The fights exploded all around, people unleashing their abilities out of nowhere, and kill attacks landing left and right. A few awakened had already died.
Aren and Leon sat there watching, then Leon noticed Elena getting up from where she sat and walking toward the fight.
"She really has a God complex," he stated. Aren looked in the direction of where Leon was looking, and he too saw her walking toward the group.
"Isn't her father one of the strongest the world has ever seen?" Aren asked.
"Yhup, and for that reason, she believes she is the leader of this group here, and I can't blame her, especially when you are that powerful," Leon stated.
Elena stood close to the fight, rage written on her face. She bellowed, "Cut it out!" But her voice was drowned in the fight. More aggravated, she made a move, hands stretched out, and she used her gravity. "Gravity fall."
Immediately, the gravity around everyone there doubled. It wasn't enough to kill or injure, but enough to make them all stop and look at her.
"Enough of this, whatever is on this floor is not worth your life at all. If anyone still decides to fight themselves now, I'll be the one to take you down." She threatened, believing her warning would be enough to stop the issue, but she was wrong.
One of the men that had been involved in the fight stepped up, looking twenty-five at the very least. He lifted a sword and pointed it at her. "You might be an S-tier with a control ability, but do you really think you can take all of us down?
It seems things have started getting to your head. Need I remind you, this is now a game of survival, and I'll do whatever I must to ensure that I survive."
Elena frowned. She looked the man right in the eye. "Are you threatening me? Do you think I will falter because of numbers?" she asked, but the man stood there unyielding, his sword stretched out.
"She isn't alone. If any of you make another move, I'll join in." The A-tier boy spoke, oozing with confidence and authority. He walked up behind Elena, showing that he stood with her.
When it was only her, some of the others saw hope of winning, but with the two of them, it became more of an issue.
"Sigh, I guess I should join," Leon said and got up to his feet. He looked at Aren. "You should too, stand with the right side and snatch some authority here."
Aren looked at him with a confused gaze. "Did you not hear everything I said to you?"
"Oh, I did, but sometimes gaining power might change the minds of people," Leon said with a chuckle and then walked off.
"Weird dude," Aren muttered.
When everyone saw Leon walking, they immediately held their breaths, wondering where he would stand as well, and when he stood beside Elena, they knew that their fight had come to an end.
Elena looked at Leon and nodded before looking back at the man that had been speaking. "Do you dare to keep pushing?" she asked.
The man scoffed in anger and dropped his sword. "Stay on your high horse for now," he said before walking away. And so easily, the situation got diffused. Everyone returned to their places, and the entire floor was silent, no one speaking, no one talking.
Time trickled by slowly, and finally, the two-hour mark hit, and immediately, Elton appeared. She scanned the entire floor and only noticed a few bodies on the ground, meaning they had gone at it but somehow diffused the situation.
"Tsk tsk tsk, that's not fun," she spoke. Everyone looked at her, wondering what she was going to say. She lifted her hands into the air, and then a seal appeared, with four angel wings engraved on it.
"This was the item dropped on this floor, and this item is considered Angel's Seal, which meant whoever had gotten it wouldn't be harmed this entire stage, and could easily have other people complete the task for him.
It was a free pass seal which you all should have fought for, tsk, too bad you all didn't do that," she said.
When everyone heard what the seal could have helped them do, regret set in. If they had that, they wouldn't need to work at all and would easily gain.
She saw the desperation on their faces, and then smiled. "It doesn't end here though, as there is an opportunity for even something better—to get the seal again, and this time you can choose which stage you want to use it.
And the requirement for getting it is by gathering the most soul energy and world fragments, so the more you level up, the better for you." She spoke with a smile, but what this meant for the awakened was that most of them didn't stand a chance at getting it.
The amount of soul fragments you get from any task was heavily dependent on your tier, so this tilted the favor to the already powerful higher tiers, and the same went for soul energy.
But Elton didn't care. What she was here to do was to ultimately give them their best stage.
Aren, on the other hand, could already tell where this was ending. At the end of the stage, many people wouldn't have enough points, or would believe they didn't have enough to win it, and they would turn on themselves to gather points.
"It's another diabolical set-up to make us reduce ourselves. How far is this trial willing to go to turn us into monsters?" Aren wondered.
But there was a silver lining. If there was only one reward, not everyone would jump at it, due to the fact that surely one of the S-tiers would get it.
But as though Elton could read minds, she spoke. "And before I go on to tell you what exactly the stage will be about, rather than one seal, there will be five in total." Her words came like a bomb.
