"Damn! We got him good!" Angela celebrated, flying around in a circle with a happy expression.
"That was indeed easier than I thought," Addison admitted
"I'm just happy that fucker didn't go into my head like it did last time." Brittany still remembered that feeling, and it was horrible.
"No. Don't celebrate too early. We haven't won yet." Jin stayed alert, telling his girls to do so as well.
Angela stopped flying and then looked at Jin with a confused expression. "What do you mean? You tore that bastard to shreds!"
"No. You can't kill a central hive mind-Láspi that way. They're very resilient. And after the shit I learned about this one, I wouldn't be surprised if—"
Jin's words were cut off when space started to crack in front of them, a hand reaching out to pull its body out of the spiraling space that Jin had created.
"If it did something like that." Jin finished
"What the fuck?!" Angela flew toward the Láspi to knock the bastard out, but Jin grabbed her leg, tossing her backward, and stopped the space from folding in around himself, which would have crushed Angela if she had not been saved by him.
"Dammit. I had hoped this wouldn't have been the case." Jin noticed that the Láspi was absorbing the mana from space, making it its own.
This meant that it would be significantly more powerful than it already was, and Jin would need to go all out to kill it. The downside was that he was near the planet and moon, so if he did, he could destroy them.
Space was large, and the distance between the moon and planet was no small distance, but that was simply how powerful and how much range his attacks had.
"I'm going to need you three to get out of here." He ordered them.
"No way. We're going to help you till the very end!" Brittany wasn't going anywhere.
Jin appreciated their aid, but if someone like Trinity couldn't do anything to the Láspi, then three of them wouldn't be able to either.
He hoped that he could work with them, but it was unfortunate that he couldn't.
"Since they won't leave, I'll just eat them for you." The Láspi disappeared, appearing behind Addison.
Jin was already on its tail, grabbing the Láspi by the head to pull it back. However, the Láspi dematerialized its head, making Jin lose his grip.
"Don't think that I'll be eaten by the likes of you!" Addison rained down energy on the Láspi, using mana to amplify her abilities.
She was doing good damage, but not good enough. In fact, she ended up helping the Láspi out.
"Energy absorption and projection are compatible with mana? Interesting!"
Before the Láspi could do anything, Jin locked it in a prison made out of runes.
"Get out of here, you three! Go to the moon and help the people out!" He demanded them.
"Ughh! Fine! But we're coming back once we finish!" Angela flew toward the moon.
"Stay safe." Addison flew away.
"Call if you need help. We may be weaker than you, but we'll fight by your side until the very end." Brittany blew him a kiss, then flew away as well.
"How sweet. You sent your little girlfriends away. Afraid they'll die by my hand?" The Láspi asked, breaking out of the prison.
"Yeah." Jin was honest. "Besides, with them gone, I can go all out and focus on beating your ass." Jin's hair stood up as mana coursed through his body at an intense speed.
His blue eyes turned black, and his overall aura changed, becoming darker, as if he were death itself.
"You can't kill me." The Láspi grinned.
"We'll see."
The two of them moved faster than what could be seen by a normal eye, their energies clashing as they locked hands with each other. Mana radiated off their bodies like a sun when it produces solar flares.
The Láspi morphed into goop, covering Jin's entire body, but it wasn't able to eat him.
With all of Jin's preparations combined with his powers, he was able to prevent the Láspi from eating him.
Lightning crackled all over Jin's body, shocking the Láspi. While it was immune to it, that didn't mean getting hit by it didn't hurt. Still, the Láspi didn't get off.
So, Jin turned his hand into a gun and fired a beam of Láspinium energy through the alien, causing it to flee his body.
"Nnnghh!"
"Hurts, doesn't it?" Jin smiled, coating his body in the substance.
"I'll kill you for that!"
"Say something original for once." He flicked his finger, a miniature black hole flying toward the Láspi.
Instead of dodging, the Láspi punched right through it, charging toward Jin.
The two of them engaged in a plethora of high-speed punches and kicks since they negated each other's abilities. It was a dog fight with the occasional fire blast to the face.
Jin grabbed the back of Láspi's head, the Láspinium radiation around his body not allowing it to morph into its goop form.
He slammed the creature on his knee, blasted the back of its head, watching as it was sent flying into space, then flew toward it, stabbing it in the chest with a Láspinium blade. Jin then jumped off it, shooting it with Láspinium energy rays, and caused an explosion with mana.
Angered by Jin's constant attacks, the Láspi used mana without control, absorbing tons of it into its body and releasing it toward Jin.
With a smirk, Jin stomped on space, causing it to ripple, which then sent the torrent of mana back at the Láspi, blowing it up in its face.
"Ha! How do you like that?!"
[Jin. The weapon is almost ready. I just need five more minutes.]
"Good. I'll hold—" Jin felt more and more mana being sucked into the Láspi, more than it could handle and more than it should absorb all at once.
"You wouldn't!" Jin said angrily.
"Watch me, you bastard!"
Reacting quickly, Jin used the most powerful protection and barrier spells he knew, encapsulating the Láspi inside it while drawing from the mana of space to strengthen himself.
Then, it happened. An explosion tore through Jin's protection and barrier spells, containing most of the explosion, but also causing devastating damage.
The light was so bright that it looked as if there was a second sun from the perspective of the people on the planet.
"Arghh!" Jin groaned in pain; the entire right side of his body burned to a crisp.
Although he managed to block most of the explosion, it was still a lot of energy, and it ended up splitting the moon in half.
