Awakening: Reincarnating With the SSS-Level Infinite Evolution Talent

Chapter 55: Eight Levels At Once Over 100 Evolution Points

Ding!

[You have killed "Gardener" (Level 50 Legendary-Rank Zone Boss)]

[You have gained 2,500,000 experience points.]

[Congratulations, you have leveled up to Level 27 + Level 28 + Level 29 + ... + Level 34!]

[You have gained 40 points in all attributes, and 40 free points to distribute.]

[You have gained 53 Evolution Points!]

[You have gained 1,000 Lives!]

---

"Damn!"

Even he had not expected the results to stack up this hard.

The sheer effect of the [Experience Boost], the [EP Boost], and the [Lives Boost] all hitting at the same time made everything about this victory feel perfect.

Every notification that flashed in front of his eyes made his heart pound faster, and each one only pushed the feeling of victory further.

Karl had just leveled up eight times in a row. Eight whole levels at once.

That was the highest he had EVER reached in a single burst since the day he started playing.

His level had never jumped this violently before, and feeling that much raw strength pour through his body all at once was something else entirely.

It was like every part of him was being pushed upward at the same time. The rush didn't stop there.

In addition to the levels, he had acquired a massive amount of [Evolution Points], and even gained a good amount of Lives on top of that.

"But still," Karl grinned as he lifted his staff, "More."

Hand of Oblivion!

The shadowy hand tore out of his staff immediately, long and dark, grabbing onto the Gardener's corpse and squeezing into it as if the body were made of smoke rather than flesh.

The hand seeped in, absorbed, pulled out everything that was left inside the monster.

Ding!

[You have gained 51 Evolution Points!]

[You have gained 974 Lives!]

"DAMN!"

Karl felt the shock hit him again.

He gained twice as many EP as before, which meant this single fight had now given him well over one hundred Evolution Points.

Enough to evolve not just one, but two legendary-rank skills back to back.

Even more if he really wanted to push it. A wide grin spread across Karl's face.

It took him a second to calm down, but he forced himself to breathe.

He focused back on the battlefield and looked at Moonless, who had taken damage during the fight.

She was still standing, but her armor and body showed the strain.

If her defense hadn't been that high, the fight might have ended differently.

Against something like the [Gardener], she would have stood no chance alone.

Even with her durability, that boss had been way too strong.

"You can rest for real now," Karl mumbled as he unsummoned Moonless back into her space.

He meant it too.

Now that he knew what level 50 bosses were capable of, there was no way he would summon her again if he were in mortal danger.

It would be too much of a risk.

"Still though," Karl smiled faintly, "I guess I CAN defeat some level 50 monsters."

It wasn't a lie.

It was all thanks to the multiplied damage of his class that he had been able to win at all.

Without that absurd scaling, he wouldn't even have scratched that monster.

But a win was a win, and this one had been incredible.

After returning to himself, Karl opened his panel.

[Free Points to Allocate: 60.]

[Current Evolution Points: 160.]

He had a lot of points to allocate, plus a mountain of Evolution Points sitting there waiting for him.

"Forty on Agility and twenty on Spirit," Karl said, allocating them quickly. "Not like my [Strength] or [Constitution] matters."

He didn't need either of those. Not with his class.

Agility and Spirit were what pushed him forward.

Aside from that, he noticed the [Gardener] had dropped two items onto the ground.

He moved toward them immediately.

---

[Gardener Shears (Legendary): Warrior/Assassin-type weapon. +6,500 Strength, +2,000 Agility. Requirement: Level 50.]

[Decapitation (Passive): If the user manages to cut down a being's head, they will immediately die, no matter how much health they have.]

---

This item was honestly ridiculous.

For any warrior or assassin capable of using it, this was the kind of drop people would fight over.

But that was normal for a level 50 item.

Some items at that level could easily be just as strong, or even stronger.

Players gained stats as they leveled up, sure, but there was no question—equipment was always the best way to become strong.

And the fact that the shears' passive was still intact only made it even better.

Karl stored the item in his inventory without hesitation.

Selling this would get him a fortune later.

Right after that, he moved toward the second item.

It was… a key.

"Oh shit."

---

[Flower Labyrinth Danger Zone Key: Allows the user to open the path to the "Danger Zone" of the Flower Labyrinth and access it.]

[Note: It only has one use, meaning that upon death, you won't be able to enter again unless you find another key.]

---

"Hm."

At first, he had thought it might have something to do with the gate at the base of the "Death" flower, but it didn't seem to be that at all.

Instead, it seemed like something tied to the interior of the [Flower Labyrinth] itself, opening a deeper path inside the zone.

'That thing only drops from the [Gardener] I'm guessing,' Karl thought.

That meant the number of players who had ever gotten this key was extremely low.

And he himself had NEVER heard of this so-called [Danger Zone] inside the labyrinth.

That meant either it was hidden or entirely impossible to even see without the key.

And this wasn't unusual in [Gods Ascension] either.

Monsters sometimes dropped key items like this, special keys used for specific opportunities or hidden areas.

Their drop rates were extremely low, or tied to powerful bosses.

Karl stored the key in his inventory.

Then—

Ding!

He turned around when he saw a timer appear above the [Gardener]'s corpse.

[23 hours 55 minutes and 47 seconds until revive.]

Zone bosses never died permanently.

They were linked to the zone itself, and they always came back eventually.

But waiting a whole day for this one to reappear meant that if Karl entered the [Danger Zone] and failed, he would be stuck until the boss revived again.

'Failure isn't an option,' he thought. 'Better move quickly.'

Before moving, however, Karl looked back down at his Evolution Points.

160 EP.

'I mean, no point in waiting to use them!' he grinned internally.

He went straight to his skills.

---

[Skills: Fire Meteor (Mythical), Invincible Magic Barrier (Legendary), Frostbite Crystals (Legendary), Storm of Lightning (Legendary), Lunar Beam (Legendary), Bloom Curse (Legendary), Hand of Oblivion (Legendary)]

---

He took a few seconds to look through them before choosing immediately.

[Do you wish to consume 50 Evolution Point to evolve "Invincible Magic Barrier"?]

"Yes."

Ding!

[You have evolved "Invincible Magic Barrier" (Legendary) to "All-Powerful Magic Barrier" (Mythical).]

[Current Evolution Points: 110.]

---

[All-Powerful Magic Barrier (Mythical): Summon a barrier that can endure up to 20,000 → 40,000 HP. 30 (15)-seconds cooldown.]

---

"Nice."

He didn't stop and moved to the next skill.

[Do you wish to consume 50 Evolution Point to evolve "Storm of Lightning"?]

"Yes!"

Ding!

[You have evolved "Storm of Lightning" (Legendary) to "Storm of Lightning" (Mythical).]

[Current Evolution Points: 60.]

"I guess the name didn't change," Karl mumbled.

---

[Storm of Lightning (Mythical): Releases a storm of lightning that will hit any enemy within radius, dealing 800% → 1,200% of Spirit and also has a chance to apply "Stun". 18 → 16 (8)-seconds cooldown.]

---

Karl now had only 60 Evolution Points left, but that was still enough for one final evolution.

And this time, he didn't choose a combat skill.

Ding!

[Do you wish to consume 50 Evolution Point to evolve "Hand of Oblivion"?]
