Slime Leveling [Litrpg, Timeloop]

Chapter 73—Demonic Force

Little Slime was kicked aside. He sulked hard as he Wob!—bounced away.

"Before we start, let me ask you a question. Are you sure you want to learn demonic magic?" Elder Slime asked sternly, his eyes narrowed.

"Yup, but why?" Slime#47 questioned, not understanding the meaning of the question. 'Who wouldn't want more power?'

"The demonic magic we use is true magic," Old Slime explained, his gaze turning sharp. "True magic… that isn't something ordinary to wield."

"Not ordinary?" The multicolored slime tilted in doubt.

"A person can only wield one kind of true element. The demonic magic we call is true magic with the darkness element," Elder Slime said, then continued after a pause, "You will not be able to wield another true element—like saint magic, the true magic of holy light."

"Are they like classes?" Young Slime asked. 'Timeloop can help me change it…' he mused.

"Yes… fixed once chosen," Elder Slime nodded, then clicked his tongue. "Tch! Your trait of rebirth… You change it...Can choose another element in the next life." His eyes twitched as he almost forgot Slime#47's trait.

"It's time…demonic magic. It requires almost Tier-3 energy resources—both mana and aura—which you already possess, E in mana and aura," Old Slime said.

"I see… no wonder you rejected us before," Slime#47 muttered. After all, without proper energy resources, neither spells nor skills can be invoked. It was useless to learn them.

"Darkness." Elder Slime cast it as a black magic rune flashed on his palm. From it, a wisp of dark energy manifested.

Young Slime's eyes twitched as he stared at the rune. He asked bitterly, "Do I need to get Darkness Magic Rune mastery to Tier One?"

'It will take many loops,' he lamented silently.

"No need," Old Slime replied. "You just need darkness energy, which I will provide to you."

He explained calmly, "Relax. Close your eyes and sense your mana and aura. While I inject the darkness wisp and use it as a core, try to combine all three of them."

He explained the principle, then Wob!—bounced closer and injected the wisp of dark energy into Young Slime's body.

He then backed away, watching Slime#47 carefully.

A jolt of burning pain washed through Young Slime's body. This was different from fire—not a regular burning heat, but something corrosive.

He felt like he was burning, but there was no warmth like flames. Instead, it was corrosive—like acid poured over his body, rotting flesh and organs.

He bit his tongue and focused on the wisps of darkness, mana, and aura. He pulled all three together and tried to combine them into one.

But when aura clashed with mana, mana ran away like a mouse. Aura turned heavy like a mountain and stayed unmoving, like a king.

Darkness wanted to establish its majesty as it collided with the aura, rotting with hot corrosiveness.

Aura didn't back down as it pressed down on darkness.

Under the clash, Young Slime spat out multicolored blood with his body wobbling.

He tried again, wiping off his blood.

He spat out his fluids again.

----

After several under the red rays of the crimson moons…

'This is so tough,' he thought with a scowl, irritated with running mana, the king‑like aura, and darkness that wanted to show who was a ruler.

He took every piece of advice from the experienced Elder Slime. He told him to focus on mana, which he did.

He started with mana. Instead of trying to fuse all three at once, he injected mana into the aura.

Aura was heavy from the beginning, sitting in one place, unmoving.

When mana collided with aura, he felt a jolt through his body. He spat out blood, but he stayed focused on mana, which tried to run away.

After a few seconds, mana and aura began to combine.

But then they split apart again, because there was nothing to bind them together.

"Got it," he grinned, even though it wasn't a complete success yet. "It's not a failure. I just need to do it with darkness as a core."

Mana and aura could never fuse on their own because they were two different types of energies. But with an element like darkness acting as the core, it could bind the two energies together and form a new energy.

He didn't try to fuse them with the darkness wisp right away. Instead, he tried fusing mana and aura a few more times.

----

Days slipped by, and three days after that…

Old Slime injected a wisp of darkness into Slime#47's body.

'There it is…' he thought as he felt the corrosive burning.

He took a deep breath and focused on fusing it with mana and aura.

Mana and aura fused easily now, as he was experienced in it. He didn't waste the past few days.

But darkness backed away, uninterested—so he forced it, like a rope tying it to the fused mana and aura.

It still broke away and escaped as he spat out his fluids, feeling a jolt of pain.

He concentrated solely on the darkness wisp, as fusing mana and aura had become instinct to him.

Instead of trying like before, he wrapped mana and aura around the darkness wisp and brought the aura and mana together.

With his past training, mana and aura fused like long-lost family.

Darkness in the middle shook hard, wanting to break free from mana and aura and escape.

But it failed, as both energies seemed too strong, intent on combining.

They both combined, and the darkness in the middle was forcefully fused against its will.

'Done…' he muttered with a broad smile.

He sensed the new energy within him. It was dark, hot, corrosive energy—mighty like the aura, but with sneaky intent like mana.

[ Ding! You have unlocked the Demonic Force stat! ]

[ Ding! You can now wield demonic magic! ]

'Finally… I can wield the true power of demons.' He clicked his tongue at his hard path to get to this stage.

99 loops. With F+ Will stat, he managed to stay fine. If an ordinary human with a G- Will stat went through this, they would be mentally broken, becoming psychological patients.

"Elder…"
