SSS Ranked Shadow Monarch: Summoning Infinite Shadows

Chapter 172: One Move

The attack slammed into the ground and instantly began pulling everything that was around it into itself, pulling her for a hundred meters. Houses were pulled in, properties and more.

Luckily, people had already left the area due to the scale of the battle, and so no one was killed by the attack. After it pulled everything around, the black hole exploded, sending an extremely powerful wave outward. It ripped through the air, ripping the ground up even more.

When it ended, it was as though a serious bomb had gone off, and everything there now was wasteland. She stared at the place where Aren had stood and discovered that he was not there anymore, and that could only mean one thing. She managed to defeat him for sure.

Sadly, her moment of joy was cut short as Aren appeared right there along with Riker, standing unharmed and untouched. He looked at her with a smile.

She looked at Aren who was standing there, and her face twisted in anger.

"How are you still alive?" Her stoic nature finally broke as she spoke loudly.

"Well, I can't tell you that. Also, I think you have done enough damage here. It's time we end this," Aren said.

She frowned. "You think you can defeat me? Die," she growled.

"Back to the die," Aren said, and then bent his knee. "Riker, be behind me the moment I attack." He gave his order and then lunged into the air, his speed so fast it looked like he was flying.

She was shocked by this jump and quickly moved to attack him mid-flight. Aren smiled and then unleashed a barrage of shadow blades, all attacking her at the same time. Fear and panic gripped her. She could not even react in time.

When she managed to react, it was late. She unsheathed her own blades, but it was not enough to stop everything. The shadow blades slashed through her skin, blood spilling in every direction as pain shot through her body.

Seeing the situation she was in, she gritted her teeth, ignoring the pain she was going through. Her eyes glowed. She lifted her finger to her mouth while Aren was a few inches away, and then she bit into it. The blood seeped out and immediately turned purple. All the blood from her body that had been spilled turned purple as well, glowing brightly.

"Unique skill, Blood-Born Erase," she said in a low tone. Instantly, all the glowing blood turned into massive flowing spikes with attacks from all directions, all coming for Aren.

"She still has more," Aren muttered. He swung and blocked the first few attacks and was knocked back. More came for him, but Riker leaped into the air, spun around, his sword cutting through the rest.

The both of them landed and skidded back. She followed them with her attacks, wanting to ensure she finished Aren now.

Aren placed his hand on the ground, and tendrils shot out, attacking her own attacks. The collisions ripped through the air, but none were able to get through. The face of the lady by this time was now twisted in anger.

Seeing that she could not defeat Aren normally, while the attack was happening, she pulled out an item. It was a bow, made from some sort of black and purple twisted wood.

She gripped the bow and stopped her attack. Then she bit her finger again and allowed a drop of blood to fall on the bow. Immediately, the purple in the bow glowed, and it seemed like the bow came alive.

"That's a soul weapon," Aren stated.

"You can counter it with yours, master," Riker said.

"Yeah, but unleashing my full power here is only going to destroy this place even more. She does seem to care about the lives that could be hurt. I sadly can't be that reckless," Aren stated.

"Master has decent morals," Riker stated.

"It's not about morals. I've killed more than I can count by now, but I'll only kill when I need to," Aren stated.

The lady pulled on the string of the bow, and immediately a powerful arrow made of pure energy formed inside. The wind around her swirled like a vortex, even space distorted. When she took that shot, it was bound to be very terrifying.

Suddenly, Aren sensed another presence enter his shadow sense range. He looked over and saw a man flying in their direction on a sword.

He wore a pristine-looking noble robe, made from red and black, with a cape that flowed as he moved. His long black hair moved in the wind.

When he arrived, the lady turned to look at him. "What do you want?" she asked.

"Well, I heard you were causing havoc all for a token, so I had to come see. But this is worse than I imagined, for you to have even pulled out your sacred soul weapon," he stated casually.

Aren could tell from the way he spoke that he knew her.

"Don't try to stop me, or I'll come for your token," she said.

"No, no, I would never. But the tournament is about to start. The chosen can't still be outside at this time. We are meant to be inside the Black Castle. After all, this tournament revolves around us," he said calmly, trying to make her understand.

She gritted her teeth, the bow still drawn. She looked at Aren. "If I take this shot, he is probably already dead, so there will be no waste of time," she said, eager to finish Aren off.

"In your dreams," Aren said out loud, and then started walking away. "I don't know who you are, but I've lost interest in the fight now. I'm heading to the Black Castle."

The anger in her reached an all-time high. She was about to shoot, but the man flew over to her in an instant and grabbed her hand, stopping her. Then he pointed at Aren.

"Look."

She looked and saw a dagger in his hand, radiating with energy as Aren walked away.

"One move from you, and that dagger would have ended it all," he said to her.
