Alaric looked at her genuinely shocked. She didn't even tell him her name yet but had already employed herself.

She was clearly a narcissist.

" What's your name?" He asked with the most professional smile he could Master.

" Joy," she said before looking at him with a self satisfied smile,"I know my name matches me quite well. Everyone says that."

Alaric nodded. Was this a punishment for oversleeping. He just had to get her as his first.

" Have you worked in this industry?" He asked again.

" Of course, my last work place was so toxic so I left," she answered. Alaric could already guess where the toxicity came from.

He had heard enough. The girl was probably never going to see that there was something wrong with her.

" I'm sorry Joy but you are not the person we are looking," he said his voice apologetic.

The girl looked at him stunned," me I'm not fit," she muttering to herself.

Alaric watched her vigilantly, you won't know when someone might jump over the table .

She stood up abruptly and then stomped out of the room and closing the door with a bang.

He could hear curses as they disappeared.

The door was knocked on again.

" Come in," he said just praying it wasn't another joy.

A woman with red hair, full make up and wearing a short dress and heels walked him confidently and sat down.

" Hello," she said greetings him.

" Hello," he said, " my name is Alaric, introduce yourself."

" My name is Sherry, " she said.

Alaric nodded. At least she didn't start to rumble like the other girl.

" Have you worked in this industry?"

" No, this would be my first time."

Alaric nodded a little surprised.

" Have you had sex ?"

" Yes."

" Will you be okay with sleeping with anyone?"

" I'm okay with it ," she said her voice nonchalant.

Alaric liked her even though she looked peculiar, maybe he really had shit tastes. But he just got a good feeling from her.

" Okay, you'll start your trial period this evening," he said. Her eyes widened then she nodded.

" Go to any employee and ask for James, say I sent you."

He dismissed her. She left her heels clinking loudly on the floor.

The next one came, non of them were as obnoxious as Joy so he was happy about how it had gone. Some had even asked to sleep with him, ridiculous.

Out of a hundred he had employed twenty of them and he just hoped the number will not reduce.

He stood up and walked out of the room only to meet Bethany outside the door. She seemed to be ready to open the door when he came out.

" Al, I was just coming to see you," she said as she hugged him he hugged her back pulling her into his arms.

They had all been busy that they didn't have time to meet at all.

He pulled her back into the room and ked her to the chair and sat down next to her playing with her hair.

" Is everything okay?" He asked her since she looked a little distressed.

" Nothing, " she said then turned to him cupping his cheeks and added looking at him with worried eyes," you know I think we're are all getting too dependant on you..."

" No.." Alaric tried to talk but she put her hand on his lips shushing him. He nodded.

" We've been pushing too much work on you actually. You are only eighteen not even an adult but you are the only one who reacted the fastest after the evacuation notice. To tell you the truth, mama Martha shelter was a little bit too much and then here you are taking over the very role and all of us didn't even feel anything wrong with it," she was breathing hard now her face red from both frustration and embarrassment.

" But you don't have to worry too much about that," Alaric said after waiting for her to finish talking," I'm not really that burned out, you should be asking that to James," they both chuckled.

" He took over Most of my work load so I'm not really that tired and busy. You don't have to beat yourselves too much for that," he added pulling her into a hug.

She started to cry and Alaric just patted her back as she cried until her sobs were reduced to hiccups.

" So me and the girls bought you a gift," she said digging into her pocket and took out a golden necklace with a small engraving of his name.

She put it around his neck and smiled at him.

He pulled her into her a hug and laughed out loud, she laughed with him. He had really missed her. She was like that caring older sister that everyone loves.

She said goodbye to him and Left. Alaric sat back on the sofa and touched the necklace with a smile. He pushed it back inside with a satisfied smile.

He stood and left right after. He needed to walk around the estate since kael wasn't around.

He should probably get new guards since only one won't be enough. He took a long walk around the estate and Gemma joined him along the way running forward occasionally and then looking back as though challenging him him to follow.

He really wanted to but he couldn't, he was at work. Gemma seemed to get bored after a few trials and left him disappearing into the rose bushes.

He didn't try to look for it after the first call for her to come back. He continued forward since he could already see the mansion Infront of him. The walk had been enjoyable to say the least and nothing unfortunate had happened.

When he was almost at the mansion he heard a loud commotion coming from the courtyard. He ran there to see two awakened fighting and the twins crying.

Alaric moved fast he threw his whip and wrapped it around the waist of the one facing him and pulled him to him.

The man flew back and Alaric caught him by the back of his neck and looked at the other man.

" Can someone tell me what the fuck is going on here?" He asked no one in particular as he let go of the man's neck who turned to look at him angrily.

Alaric didn't Care. When the twins saw him they both sprinted towards him and stood behind him holding onto his shirt.

The men didn't answer.

" I could ban you from here," he said seriously he wasn't about to let this go.

He turned to the twins, " so Emily, tell me the truth."

Emily nodded then took her sisters hand," we were called by both of them and we thought they knew each other but when we sat on the table. They both turned and ask to sleep with us both. When they both noticed they wanted us, they asked to slit us up . One for each but I refused. That man," she pointed at the guy who was still fuming near the table.

Alaric nodded and gestured for her to continue.

" He forcefully grabbed Emmys shoulders roughly and tried to pull her to him," tears started to well up again. She pushed Emmys dress sleeves up to show a huge bruise.

Alaric seeing this got very angry, was he trying to break her arm.

" This man saved us," she said pointing at the man who Alaric had pulled behind by the whip.

Alaric nodded and turned to the man who still looked angry but was calm now, " thank you for doing that."

He bowed his head.

" It's nothing," the man replied.

" Stay here," he said to the girls before walking towards the abusive man. He must have probably done that to a lot of women.

" Hey they are just sluts ," the man said dismissively.

" Just sluts," Alaric repeated eyes twitching from anger. But he was not going to attack.

" Yes, they've been run through by everyone,". He said his voice growing louder and condensending .

" Ooh , are you looking for avirgin or something," Alaric said his voice mocking, " only stupid men say stupid things."

" What are you even talking about?" The man ask the insult passing over his head.

Was this guy dumb or something, that just passed over him. Alaric though as he looked at the man who was almost his height.

" You know what, you are banned from this premise for the rest of your miserable life, " he said loud enough for the man and everyone watching to hear.

The man blinked at him then his face turned red with veins starting to appear. Alaric didn't care.

" I don't entertain any type of harm on my family so I guess you'll have to find new sluts in new places," he said his voice as condensending as it can be.

The man did miss the insult this time.

" Hey what the fuck are you saying?"

He charged towards Alaric his eyes wild.

Alaric smiled. Got you.
