's side, disappointed.

"Looks like we have to go in to find that Night Elf," George said, not afraid. This Night Elf, no matter how strong, wouldn't be a match for the monster bosses he had already fought.

"Lord, I'll lead the way," Constantine said, lifting his War Hammer and ready to run into the mist.

"No," Elise quickly stopped him. "This mist is weird. It blocks light and even blocks Intellect sensing. We can't stay too far apart. If we get lost, we might never find our way back."

"A weak Night Elf? Is it that scary?" Constantine said, not believing it, but didn't rush in either.

"Follow Elise's advice," George said. "Don't get too far from each other. We all go in together."

Night Elves had been in constant conflict with the Elves, and Elise knew them best.

The group stayed close and entered the mist.

A cold wind blew. A chill filled the air. The world around them was completely dark-so dark you couldn't see your hand in front of your face.

Just as Elise said, Intellect sensing was greatly blocked. George could only sense things within ten meters.

He felt a small hand reach for his. Cool. It was Lily.

"Holy Light Spell," Eliex said, and a ball of light formed. But the mist still blocked it. It only lit up a few meters, barely helping.

"This is pure darkness. It blocks light magic," Eliex frowned. That small light didn't even reach as far as his Intellect sensing.

The light dimmed, and the darkness returned.

"Be careful," Elise said. "The Night Elf is a child of the night. It can attack us anytime."

She picked a direction and started walking.

"Hey, I remember something," George thought for a moment. He pulled out a dark red crystal from his pocket.

It was dropped by the Infernal Lord High Priest he had killed earlier. It could purify some bad effects and break certain mysterious realms and areas.

The dark red light pulsed. The mist around them actually started to clear. The view opened up, and visibility went up to about a hundred meters.

George felt a little safer. A ten-meter Intellect range was too small. If a strong monster attacked, they wouldn't have time to react.

But a hundred meters? That gave them enough time to sense danger and react.

But as the mist cleared, it was covered in a layer of dark red light from the Crimson Crystal, making it even more strange.

Lily couldn't help but grip George's hand, looking around with fear.

"Relax, there's no danger," George said softly, squeezing her small hand.

Lily's face turned red, but she didn't let go.

The group kept moving forward, deeper into the mist.

The area was empty. Just mist and more mist. George had a bad feeling-he thought they were lost.

But this mist-covered area wasn't more than a few thousand meters. At their pace, they should have already passed through the mist.

The only explanation was that they weren't going straight. They were just going in circles.

But there were no markers around. They couldn't tell the direction.

"Lord, should I make some noise and try to draw that Night Elf out?" Constantine swung his War Hammer, clearly getting impatient.

Elise said, "It won't work. That thing already sensed us the moment we stepped into this mist. It might be watching us right now."

"Seriously?" Constantine didn't believe it. He looked around carefully. In the area covered by the red light, there was no sign of anything strange.

"Ahh!"

Suddenly, a scream came from the mist. It sounded close by.

"Someone is attacking! Get ready to teleport out!" A second later, more panicked shouts followed. It was students who had entered the mist.

They didn't have George's Intellect power. Their range was only a few meters. They were basically feeling their way in the dark.

"Let's go check it out," George said, and immediately moved toward the direction of the sound.

But soon, the sound stopped. Everything went quiet again. Only the moving mist remained. Nothing else was strange.

"Come out, you coward!" Eliex suddenly shouted, and a glowing sword formed. He shot it quickly toward the left front, disappearing into the mist.

The mist stirred. Then came a cold, mocking laugh.

"Elise! It's really you! I didn't expect your power to have grown so much."

The cold voice echoed. A thin figure appeared in the mist. He wore a black cloak that covered his face.

George saw the monster's stats.

[Dark Elf Kaelthar Boss

Stage: SSR Tier

Level: 50

HP: 8,000,000

Night Elf Kaelthar, once an ancient elf, but he chose to follow the dark Strength. He sacrificed his soul to become a powerful Night Elf, mastering dark powers. He is a favorite of the Demon Race, and is in charge of guarding the North Gate of the Underworld. Any living being that enters the mist will die.]

It was an SSR Tier monster. Its level was even 50.

George saw the Dark Elf's stats and was a little surprised.

This was just the boss guarding the North Gate. The Dragon behind him must be even stronger.

The monster seemed to know Elise. They had a big grudge.
