SSS Ranked Talent: I Can Upgrade My Skills Infinitely

Chapter 72: Voice of the Syndicate The Indestructible Juggernaut

[Distance too great. High-Level Interference.]

Alvian jumped from the roof. He used [Frost Heart] to glide, landing on the edge of the crater in the Plaza.

Standing in the center was a giant. He stood seven feet tall, encased in armor that looked like it was forged from the hull of a dreadnought. He wore no helmet. His face was scarred, brutal, and utterly impassive. He held a hammer that was larger than Alvian.

[Boss Detected: Syndicate General - Titus the Juggernaut (Voice Five)]

[Level: 50]

[Class: Cataclysmic Warlord]

[Passive: [Impervious Skin] - Immune to all damage below 5,000 points.]

"Level 50," Alvian muttered. "And a tank build."

Titus looked at Alvian. He didn't monologue. He didn't sneer. He simply hefted his hammer.

"You are the Anomaly," Titus rumbled. "Small."

"Size is inefficient," Alvian replied, spinning his lance.

"We shall see."

Titus charged. It wasn't a run; it was a stampede. The ground shattered with every step. He swung the hammer.

"EARTHSHAKER!"

Alvian dodged to the left using [Shadow Step].

"BOOM!"

The hammer hit the ground where Alvian had been. The impact created a shockwave that tore up the cobblestones for a hundred meters. Alvian, despite dodging, was buffeted by the air pressure.

[-500 HP]

"Shockwave damage," Alvian noted. "He hits hard enough to hurt the air."

Alvian landed on a pillar. He needed to test the defense.

"[Glacial Void Pierce]."

He fired a beam of void energy at Titus's chest.

"TING."

The beam hit the armor and dissipated.

[-0 HP]

Alvian raised an eyebrow. "Zero? Even with [Reality Sever]?"

"My armor is made of Adamantite infused with anti-magic," Titus stated, walking through the dust. "Your tricks won't work. Only strength."

He leaped into the air, defying gravity with sheer muscle power. He came down on the pillar Alvian was standing on.

Alvian teleported away just as the pillar was reduced to powder.

"He's fast for a big guy," Seraphina's voice came over the comms. "Alvian, that armor... it has a threshold. You have to hit it hard enough to break the enchantment."

"5,000 points," Alvian said. "I need a bigger hit."

Titus wasn't giving him time to charge. He was a relentless machine of destruction. He swung the hammer again, and again, driving Alvian back.

Alvian was on the defensive. His [Runic Aegis] blocked the direct hits, but the kinetic transfer was brutal.

"Inefficient," Alvian gritted his teeth. "I can't chip him down."

He needed to change the battlefield.

"System. [Genesis Mode]. How long is the cooldown?"

[Cooldown: 2 Hours remaining.]

"I don't have two hours."

Alvian looked at his mana pool. It was full. Always full.

"If I can't break the armor from the outside... I'll crush him with the environment."

Alvian led Titus toward the Academy's central reservoir—a massive artificial lake used for hydro-magic classes.

"Running away?" Titus taunted, smashing through a wall.

"Positioning," Alvian corrected.

He reached the edge of the lake. Titus charged.

"DIE!"

Alvian stood his ground. He waited until the hammer was inches from his face.

"[Void Shroud]."

He turned intangible. The hammer passed through him and hit the water.

"BOOSH!"

A massive geyser of water erupted.

"Now," Alvian solidified. He placed both hands on the water's surface.

"System. Max Output. [Frost Descent +2]: Absolute Zero Flash."

He dumped 20,000 mana into the spell in a single second.

The lake didn't just freeze. It turned into a glacier instantly. And Titus was in the middle of it.

"CRACK!"

The water froze around the Juggernaut, encasing him in a block of ice the size of a stadium.

Alvian stood on the ice, panting.

[Target Immobilized.]

But then, the ice vibrated.

"Crack... CRACK..."

A red glow appeared deep within the glacier.

"He's heating up," Alvian realized. "He's using his own body heat to melt the ice."

"ROAR!"

Titus shattered the glacier from the inside. He exploded out, steam rising from his armor. He looked angry.

"Cold," Titus growled. "Annoying."

He raised his hammer. The head of the weapon began to glow red.

"[Cataclysm Art: Meteor Strike]."

He jumped. He wasn't aiming at Alvian. He was aiming at the island itself. He was going to crack the floating island in half.

"Oh no you don't," Alvian hissed.

He checked his inventory. He had one charge of [Super Upgrade] left for the day. (Wait, he used two on the Forge earlier? No, the day reset during the forging process? Let's assume he has one left or refreshed). Correction from previous chapters: He used 2 charges on the Forge. He has 0 left.

"Wait," Alvian remembered. "I have the [Demon God's Nucleus] shards left over from the craft."

No, he used those.

He looked at his [Lance]. It had an ability: [Predator's Hunger].

"He wants to hit the ground? Let him."

Alvian activated [Shadow Step]. He teleported directly under Titus as the giant fell.

He pointed his lance up.

"Gravity is a two-way street."

He braced the lance against the ground.

Titus fell. He saw the lance. He tried to twist, but his momentum was too great.

"SKEWER!"

The lance tip hit the gap in Titus's armor—the armpit.

The force of Titus's own [Meteor Strike] drove him down onto the spear.

"CRUNCH!"

The lance pierced through the armor, through the shoulder, and out the other side.

[-55,000! Kinetic Reflection!]

Titus crashed to the ground, pinned by his own weight and Alvian's weapon.

"You..." Titus coughed blood. "You used... my strength..."

"Efficiency," Alvian said, standing over him. "Why use my energy when yours is so abundant?"

He placed his hand on Titus's helmet.

"[Glacial Void Pierce]: Point Blank."

"BOOM!"

The beam vaporized the helmet and the head inside.

[You have slain Syndicate General - Titus!]

[Experience Gained: 800,000!]

[Level Up!]

[Level 43.]

Alvian yanked his lance free. The Juggernaut was dead. But the sky was still open. And from the rift, a laugh echoed. Voice One.

"Impressive," the voice said. "But you are running out of mana, Godslayer. And I have an army."

Alvian looked at his mana bar. It was full.

"You have no idea," Alvian whispered. "I'm just getting started."
