Lily swung her staff, and magic roared through the air. The Dark Wolfguard leader was in pain, watching its HP slowly drop with no way to stop it.
"Have the guts to kill me already! This kind of humiliation isn't your strength!"
The Dark Wolfguard leader roared in anger, showing no sign of begging for mercy. This one had more guts than the Wolf King Bal.
George didn't respond. He stood by Lily's side, watching its HP drop slowly.
"Damn you! Lord Dual-Headed Wolf won't forgive you guys for this!" The Dark Wolfguard leader shouted. Its last bit of HP was gone in an instant, and its head fell to the ground, lifeless.
Another Dual-Headed Wolf?
The strongest boss in this area wasn't the Wolf King after all.
George frowned. He remembered that killing the Wolf King didn't drop the Lord's Authority Token.
Clearly, there was something even scarier here.
At that moment, a strong wave of power hit them. Lily was suddenly surrounded by a blinding light, and her body radiated intense energy.
She was advancing.
At the same time, George felt a burning heat on his chest.
It was the Golden Flame Dragon. It was absorbing the power that Lily released during her advancement.
George clearly felt the Dragon's life force rising quickly.
Hope this time the Golden Flame Dragon could recover.
But he was clearly overthinking.
The light around Lily slowly faded, and the powerful energy disappeared quickly.
Her advancement was done.
The energy that had been burning on George's chest also settled down. The Golden Flame Dragon still wasn't back to full strength.
"Golden Flame Dragon, how are you feeling?" George asked in his mind.
"Master," the Golden Flame Dragon's voice echoed in his head, no longer weak like before, "I've recovered a lot of life force. I'm no longer in danger. If I absorb the Dragon's Core Spirit again, I might be able to form a body. But to fully recover my strength, I still need to find a pure dragon bloodline."
The power from Lily's advancement was the Dragon's Core Spirit?
George was surprised, but helping this girl advance again would be hard.
He had already killed ten SS-tier monsters, enough to finish the Eliex quest and level up.
He'd take Lily up later.
"George, I've advanced to the fourth stage, and I've learned Dragon Language Magic!"
Lily grabbed George's arm, full of excitement. She had advanced again, and her strength had grown a lot. She even had a feeling that her job, Dragonkin Priestess, might break into SSS tier.
"Really? What did you learn this time?" George asked curiously.
"Three Dragon Language Magic skills," Lily checked her stats and didn't hide anything. "One close-range damage skill: Dragon Flame Destruction. One long-range damage skill: Celestial Dragon Thunder. And one control skill: Dragon Roar Soul-Taming."
She explained the effects of the three skills in detail.
"So strong?"
George was shocked. Lily's strength was now not far from his own. If it wasn't for the monster's power feeding back, he wouldn't have been able to beat her.
Looks like all SS-tier and above jobs were not to be taken lightly.
George looked at his own job. Frost Mage, S-tier. While Keeper was only C-tier.
To reach SS-tier and above, it still looked really hard.
He couldn't help but think about the Skybinder Mage job card he had gotten before.
This job started at SR tier, and had a good chance of breaking into SSR tier later.
Too bad he already had two jobs, and couldn't use it anymore.
He wondered if his two job panels would merge, and if he could get another job.
George was hoping.
"George, are we going back?" Lily's happiness faded. She thought about how she had been away for two days. Her father must be really worried.
George picked up the Dark Wolfguard leader's body and said, "Wait for Constantine to wake up."
"Okay." Lily looked at Constantine, who was still sitting cross-legged, refining the Fallen Angel's wing. She nodded obediently.
"Did you tell your father you were entering the Abyss domain?" George noticed her change and asked.
Lily smiled awkwardly. "I left in a hurry and didn't explain clearly. But it should be okay. I'll tell him when I get back."
"Okay?"
Suddenly, a strong wind blew. Not far away, Constantine's huge body was covered in black mist, giving off a terrifying and evil aura.
[Constantine is refining and merging the Fallen Angel's Wing, stage level up to SSS tier, four basic stats +5000]
[You have received Constantine's overflow, four basic stats +1000]
The message flashed.
George felt a huge wave of power in his body. His strength had increased a lot.
Even more shocking was that Constantine had broken through to SSS tier.
This was the first SSS tier pet under George's command.
"Did he succeed?" Lily stared at the strange scene in the distance.
A furious roar echoed. The sound shook the mountains and forests. Black mist moved. Constantine's huge body shot into the sky. His twelve wings spread out, like a Demon King had arrived.
George clearly saw that one of his wings had turned black and evil, with white lines running across it.
Just like the Fallen Angel's wing.
"This guy's strength just went up again. So many good chances," Elise muttered, feeling a little jealous.
Monster energy rushed into Constantine's body. He moved quickly and stood in front of George. He knelt down, showing great respect and said, "Thank you, Lord. I have broken through to SSS tier."
"Good work," George nodded in satisfaction.
He didn't expect Constantine to break through to SSS tier so fast. He wondered what came after SSS tier. God level?
As long as he reached level 40, he could unlock another pet slot. His pets' stages could keep going up. He didn't know if Constantine could break through SSS tier again.
It was time to finish the Eliex quest.
George had killed ten SS-tier monster bosses. Constantine's quest and the legendary equipment seal task were all done. After submitting them, he would get the reward.
"Let's go back to the real world," George said to Lily.
"Okay!"
Lily nodded, looking happy.
George turned to Constantine and the others and said, "You guys go back to the Death Grave first. When the College Entrance Exam starts, I'll call you back into the Underworld domain."
"Yes." They all answered, watching George and Lily leave before heading to the Death Grave.
With Constantine's strength up, staying in the Death Grave would be safe.
A sudden space-time disturbance made George and Lily leave the Abyss Domain, appearing on a wide street.
Night had just fallen, and the city lights were on. The street was full of people, and the two of them appeared without drawing much attention.
"George, can you help me get rid of these materials on me?" Lily looked at her phone, which had died and shut off.
Not far away was the Class Changer Association. She decided to sell her materials first before calling her father. It had been two days already, and she wasn't in a hurry.
"Sure," George said. His bag was already full, filled with B-tier and higher materials.
The two of them entered the Class Changer Association. There weren't many customers.
Carol immediately spotted George and rushed over with a smile.
"Mr. George, it's been a while."
George was a regular here. He usually came at least once a day to sell his materials. Two days without him was a long time for her.
George smiled and asked, "Where's Anna?"
Carol looked a bit uneasy. "Mr. George, Anna is at the Mayor's mansion, handling some handover matters. I'll call her right now."
She was about to pull out her phone when George quickly stopped her.
"No need," he said. "I don't have anything else. I just want to sell these materials. Take me to the back yard, and tell Anna when she comes back."
"Okay," Carol nodded quickly, not wanting to offend him. She told the two staff members at the counter and led George and Lily to the empty backyard.
George and Lily emptied their bags, piling up the materials into two small mountains.
"Wow! So many?" Carol's voice trembled as she looked at the pile. She couldn't help but swallow.
The lowest materials were B-tier, and the highest were S-tier.
George had even higher-tier materials, but he planned to keep them for himself.
"Just follow the old rules. Tell Anna when she comes back," George said coldly. He trusted Anna and didn't worry about the staff doing anything behind his back.
"Sure, sure," Carol nodded quickly.
"By the way," George thought of something else and said, "Can you get me an Advanced Crystal as well?"
He just needed to finish the Eliex quest to level up again. His accumulated experience was enough to take him to level 40, and then he could start the next advancement quest.
"Of course, Mr. George. Wait a moment, I'll go get it right away," Carol bowed and hurried off.
George and Lily went back to the main hall.
A short while later, Carol came back with an Advanced Crystal and handed it to George with great respect.
"You can just deduct it from my materials later," George said as he took the crystal.
"No, no," Carol waved her hands. "Anna already told us. Any item you buy from our association will be free."
George was surprised.
The Class Changer Association's items were free for him? That was too good to be true.
But he looked at the items on the shelves and saw nothing interesting. The highest-level weapons and armor were only diamond rank, which he didn't even care about.
Most of the high-tier materials were ones he had already sold.
It seemed the only thing he needed was the Advanced Crystal.
George didn't stay long. He and Lily left together.
