Thrusted into a world ruled by women

Chapter 95: Police HELP

It wasn't until an hour later that Roby finished his tests. He walked out of a room with a paper in his hands, lifting it up in the air with tears running down his face.

"Jin! Jin, I did it! I passed!"

"Congrats, man. You gonna take me out to lunch now?" Jin asked

"W-What? Lunch? Uhh, I'm kind of broke. Raincheck?"

"Brokie."

"Hey! That's not fair! Y-You don't even own a car!"

"Motherfucker!"

Even though Roby was completely out of line, Jin still drove him back to Sandra's apartment, where he was staying. Before Roby could start his job, he still needed to undergo training, do some blood work, and learn what position he would be working in.

"Thanks for the ride, Jin. I'll tell you when I start working so you can see me in my new uniform. I'm going to look so professional that all the ladies will drool over me."

"Sure, man. Take care."

"Bye!"

'Alright. Now that this little field trip is taken care of, let's go to the police station to see if they have anything on missing people.'

Jin dialed up Yuria's number and gave her a call.

"Yo, Jin! What's good? How have you been?"

"Pretty good. What about you?"

"Ugh, I'm swamped with work right now. Do you know how many people went missing because of the prison break? Too many to count. We have tons of scared family members in the station begging us to help them find their family or friends."

This was not surprising in the slightest. Even the Aegis Corps was swamped with people begging them to help find their family or friends.

People are even joining the Dicknitos Foundation just to find their family members. Jin didn't blame them for doing so, but he felt sorry for them since they would become corporate slaves after Richard got what he wanted.

'I still have to ask Carlnitus what his role in this foundation is.'

"Say, Yuria, do you have a list of people who are missing?" Jin asked

"Do I? Dude, we don't even have enough wall space to put pictures up anymore."

"Crazy. Forward me a list of everyone who is missing and their last known location."

"Why? Are you going to find them?"

"Eh, I'm going to try and put a puzzle I'm working on together."

Yuria didn't question what Jin was trying to do. She trusted him and believed that he would help them out. Besides, they needed all the help they could get since their staff was overworked.

"Forwarding the list to you right now."

Jin got a message on his phone. "Sweet, thanks. I'll see what I can find out later. Peace out."

"See ya."

'Okay, let's go back home.'

---

"Jin, do you have hobbies? Besides working?" Angela asked as she saw Jin sitting down, staring at a holographic screen of people's portraits alongside a holographic map of the city.

"Does sleeping count?" He asked, looking through the information given to him by Yuria.

"No. That's like asking if eating is a hobby."

"Well, there are eating contests."

"Shit, you're right."

"Hmmm." Jin took a closer look at a woman who went missing and the location where she was last seen. He then looked at another woman and where her last location was seen.

"This is... interesting."

"What is?" Angela rested her boobs on Jin's head as she looked to see what he was doing.

"Look at this. A woman was out doing holiday shopping, and the store was destroyed. A lot of people were rescued there, but she wasn't found."

Angela didn't understand why that was surprising. "Isn't that normal?"

"Yes. She was in an area that was affected by the attack, so it makes sense that she could be missing. So tell me why this woman over here went missing inside her own home in an area that wasn't affected by the prison break one bit?"

Now Angela understood what he was talking about. "Okay, yeah, that doesn't make any sense."

"Computer, check and see if this is a pattern."

[Analyzing....Separation complete.]

And there it was. The total number of people missing that the police had on file was around 3,000. Out of that number, 500 were missing who weren't close to any of the chaos. And what really made Jin squint his eyes was that the 500 people who were missing just vanished in plain sight.

"These were people who were in their homes or were working at their jobs. People who were in their own neighborhood, far away from the danger. And they just vanished without a trace. That's not normal."

Angela was slightly creeped out. If those people could suddenly disappear, then what if she disappeared as well?

"D-Do you think this is the work of the Sons of Adam?" She asked

"No. I know that this is the work of the Sons of Adam. I wanted to tell Mrs Horton that they were looking for people for their Omega Project."

"Wait!" Angela just realized something. "The men who went missing. Do you think they are going to experiment on them for that, uh, that endoskeleton?"

Jin nodded. "Yeah, I think so. I don't know how far they have gotten in building the skeleton, but they have the schematics for it, and they also have brilliant minds on their side. As for the women, they're gonna use their powers as batteries to power the ensoskeleton."

Angela clenched her fists in a fit of rage. She couldn't believe that someone would take the powers away from a woman to fuel their selfish and evil goal. It was immoral.

"Jin, you said in your old life, you were extremely powerful. Why aren't you as strong now?" She wondered. "Don't you think that if you were, you could have stopped them?"

Jin lowered his head, taking a minute to respond. "I didn't want to be." He answered honestly.

"At first, having all that power was amazing! I met gods who went on to be my friends, explored the universe, and had a great time. But it all became stale. Doing the same thing over and over again, I just wanted it to end. I wanted to return to my original world, where powers didn't exist, a place called Earth, but things didn't go as planned, and I ended up here. I had to sacrifice my power just to escape my fate."

"So that's why you never cared to join the Aegis Corps and just wanted to be a househusband."

Jin nodded. "Yeah. But then my parents died, and my plans changed. I wanted revenge, so I got strong enough for my revenge. But that was supposed to be a one-time thing. Then, circumstances led to the present day. I guess I can't rest until fate allows me to."

Feeling bad for him, Angela hugged Jin tightly, holding him in her arms until she felt like letting go.
