A black dress shoes stepped out of the car then a man almost as tall as him followed wearing a full black suit.

He looked towards the brothel and sneered. Alaric now wondered what his brothel had done wrong.

The man started to walk towards him and the moment he reached him , he just gave Alaric a condensending glance then left. To top it all of one of his bodyguard was rude enough to bumb shoulders with him cause he was standing where the bodyguard was passing.

They we're just as rude as their master.

He followed behind then as they entered the brothel and came to the lobby. He looked around the place then picked a seat at the corner and sat down.

James was about to go to the man when he noticed Alaric following behind but Alaric shook his head and signaled for him to just go to the man.

James nodded and walked towards him. Alaric on the other side choose a seat that was almost near the place the Man was sitting and pretended to be looking at the midmorning view of the courtyard.

It was beautiful with all the flowers everywhere shining as the morning dew evaporated. He didn't have time to appreciate the flowers as he watched.

James reached the man and bowed before greeting him.

" Good morning sir do you need anything," Alaric strained his ears.

" You have something that belongs to me, " the man said. Alaric wondered if they might have stolen anything but nothing came to mind.

He was about to lean over a little bit more when he saw a flash of orange running towards the place where the man was.

Gemma, he ran towards her without a second thought. From the looks of it the man seemed hostile to them and he didn't know what he could to her.

The little shit was rarely at the brothel and it spents most of it's time in the basement or the woods hunting rodents.

He took a seat opposite the man.

" Hello I'm the owner of the brothel," he said his face turning serious and added," as you can see I'm a business man I can't just release my girls to any man who says they know them right?"

He leaned forward and smiled .

The man nodded understanding and flicked two fingers towards his bodyguard .

Suddenly three briefcases briefcases were put on the table . Alaric looked at it and wondered amusingly. Was he going to be paid off and then he would forcefully drag Serene there and give him up.

The bodyguards opened the briefcases. Alaric felt his eyes go blind with all money neatly stacked in the briefcase.

He was starting to get tempted but he wasn't about to loose his marbles because of money.

" There is ten million in each briefcase,* the man said, his voice cold as though he was talking about the weather.

Alaric looked at the money, then looked at the man, then the money and then upstairs. The smell of new money brushed against his nose.

He wasn't going to be tempted.

"No I ..."

Another briefcase was added. He fell for the temptation faster than ever.

" I have to talk to her first," he said his eyes on the money.

He stood up and left heading for James who was standing a few meters away.

" Is Serene up yet?" He asked.

" Yes she is already," James nodded,"that's what I wanted to talk to you about. "

" What is it? " He asked as they walked towards Serenes room.

" She didn't sleep with her auction partner. She just couldn't, we had to offer the man a full refund but at least he didn't cause a scene, " James said.

" What? " Alaric exclaimed in surprise.

" Yes and we just found out this morning that she was pregnant. "

James said also as surprised.

" This such a big coincidence, " Alaric said out loud.

They reached her room and knocked. Serene came to the door her hair messy and you could even see thr eyes were swollen. She was probably crying.

The moment she saw it was then her eyes watered again.

" Are you going to throw me out?" She asked as she let them in her room clearly nervous.

" No I would never do that we are family," Alaric reassure her

She laughed at That, "family. Hmmm I love that."

" So we do have something to talk about," Alaric started his voice soft, " there is someone looking for you I don't know if you want to meet him or we can chase him away. "

"But I don't know anyone other than yourself, " she said her face getting redder.

" His name is Richard, what was his surname again? "

" Devin's. ".

" Yes his name is Richard Devin's. "

The smile on her face vanished and was replaced with what looked like grief . Tears started to gather in her eyes and dripped down. Alaric was surprised.

" Are you sure," she asked her voice muffled from the beginning of her crying .

" Yes I that's his name I can show you the CCTV footage," Alaric said desparately looking through his phone until he found it, " here."

It was a CCTV photo of the man as he walked into the mansion.

The moment Serene saw it she stood up and rushed to the door and run. James and Alaric stood up and ran after her shouting for her to slow dyown.

They came down the stairs to see Serene jump into the man's arm who seemed to have stood up to meet her in the middle.

This is the most sop opera shit I have ever seen, Alaric thought as he looked at the two hugging while she cried.

After a few minutes of crying the man led Serene to the seat and help her seat down and sat next to her holding her hand.

Alaric was sat opposite them just looking at the lovey dovey couple . The man had changed somehow from cold sneering condensending to hearts in the eyes in a heartbeat beat.

" So, was he the one who bought you at the auction?" Alaric asked directly.

Serene smiled and nodded.

Basically there story was he was looking for someone to be his servant cause he didn't trust anyone,then he bought serene and after a while he fell in love with her.

But that would not be a complete romance story. He got into an accident and lost his memories of her and their time together. Serene was then kidnapped and sold to the auction by a girl who also wanted him.

But then he missed her and voila the memories came back shortly after and he heard she was in a brothel and now he was sitting Infront of him.

Alaric looked at them in shook after the man told him their story. It was just Soo generic and he was probably a side character in their story.

" Do you want to go with him?" He asked Serene even though it was obvious.

She nodded leaning her head on his shoulder.

" Okay," he nodded then turned to James who was standing behind him," take those briefcases."

He pointed at the closed briefcase.

"So Mr Richard, please do take care of Serene for me . She's family," he said with a pleasant smile on his face.

The man nodded," thanks for taking care of her," he said before picking her up and leaving.

Alaric looked at the love birds as they left with a smile. He had just gotten another support for the brothel. Serene was really a blessing to him.

Alaric turned and walked back to the brothel.

" Alaric," Blue's voice called him , he turned to see her waving for him to come towards her.

Alaric walked towards her smiling, he could already imagine how happy they were about the huge payout.

" Look," she said the moment he got near her and showed him her phone.
