The Black Dragon's cold eyes swept over Lily, then landed on the Golden Flame Dragon. A deep voice echoed, "I've been sensing a familiar energy. It's you, little one. You're still alive?"
"Blood debt must be repaid!" The Golden Flame Dragon roared. It shot out a scorching Dragon Flame, surrounding the black dragon's shadow.
The hot Dragon Flame swept through, but the black dragon's shadow didn't even flinch. It looked down at the Golden Flame Dragon with a mocking expression and said, "Want revenge? I'll be waiting for you deep in the Underworld..."
With that, the shadow disappeared, and the sky returned to normal.
George frowned. He could feel the dragon's power. That was just a shadow clone, and yet it had blocked Eliex's attack. It had to be at least level 55.
He didn't know if Constantine and the others could handle it.
After the Black Dragon Asos left, the space blockage was gone. Lily didn't leave right away. She looked worried and asked, "George, are you guys able to fight that dragon?"
George smiled and said, "Don't worry. Even if we can't kill it, we won't be in danger."
"Master, I can kill it," Constantine said confidently.
"Master, this one is mine. I have to kill the enemy myself," the Golden Flame Dragon said, landing on George's shoulder, its mood a bit agitated.
The Black Dragon Asos had killed its mother and then sealed it away. If not for George, it would have been gone for good.
George rubbed the Golden Flame Dragon's head and said, "Don't worry, I'll let you take revenge."
Then he looked at Lily and said, "Lily, you should leave first. This Underworld is really dangerous. If we face the real dragon, I might not be able to protect you."
The dragon's power was too strange. It could block space. The Realm Pass didn't work. If they fought head-on, he wasn't sure he could protect Lily.
"Okay, George. Be careful," Lily said. She knew she had to leave. She activated the Realm Pass again.
This time, there was no obstacle. Her body vanished into thin air and left the realm.
"Let's go. Keep moving," George said. He cleaned up the battlefield and moved forward.
All his materials had been given to Lily, and his bag was empty again.
Aurion City, Vespera Academy.
It was nighttime. The playground was bright and crowded with people—students, teachers, and even parents.
People kept appearing out of nowhere, their bodies flickering.
These were students who had taken part in the Underworld Realm Exam. They looked uneasy, clearly having faced danger and had to leave the exam early.
Most of them didn't even have 10 points. They wouldn't be able to graduate.
Then another light flashed, and a small figure appeared.
"Lily? You... why did you give up the exam too?"
A teacher recognized Lily and shouted in surprise. He ran toward her.
"What? Lily came out too?" The crowd stirred, and many people gathered around.
Among them was Lily's father, Leo.
He saw that Lily was safe and sighed in relief. He said, "It doesn't matter if you pass the exam or not. Just be safe."
Even with the Realm Pass, there were always students who died each year.
And this year's Underworld Realm Exam was especially dangerous.
"Ah, this year, our Aurion City is going to be a joke. Two top students, both had to end the realm trial early," said an old man, sighing and commenting.
"Yeah. I heard that Kent from the neighboring Aurion High didn't get any points at all. He ran out of the realm right after entering, and even got hurt."
"Is that true? Kent is an SSR tier Blazing Angel knight, and he was even specially recruited by the Sovereign City Temple Guild. If he didn't get 10 points, he won't even get a diploma?"
"Not a mistake. My classmate is from Aurion High. They say Kent got attacked right after entering the realm, that's why he gave up the exam."
"Who dares to attack Kent? Who has such guts?"
Kent was an SSR tier class user, and he had joined the Temple Guild. He wasn't someone ordinary students could mess with. Even the noble families of the Sovereign City would need some respect to deal with him.
"Quiet," the old dean said, raising his voice slightly. He interrupted the students' chatter, then looked at Lily with a last bit of hope and smiled, asking, "Lily, how many points did you get?"
"Um... over a thousand, I guess," Lily hesitated and didn't tell the truth.
The point count would be announced a week after the exam ended. She didn't want to reveal her real score too early.
"O-one thousand? Are you sure?" the dean's beard trembled as he asked in surprise.
Many students ended the exam early, and the highest anyone got was 14 points—just enough to graduate.
Lily blinked. She realized she had said too much.
She quickly added, "Oh, I must have misread. It's 174 points."
"174? That's not bad," the dean said, a little disappointed, but still comforted her. "You reached SSR tier, so even if your points aren't high, this exam was really hard. You still have a chance to get into a top academy."
"Okay, thank you, dean. I'll go home now," Lily said, not caring much. She wasn't 174 points. She had 17,420 points.
"Alright, go home and rest. The exam is over, don't stress too much," the dean nodded.
Lily found her father in the crowd.
"Good. Go home and rest. Don't think too much," Leo smiled and comforted her. He didn't care how many points she got as long as she was safe.
He had heard some inside news. He knew this exam was dangerous. If it wasn't for Lily insisting on joining, he would have given up too.
"Dad, do you know what your mother's family really is?"
Lily left the school and walked down a quiet street, asking curiously.
"Why suddenly interested in your mother's family?" Leo asked, confused.
"The truth is, my class stage went up again. I reached SSS tier. The Seraph of the Dragon," Lily didn't hide it.
"W-what?" Leo gasped, almost bit his tongue. He was shocked. "SSS tier class? Lily, are you joking?"
Lily smiled slightly and opened her class panel.
Leo's eyes widened. He couldn't help but take a breath, his voice shaking. "It's really SSS tier..."
"No," he noticed something strange and asked in surprise. "40th level, Fifth Rank? How did you level up so fast?"
Lily grinned and said, "I met George. He helped me level up. And my points aren't 174 either."
"You met that guy again?" Leo frowned. He could tell his daughter had a soft spot for George.
He sighed in his heart. But looking at George now, he was really good. He was worthy of Lily, maybe even a little above her.
"Wait, did you really get over a thousand points?" Leo realized, his face lit up. "Over a thousand points, plus your SSS tier class? You'll definitely get into a top academy. Even the Obsidian Academy. You know, SSS tier class users who grow up normally become War Gods."
"Dad, it's not over a thousand," Lily said calmly, dropping another bomb. "It's over ten thousand."
"Stop joking. You were in there for less than a day. Getting over a thousand points is already crazy," Leo didn't believe her.
Lily didn't say more. She just waited for the points to be announced. Her father would find out soon enough.
"Dad, you still haven't told me what's special about my mother's family," she asked curiously.
Leo frowned slightly and shook his head. "I only know that your mother's family was powerful. Their ancestors were somehow connected to The Celestial Serpent. But it's all gone now. I don't know much more."
"Is that so?" Lily looked disappointed. She never knew much about her mother, who had died when she was born. But she felt deep inside that, as she grew stronger, she would eventually find out the truth about her family.
"Don't think too much about it. Let's go home and celebrate," Leo said, happy. His daughter had become an SSS tier class user in just a day and got over a thousand points. That gave her a huge chance to get into a top academy.
In the Underworld, many high-level students had already entered. They were killing monsters and collecting points.
George and his group were among them, killing a lot of monsters and collecting over 20,000 points.
But they had a problem now.
"Master, we've been here before. We really are lost," Elise said, looking at the slimy corpses around them. She was frustrated.
Underworld: The Mireborn, a 45-level monster.
George frowned. They had been going around for a while and hadn't met any new enemies. That's when they realized they were just going in circles.
This Underworld wasn't just a maze. It was more complicated than that.
"Can we fly up and see the exit?" George asked curiously.
"No," Elise said helplessly. "Once we fly up to a certain height, there's a special force that suppresses our strength. Even Constantine can't break it."
"Damn it! My strength is suppressed in the air. Otherwise, I could have broken through," Constantine said angrily.
They tried flying out multiple times, but the higher they went, the stronger the suppression got. When they reached the height of a wall, they couldn't fly any higher.
In the complicated Underworld, fighting sounds kept coming from time to time, but they still couldn't find a way out.
George had one more idea. He could use the Taming target to teleport directly to where the Blazing Angel was.
But before that, he wanted to deal with the Black Dragon Asos first.
