Game Invasion Era: Rise from Binding the Goblin King!

Chapter 124: The Crafted Relic and George's Potential

"What? It doesn't make you go berserk in one night?" Ares's face changed slightly when he heard Eliex's words.

We used to check adventurers who entered the Bloodmist. We would keep them for one night. If they didn't go berserk, we would let them go.

We never checked if they had been pierced by a Bloodvine.

If someone was infected, they would be a time bomb.

Ares looked at the healing wound on his arm, then asked worriedly, "Are you sure I didn't get infected?"

"Why do you ask so many questions?" Eliex complained, floating over to him. His holy light shone and flowed into Ares' body as he checked carefully.

"Relax, you cut off your arm in time. You're not infected," Eliex confirmed.

"That's good," Ares sighed in relief. Then he added, "Can you check if any adventurers were infected?"

"Hmm?" Eliex frowned and became alert. He asked, "What are you planning to do?"

Ares smiled. "A lot of adventurers entered the Bloodmist before. I want you to help me check them all."

Eliex didn't want to agree, but looking at the piece of Bloodvine in his hand, he thought of the saying "it's hard to say no after taking someone's favor," and couldn't refuse.

Then he noticed Lilia by George's side. His eyes lit up. He said, "Actually, anyone who has the Light Strength can detect it."

Light Strength?

Ares also looked at Lilia. The academy had strong people who used Light Strength, but they didn't know how to test if someone was infected by Blood Poison.

So he turned to Lilia and asked, "Little girl, can you help me out?"

"Me?" Lilia was stunned. She knew she had been sold out by Eliex. She shot the guy a cold look and said, "I'll do what my master says."

"My master?" Ares looked at George, asking for his approval.

"That's fine," George smiled. "Do you know anything about the Crafted Relic?"

"Hey, how did you know about that?" Ares was surprised and looked at him suspiciously.

"Really? There's a Crafted Relic?" George was also shocked.

He had just asked randomly, but Ares's reaction showed he had heard of it before.

George continued, "Give me one Crafted Relic, and I'll let Lilia help you check if the adventurers who entered the Bloodmist were infected."

Ares frowned, looking uneasy. He said, "I only know it exists, but I don't have one. I can try to get it for you."

"That's fine. If they say no, I can offer an Epic-grade gear in exchange," George said.

Eliex was already making Legendary weapons. With enough materials, he could even make Artifact gear.

An Epic-grade gear was nothing special.

If he could trade one for a Crafted Relic, it would be a good deal.

Ares was surprised when he heard that. An Epic-grade gear was something the Obsidian Academy could offer, but it was still valuable.

"I'll try to get it for you," Ares said, but he wasn't sure. The information about Crafted Relics was very limited. And the only one known wasn't under the Human Federation's control.

"Okay, I'll let you use her," George said, trusting him and signaling to Lilia.

"Yes."

Lilia nodded, her expression cold. She silently moved to Ares' side.

"You guys can go back," George said to Constantine and the others.

Their presence in the Sovereign City would cause a big stir.

"Master, Lilia isn't here. I'll stay to protect you," Elise quickly said.

She clearly sensed a lot of strong energy around them. These people were way stronger than George.

"I'll stay too," Melina also quickly said.

George hesitated for a moment, then nodded in agreement.

The two girls didn't look much different from regular people. As long as Elise hid her elf wings, she would be fine.

The Golden Flame Dragon let out a low growl. Its big head came close to George and rubbed against him affectionately.

It also wanted to stay by George's side.

"Golden Flame Dragon, you can't. You've changed too much. You'll be noticed by strong people. Go back to the Abyss Realm with Constantine first. I'll come find you later."

George rubbed the big head of the dragon and comforted it.

The Golden Flame Dragon looked a little sad and nodded. Then it disappeared with Constantine and Eliex.

"Your people can just walk into the Abyss Realm?" Ares asked in surprise. He noticed they had disappeared without using a realm pass.

He had never heard of anyone being able to enter a realm like that.

George nodded and said, "Mr. Ares, if there's nothing else, I'll go back to the Sovereign City. Lilia, you follow Mr. Ares' instructions."

"I'll contact you once I hear about the Crafted Relic," Ares said, not pushing further since George didn't want to talk more. He watched George leave.

"Sir, are you okay?" A few soldiers came over, looking at Ares' missing arm and asking with concern.

"Nothing serious."

Ares waved it off. He was a Mental Sage, using his intellect to control his sword. Losing an arm didn't affect him much.

"Arrange it. Bring all the adventurers who entered the Bloodmist here. No one can be missed. Check them one by one," he told the leading soldier, then turned to Lilia and said, "Lilia, I leave this to you."

Lilia just nodded and followed the soldiers away.

Ares took the split-up tree and moved back to the Sovereign City's Education Department.

In a quiet courtyard, James was sitting at a stone table, sipping tea. When he saw Ares arrive, he stood up quickly.

"Where's your arm?" he asked angrily. "I told you not to enter the Bloodmist. Did you get infected?"

"Nothing," Ares waved it off. He sat down on his own, poured a cup of tea, and told James everything that happened in the Bloodmist.

After listening, James frowned and said, "With so many strong monsters around him, I'm even more sure that this kid is the Oathweaver class."

James rubbed his beard and smiled. The power of the Oathweaver was recorded in old books. It could even change the current crisis.

Then he thought about George having the demon mark, and his smile disappeared. He looked worried.

"Ares, is there a way to remove the demon mark?" He still had some hope.

Ares shook his head and sighed, "I looked into it. The demon mark can't be removed. If there was a way, the people around him would have already fixed it."

"Oh? Who's around him?" James asked, confused. He had already checked George's background. He was just a normal person with no connections.

"No. To be exact, it's not a person. It's a monster he tamed," Ares said, thinking of Lilia. "I think that Lilia is the Blazing Angel trapped in the Underworld."

"What? He tamed a god?" James had just picked up his cup and put it down again. He looked shocked.

But if you captured a god, it was even more tempting than getting a divine soul.

Ares thought for a moment and said, "I'm just guessing. That Lilia doesn't seem very strong. Her stage is only SSS tier."

"Only SSS tier?" James frowned. That stage probably wasn't a god.

Ares continued, "Lilia isn't the strongest one either. The kid has another powerful demon with him. His level is only 50, but his stage is clearly beyond SSS tier. It's a legendary level — the False God."

"A 50-level False God? That could easily grow into a god," James stood up and paced back and forth. After a long thought, he said, "No way. We have to make sure this kid stays safe. He can't go into any realm!"

A False God at 100 levels would definitely become a god.

James decided, even if George couldn't get stronger, he couldn't let him walk into danger.

"That's not possible," Ares refused. "I looked into the Oathweaver class. The level of a bonded monster can't go more than ten levels above its master. So, for George's monster to become a god, he himself needs to reach at least 90 levels."

"This..."

James fell silent. The higher the level, the harder it was to get stronger. Especially after level 60, each tier needed astronomical amounts of experience.

In the whole Human Federation, there were only two War Gods who reached level 90.

George had to enter big realms to hunt monsters if he wanted to get to level 90. Otherwise, it was impossible.

Ares continued, "I still stand by my original suggestion. We shouldn't get too involved. The demon mark is a double-edged sword. It might kill George, or it might help him grow fast."

"Hmm, you're right," James sighed. "But some of the demon bosses in big realms are even stronger than us. How could George stand a chance? Okay, we won't stop him from entering realms, but he needs a War God-level protector with him."

Ares shook his head. "You said it yourself — demon race bosses are stronger than War Gods. If George really brings one of them down, we can't do anything. And our protection might even slow his growth."

"But can we just leave it all to fate?" James still didn't want to give up. He wanted to protect George as best as he could.

"We have to let it be," Ares said clearly. "By the way, there's another thing — that kid wants a Crafted Relic. Can you talk to the higher-ups about it?"

"Crafted Relic?" James was confused. "He knows what it does?"

There weren't many details about the Crafted Relic. It was first discovered by the Frost Alliance in Frosthaven City. It was known as an SSS-tier item, but no one knew exactly what it could do.
