Game Invasion Era: Rise from Binding the Goblin King!

Chapter 80: Special Soul Contract the Map of Skyforge Empire

"Golden Flame Dragon, are you okay?" George looked down at the Golden Flame Dragon in his arms, his face full of worry.

At that moment, the golden scales on his body were slowly fading, and his life force was quickly disappearing.

Elise and the others came closer, watching the scene with concern.

"Ugh..."

The Golden Flame Dragon tried to lift his head, wanting to cry out, but he only managed a weak breath.

"Master, his soul is fading away," Elise said sadly. "If a soul disappears, he's done for."

"Soul?" George suddenly remembered something. He grabbed the loot that had fallen from Aaron's body—ten Soul Crystals.

He took one Soul Crystal and crushed it in his hands, then fed it to the Golden Flame Dragon.

Buzz...

A weak wave of soul energy flowed out. The Golden Flame Dragon felt a little better, but it was barely enough. His soul energy still disappeared quickly, and it didn't help much.

George didn't care. He crushed the rest of the Soul Crystals and fed them to the Golden Flame Dragon.

"Ugh!"

The Golden Flame Dragon let out another weak breath. It seemed like things were getting a little better, but his life force was still disappearing fast.

[The Golden Flame Dragon has serious soul damage. He is asking to form a special soul contract with you. He needs to live inside your body. Do you agree?]

A message appeared.

A special soul contract?

George was confused. He had never heard of such a contract before.

But there was still a chance. Without hesitation, he chose "Yes."

[Special soul contract signed. The Golden Flame Dragon is now temporarily living inside your body.]

Another message appeared. Then, the small body of the Golden Flame Dragon turned into a beam of light and disappeared into George's chest.

He quickly pulled open his clothes. On his chest was a lifelike tattoo, exactly the same as the Golden Flame Dragon.

"Lord, how did the Golden Flame Dragon end up on your chest?" Constantine was shocked. It didn't look like a bad thing at all.

George was confused too. He felt a special connection between himself and the Golden Flame Dragon.

"Golden Flame Dragon, can you hear me?" He tried to speak to the little dragon in his mind.

"Tired..."

A weak and young voice suddenly appeared in his mind.

It was the Golden Flame Dragon.

He was still alive.

George was overjoyed. He quickly asked in his mind, "How can I help you?"

"Dragon blood... or Dragon's core spirit..." The Golden Flame Dragon's voice came in broken pieces.

Dragon blood? Dragon's core spirit?

George was confused. He knew about dragon blood—some powerful dragons or races or classes related to dragons had a small amount of dragon blood inside them.

But what was a Dragon's core spirit?

He kept asking the Golden Flame Dragon in his mind, but there was no response.

It seemed the dragon had fallen asleep.

The only thing that made him feel better was that the Golden Flame Dragon was no longer in danger. As long as he found dragon blood or a Dragon's core spirit, he could wake him up.

Boom...

Suddenly, a loud explosion shook the ground. The stone platform beneath them cracked, and molten lava shot up dozens of feet into the air.

"Master, the platform is going down!" Elise's face changed. She quickly warned him.

"Run!" George realized what was happening. He quickly picked up Aaron's body, the loot, and the giant black bone.

The group flew into the air and ran toward the passage.

Boom!

Behind them, another explosion shook the ground. Hot lava rushed forward and poured into the passage.

Hiss...

Where the lava flowed, the unbearable heat burned everything. Even the hard rocks cracked and split.

If they were swallowed by the lava, there wouldn't be even a single bone left.

George and the others were terrified. They pushed their speed to the limit. Hot winds blew behind them, and the boiling lava chased after them closely.

Luckily, the passage was going up. The lava slowed down quickly, and the group made it back to the third level of the tomb without dying.

"Phew. That was close," Constantine sighed, still shaken.

"Master, is the Golden Flame Dragon okay?" Elise asked, worried, since the dragon had disappeared.

"He's fine for now. He's just asleep," George said. He could still feel the little dragon's presence, but there was no reply when he tried to talk to him in his mind.

"Did any of you ever hear of a Dragon's core spirit?" He asked the others, curious.

Elise and the others looked confused. They shook their heads. None of them had heard of a Dragon's core spirit.

It must be something even rarer than dragon blood.

At least the Golden Flame Dragon was safe for now. They could look for it later.

George thought for a moment and pulled out the loot he had gotten from killing Aaron. He checked each item one by one.

Shadow Crystal, Flame Crystal, Purple Gem Shards...

These were rare items. George used five Flame Crystals, and his fire magic damage increased by 5%.

He gave the Shadow Crystal to Constantine and Melina. The Purple Gem Shards were for crafting, so he saved them for later.

There was also a Lord's Authority Token and a Skyforge Empire treasure map.

[Lord's Authority Token: Epic item. Can be used directly by bosses with demon blood to become the demon Viscount of this area.]

Just like when he killed the Black Beetle King, he had gotten a Lord's Authority Token after killing Dark Knight Aaron. It meant he could now control this tomb.

"Lord, I can use this token directly," Constantine said, excitedly looking at the token.

"Oh? Are there any limits?" George asked curiously.

He had tried letting Constantine use the Lord's Authority Token before, but it didn't work in the Abyss.

Constantine shook his head. "This is different. That Aaron was the final boss of this area. Now that he's dead, the tomb is open. I can be the lord here with no limits. Plus, there are a lot of undead creatures here, and I can control them more easily."

With just one of his summoning skills, he could bring out undead creatures and demon monsters.

"Okay, then take it," George said without hesitation and handed over the token.

"Thank you, Lord!"

Constantine thanked him and used it right away.

[Your subordinate Blood King Constantine used the Lord's Authority Token. He now becomes the ruler of the tomb and is promoted to Demon Race Count. Four base stats +5000.]

[Blood King Constantine's power has increased. You have received a bonus. Four base stats +500.]

The message flashed.

George was surprised. Just becoming a Demon Race Count, and Constantine's four base stats had each gone up by 5000. That was 20,000 total.

And he got a bonus too—his four base stats each went up by 500. His Keeper class got a big boost.

Of course, the biggest gain was for Constantine. Now his power was comparable to a SSS tier boss of the same level.

"Lord, I feel much stronger now," Constantine said, his face full of excitement. He flexed his fists, his arm veins popping out, full of destructive power.

"Hmph, lucky fool," Elise said, watching Constantine grow stronger again with a hint of jealousy.

She and Melina were only SR tier, two steps below Constantine and the Golden Flame Dragon.

But George believed that once their classes advanced, both women's power would grow quickly—maybe even surpass SSS tier.

George looked at the treasure map in his hands.

[Skyforge Empire Treasure Map: SSS tier, records the treasures of Skyforge Empire. It's said to hold an artifact for becoming a god. Skyforge Empire was destroyed because of this object. To enter, you must find the Skyforge Empire ruins and hold Jason General's Medal or the King's Decree...]

Jason was right. The Skyforge Empire treasure really was a godly artifact, and you needed his medal to enter.

But there was another important condition—finding the Skyforge Empire ruins to activate the map.

"Melina, do you know where the Skyforge Empire ruins are?" George asked her, curious.

Of the group, only she had any knowledge about Skyforge Empire.

Melina shook her head. "Lord, Skyforge Empire has been destroyed for over 1,700 years. I've only heard stories about it. I don't know where it was located."

"Master, what if it's right here in the Abyss?" Elise guessed. "Many demon-race-destroyed countries turned into the Abyss."

The Abyss?

George felt a headache coming on. The Abyss was endless, and humans had explored it for hundreds of years without knowing its true size.

"There's another possibility," Melina continued. "The Skyforge Empire ruins might be in The Chaos Battlefield."

The Chaos Battlefield?

George had heard of that place. Like the Abyss, it was vast and endless.

It was a newly discovered ruin in recent years. Inside, it was even more chaotic than the Abyss. Not only did demons live there, but there were countless races—Orcs, Elves, Giants, Dragons... and even humans, though not from Earth.

In The Chaos Battlefield, all races fought endlessly. The survival rules were even crueler than in the Abyss.

"Do you know anything about The Chaos Battlefield?" George asked the group, curious.

Constantine looked confused. He didn't know anything about it.

Melina answered, "Lord, I know it's a place even crueler than the Abyss. But I don't know the exact details."

Elise shook her head too. She didn't know anything about The Chaos Battlefield.

George didn't press further. He had a feeling he would end up in The Chaos Battlefield eventually.

He stopped thinking about it and looked at the long sword Aaron had dropped.

[Dark Sword (Starlight Rank): Strength +1500, Physical Damage Boost 30%, Dark Damage Boost 30%, Critical +4, Dark Strength Insight +10%]

Another powerful Starlight Rank item.

Too bad it was a sword. He couldn't use it. Melina used a spear, so it wouldn't suit her either.

Constantine might have been a better fit, but the sword was too small for his massive size.

"Lord, can I have this bone?"

Constantine's eyes lit up as he stared at the black bone George had pulled out. He looked eager.
