I Got an Affection System in a Medieval Apocalypse!

Chapter 44: He call me bitch.

Did this debauchee actually ask her to join his play?

Shyla froze in the doorway. Her mind struggled to process the audacity of the question.

The man lying in the bed had four enchanting women wrapped around him like vines on a trellis. The air in the room was thick with the scent of love fluids.

Yet, he looked at her with a bright, welcoming grin, as if he had just invited her to tea.

It must be her ears malfunctioning. The sheer shock of the day had finally broken her senses.

Shyla covered her sharp ears with her hands. She cleared her throat loudly, refusing to look him directly in the eyes.

"Why didn't you open the door?" she asked.

She forced her voice to return to its usual freezing temperature, though her cheeks burned with a heat she could not suppress.

'And why this shameless act in the daytime?' she cried internally.

She kept her gaze fixed on the wooden frame of the door. She was the Rain of Ice, a high-ranking mage of the Apocalyptic Guild.

She had seen slaughter, monsters, and the worst of humanity. But she had never seen a pile of naked people looking at her with such innocent expressions.

While Shyla fought to maintain her dignity, Judas was fighting a different battle inside his mind.

[Congratulations! You have met a compatible target.]

The system notification floated in his vision, bright pink and cheerful.

'Shut up,' Judas snapped mentally. 'Didn't you tell me the probability of meeting compatible wives is almost zero? What the hell is this? It seems every pretty woman I meet becomes compatible with me.'

First, it was Zephriya. Now, it was this ice-cold Guild woman.

[Actually, compatibility depends on you.]

'You are telling me I am having that kind of thought about this woman?'

Judas glanced at Shyla.

Not gonna lie, she was kind of voluptuous. Her uniform clung to curves that were dangerous in a very literal sense.

Bah.

Judas shook his head.

She was not better than his three... four... five... six... no, five potential wives.

[You don't have to marry all the possible people you could get affection points from. Marrying grants you their attributes. This woman has an attribute you don't have; that is why you feel that way. In the future, you can get affection points from both men and women, but not all of them have to be romantic. Affection is a broad term, after all.]

Judas paused. He nodded internally.

It made sense. Just like he was getting affection points from Zephriya and Summer without marrying them, he could get the same from others. Friendship. Loyalty. Admiration. All of these were forms of affection.

Judas breathed a sigh of relief.

Although the idea of having a massive harem of beauties was exhilarating in theory, it would turn toxic very quickly if he randomly dragged every woman he met into his bed. He hadn't even decided to keep Zephriya and Summer as wives yet. Well, they hadn't considered it either.

But a question lingered.

'If they reach 100 in affection, what will happen?'

[Not all women will turn romantic toward you. You will get affection points from them. That is it. It just means you will have a higher chance of advancement with them, which guarantees an almost one hundred percent chance of success.]

'Then what about men?' Judas narrowed his eyes.

[You don't like men... as far as my memory says.]

'True.'

[Are you considering...]

'Bleh. No yaoi.'

Judas dismissed the thought with a shudder. He was strictly interested in the opposite sex.

"You four have attributes!"

The exclamation from the Guild woman yanked him from his thoughts.

Shyla had finally gathered enough composure to lower her hands. She was now staring at the bed with wide eyes. She had activated her appraiser skill.

To her shock, the room was glowing.

Not the man. The man was dull. He was a stone in a room full of gems.

But the women...

The wolf girl radiated a dense, swirling mana that spoke of high Intelligence. The elf possessed a sharp, wind-like aura indicative of immense Agility.

The dark-haired woman felt like a mountain, her Strength attribute humming in the air. Even the red-eyed woman, who was cheekily blinking at her, carried a dark, oppressive energy that made Shyla's skin crawl.

Shyla looked at Judas. She gave him a nasty look. Her expression screamed an accusation.

How did a peasant like him trap four Awakened women in his bed?

It was clear to her. He must be some kind of smooth-talking conman. A parasite feeding on their affection.

Judas saw the look. He immediately adopted his best innocent face. He blinked his eyes, looking like a wronged puppy.

"I am Shyla of the Guild," she announced, trying to regain authority.

"Hello, Shyla of the Guild," Judas replied politely. "I am Judas Iscariot. They are..."

He gestured to the lump of blankets and limbs.

"Can't they speak?" Shyla asked sharply.

Judas shut his mouth. He nodded at his wives.

Nina poked her head out from under his arm. Her ears twitched nervously.

"I am Nina Iscariot," she squeaked. "He likes to call me Puppy."

Shyla's eye twitched. Puppy?

Luna emerged from the other side. She rested her chin on Judas's shoulder, looking at the mage with a mix of arrogance and sleepiness.

"I am Luna Iscariot. This fool calls me Little Frost."

Ezra sighed. She sat up slightly, pulling the sheet to cover her chest. Her face was calm, but her ears were pink.

"Ezra. I am his Mommy."

Shyla felt her blood pressure rising.

Puppy. Little Frost. Mommy.

What kind of degenerate household was this?

Then, five pairs of eyes fell on the last woman.

Summer had slipped in beside Judas during the chaos. She was currently leaning into Judas, her arm hidden beneath the covers.

Summer froze. She turned her head around the room. She realized everyone was waiting for her. She pointed at herself with a confused expression.

'Oh... shit. I am ending myself.'

Inside her head, Zephriya was screaming.

'What a shame. You horny bitch. Don't think I haven't seen your hand sneakily touching his cock. Even if he didn't see it, I saw it! Sniff. Sniff. I wonder about the smell.'

The Princess spat the words into their shared mind.

Judas stiffened.

He raised the blanket slightly to look toward his nether region. His eyes widened. He had felt a hand fondling him for the last few minutes. He had assumed it was Luna, taking advantage of the confusion to tease him.

It wasn't Luna. It was Summer.

Summer coughed. She pulled her hand back quickly, acting as if nothing had happened. However, Judas swore he saw her quickly sniff her fingers before hiding them.

"Summer Iscariot," she announced proudly. "He calls me Bitch."

Silence descended on the room.

Then, three hands moved in unison.

"Ouch!"

Judas grunted as three sharp pinches landed on his waist, arm, and thigh.

His wives glared at him. He looked back at them with pleading eyes, silently screaming that he hadn't actually called her that, nor had he invited the hand in his pants.

Shyla breathed in and out slowly. Her breath caught in her throat. She pointed a trembling finger at them. She opened her mouth, but no words came out.

It was proven.

The hidden expert was not in this room. The man had no attributes. He was a commoner. A peasant.

The women all had attributes. High ones. Potent ones.

Yet, looking at their soft hands and their complete lack of combat readiness, Shyla realized the tragic truth. They had no skills. They had never trained.

What a waste of talent.

Shyla considered inviting them to the Guild. With proper training, they could become powerhouses. They could fight for humanity. But then she looked at how they clung to Judas.

They looked at him as if he were the sun and the moon. They were completely, utterly obsessed.

Shyla felt a pang of pity.

In the Wastelands, people like this were rare. But in the central Empires, it was not uncommon. Influential figures often forced their descendants to awaken attributes using expensive elixirs, only to use them as political pawns or breeding mares.

These women were likely runaways or cast-offs from such families. They had found a man who loved them, and they had chosen a simple life over power.

It was their choice. The Guild respected free will above all else.

Shyla praised Dora in her heart. Thank the gods she had stopped Ryan and Josh from entering. If those poor virgin men had seen this scene—four beautiful, talented women fawning over a single, attribute-less man—they might have spat blood and died of envy on the spot.

Shyla straightened her posture. She smoothed her uniform. She had seen enough.

"Shameless man," she muttered, "with luck that defied the heavens."

With a gruff sound, Shyla turned around. She marched out of the room, not forgetting to close the door. She pulled the handle with a bit more force than necessary.

Bang.

The door slammed shut.

Shyla stood on the porch for a second, taking a deep breath of fresh air to cleanse her lungs of the sinful scent of that room.

Then, from inside the house, a sound drifted out.

"Oh... husband..."

"Harder..."

"Wait, not there!"

The moans returned instantly. They were louder than before, as if the occupants were trying to make up for lost time.

Shyla stumbled. She caught herself on the railing. Her face burned hot enough to melt the magic wand in her hand.

She quickly composed herself and turned to look at her team waiting in the yard. Ryan, Josh, and Dora looked at her expectantly.

"Commander?" Ryan asked. "Did you find the expert?"

Shyla shook her head. She put on her coldest, most indifferent mask.

"No," she said coolly. "Just a horny man and his horny women."

She walked past them, heading toward the gate.

"Let's go."

Her teammates exchanged glances. They wanted to ask more. They wanted to know why their commander looked so flushed.

But the freezing aura radiating from Shyla stopped them. They fell into formation behind her, leaving the humble wooden house and its noisy inhabitants behind.

Inside the room, the acting stopped the moment they sensed the Guild members leaving the property range.

Judas sat up. He wiped sweat from his forehead.

"That was close," he breathed.

"Husband, don't you think you have an explanation waiting for us?"

Judas froze, looking at the smiling faces of his beautiful wives. He glared at Summer, silently pleading with her to help him, but she bit her lip instead.

"AAAAAHHHHHHH."

From the distance, the Guild team glanced back again and shook their heads in unison.

'Horny men and horny women,' they all thought silently.
