Slime Leveling [Litrpg, Timeloop]

Chapter 67—Weak!

[ Ding! You have evolved to Acid Slime {Common} ]

Slime#47 opened his eyes and found Mama Slime and Little Slime glancing at him with concern.

"I am fine…" he said, making them relax.

[ Ding! Gained racial skills! ]

[ Ding! You have acquired Acid Spit {Uncommon} Lv.1 ]

[ Ding! You have acquired Iron Fist {Uncommon} Lv.1 ]

[ Ding! You have acquired Arm Block {Uncommon} Lv.1 ]

[ Ding! You have acquired Dash Flow {Uncommon} Lv.1 ]

[ Ding! You have acquired Flicker Fist {Uncommon} Lv.1 ]

[ Ding! Your race Acid Slime {Common} has caused your trait Viscous Body {Common} to evolve to Acid Viscous Body {Uncommon} ]

"Wow, Boss Slime… you have changed… and you smell so good," Little Slime shouted, his eyes shining with glee. "Tell me, Boss… how did you do that?"

He wanted to change as well. Young Slime, despite being the same size as a regular slime, was now grey in color.

And he emitted a sweet smell that attracted bees and insects.

'Aha… I am starting to hate this evolution,' Slime#47 fumed as he felt insects landing on him, but they fell to the ground dead when they touched him.

Some were so weak that their bodies melted instantly upon touching his acid body.

----

After dealing with the minor problems, he checked his notifications.

He opened the class evolution panel.

[ Ding! Opening Class Evolutions! ]

[ Ding! Available evolutions! ]

[ —Brawler {Uncommon}—

—Master of unarmed combat.

—Grants a moderate boost in training unarmed fighting skills mastery.

—Increases talent in unarmed combat skills.

—Grants class skill: Reinforced Steel Body {Uncommon} ]

[ —Iron Fist {Uncommon}—

—Master of fists whose arms are as hard as super‑reinforced alloy.

—Grants a moderate boost to training fist‑type and movement‑type mastery.

—Increases talent in fist‑type and movement‑type skills.

—Grants class skill: Hardened Steel Fist {Uncommon} ]

'So… which one should I choose?' Young Slime mused. After a bit of pause, "I'll go with Iron Fist."

After many loops, he had figured out his fighting style. He liked to rush in and smash his opponents, using magic as an auxiliary. He enjoyed the thrill of trading blow for blow, tossing in magic between strikes.

[ Ding! Your class Pugilist {Common} has evolved to Iron Fist {Uncommon} ]

'It's time, but I'm too… weak,' he muttered, glancing at the sky. The day armored soldiers appeared was near.

He knew his own power. The reason he had won against that slime farm owner before was because of his skill combo, but he lacked that in this loop.

----

A few days slipped by…

The gang hid at the corner near the farm's entrance. Thud!—Thud!—they finally appeared.

….

Puk!—A sword pierced straight through Slime#47's core. The slime farm owner grinned as he pulled his sword from the grey slime.

[ Ding! Your core has shattered! ]

[ You have died! ]

----

"As I expected," he muttered as he opened his eyes to nothingness.

The slime farm owner's level was 67, while his was only 50. How could he go up against someone that strong, especially when he was lacking his energy reserves after fighting many in a row!

It was the skill combo that tilted the odds in his favor previously.

'Lightning Slime race and Lightning Mage class… they could give a similar combo,' he thought, greedy to test it.

From this loop, he understood that ordinary basic classes would not give him an edge against high‑level opponents.

Even so, he decided to test them for a few more loops before deciding whether basic classes could work.

----

[ Ding! Starting Timeline 78521452224.26! ]

In this loop, he tested out the basic class Healer, and it was the worst choice.

He did not get any offensive skills, and his evolved class, Caretaker {Uncommon}, wasn't even worth mentioning.

With the race Big Slime, he suffered agony in this loop, feeling constant hunger and thirst due to his big size.

In the end, he finished the loop by dying at the slime farm owner's hands.

He picked Fire Slime for race.

He picked the basic class Defender for class, and it was an average choice.

He got defensive skills, and his evolved class Tank {Uncommon} was not useful against the Sword Wielder.

He could easily defend himself, but could not deal heavy damage. His firebody skill lacked offensive power without the boost of blue flames.

He picked Mage and Fire Slime, expecting a combo, but his wish went unfulfilled. He just gained pure mana skills, which lacked elemental power.

His evolved class sorcerer {Uncommon} was also a pure magic type with no elemental affinity.

He picked Crafter just to take a glimpse. It was an even worse choice than Healer. He facepalmed himself for that choice. He did not even have the materials to build anything.

He stopped leveling and just focused solely on mastery training.

After a few hours—"Acid Fist." He controlled the aura flow in his fist and slammed it into the fence—Bam!
