Becoming the Wasteland Overlord With My Harem System!

Chapter 162: Extra Baggage

"Hmm... Ssssp!"

"Nyaum..."

Axel opened his sleepy eyes, feeling something weird. As if something heavy was on top of his lower body.

"Mmmn... Master... Shhhp! Ah~!"

Seeing the bulge under his blankets, he casually lifted them. There, he saw it. A gray-haired, wolf-eared woman, gobbling him down there with such gusto.

Their eyes met for a moment, but despite that, she didn't stop.

Rather, as if feeling playful, she continued with even more powerful sucking.

"...!"

Axel felt his body spasm, followed by a wave of pleasure. And then…

"AH...!"

He sat up, panting hard, sweating bullets.

Looking around, he was alone in the still-dark room, probably at three or four in the morning. Even Navi and Mimir weren't present, most likely in sleep mode or wandering around.

"A dream...?" Axel muttered.

As he glanced down, he noticed a bulge on the blanket. His morning wood. At least, that fact remained true. Realizing that he was just having a wet dream, Axel grumbled as he lay back down once more, planning to nap for a bit longer.

Of course, he didn't notice the shadow hiding in the corner, holding the pair of a trembling penguin and a cat, while licking the thick white liquid from the corner of her lips.

...

Morning soon came.

Axel, for one, woke up with renewed energy, almost as if his fatigue for the past week had magically disappeared. Of course, it's because today was the day he was returning to their camp.

A few figures were present in the room housing the interdimensional teleportation array.

"Please send my regards to my daughter for me, Duke Axel, son." Queen Wisteria spoke with a sad smile. "Although I want to tag along, unfortunately, I'm busy with various things, so I can't."

Axel smiled at her request, nodding along.

"Of course, Queen Mother. I'll send Ria your regards."

Apart from the Queen, there were also the three princesses who watched over Axel for a short while, along with the few Elite Witches who stayed with him for a while.

"Please be safe out there, Sir Axel."

"Duke, please don't forget about us..."

"Thank you for all the work you did for Witcheria, Axel."

A few voices spoke at once, mixing in an indecipherable message. Axel couldn't reply to each of them, so he only smiled kindly in their direction.

"If you need help, just call! I promise to come running quickly!"

"Thanks for the dance last night~! It was wonderful!"

"Why are you leaving so soon..."

There were even the five women plus one—delegates from Totem—who were also about to return to their own dimension today, sending him off with various emotions. They, too, managed to dance with Axel last night, so they became a bit more than a simple acquaintance.

He even received something from one of them, a trinket able to act as a beacon to send an SOS signal to the creator of the item, the leader of the Shaman girls, Rin.

"When the chance comes, I will." Axel nodded in her direction.

But, of course, he had no plans of using it. What good would it bring him to drag someone unrelated into his business, anyway?

Still, he didn't throw it away but kept it in his inventory.

There's always a "What if?" scenario, after all, no matter how low the chances were. It could come in handy sometime in the future.

"The teleporter is ready."

Just then, the witch who was checking the magic circle urged them in. "Please, this way."

"It's time to go..."

Axel took a deep breath and followed the guide. He and Fenrir stood in the middle of the formation, staring at the crowd just a bit away from them.

Within the crowd, Nina—watching him go—felt conflicted.

Her guilt toward Teruria and her uncertain feelings toward Axel made her grit her teeth hard. Deep inside, she wanted to stop him, but there's no way she could. It'd be a disgrace for the Hallbach Royal family if two princesses ended up fighting over the same man.

"Master, please wait."

"Huh?"

But then, Fenrir's words made everyone stare wide-eyed at her.

Seeing that she got silent approval, she moved out of the magic circle, and...

"Eh?"

Grabbed Princess Nina by the cuff of her neck. Almost like a mother cat carrying her kitten as she went back to where Axel was.

"Wait, wait, wait..."

Axel held his forehead, seeing the confused Nina stare him in the eye. "Fenrir... what you're doing right now is basically kidnapping." He said. "Look, even Nina looks troubled."

"Huh?"

But Fenrir tilted her head, confused.

"But Master... isn't this girl a part of your pack? Are you not bringing her back with you even though she's one of your mates?"

"..."

Axel went speechless thanks to her logic.

"..."

Everyone else turned to face the girl in question silently, as if urged by Fenrir's words. Their expressions conveyed the question, "What the fuck are you doing?" even without uttering a word.

Nina, becoming the center of attention, could only hide her face in embarrassment.

"No..." She weakly cried.

However, there's no reason for Fenrir to lie.

Queen Wisteria, who was aware of Fenrir's true identity, could only smile weakly.

"Nina..." She spoke with a sweet, motherly smile—at least on the surface. "Go." And gave that short command.

In the next moment, accompanied by a bright flash of light, Axel's group vanished. Of course, the teary-eyed princess, embarrassed to death, ended up being dragged along with them.

Back in the camp, Arianne roared, "Alright, that's enough for today's training!"

The girls lowered their training swords, eager to comply.

"Head to the barracks, wash up, and then tackle your afternoon tasks!"

"Yes, ma'am!"

Everyone responded with enthusiasm, snapping salutes as they did.

Just then, a flash appeared in the southern part of the camp—a bright pillar of light that lasted only a moment. The girls, except for the newcomers, recognized it immediately.

"He's back..." Arianne whispered, her lips curling into a bright smile. "Sir Axel is finally back!"

She wasn't the only one to notice the spectacle. Everyone outside couldn't miss such an eye-catching event. "He's back! Sir Axel has returned!" they cheered, abandoning their tasks to rush toward the source of the light.

In the Workshop, Teruria sensed the surge of mana and realized what was happening.

"Husband's back~!"

Moments later, the girls sprinted southward. The distance wasn't far, so they arrived quickly.

As they approached the Laboratory, they spotted Axel, along with two additional figures.

Seeing the girls rush to greet him filled Axel's heart with warmth. A genuine smile spread across his face as he felt he had truly returned "home."

"I'm back," he said, still smiling.

"Welcome back, husband~!"

"I missed you, Sir Axel!"

Eve and Teruria leaped into his embrace. With their momentum, he might have toppled over in the past, but his current strength made it easy to support the two little ladies.

"I missed you both, too..." Axel patted their heads affectionately.

"...And?"

But their heartfelt reunion was short-lived.

"Husband, why is sister Nina with you? And who's that gray-haired beastwoman?"

The critical question hung in the air.
