"*(##" The spider abomination's face split open down the middle, forming a grotesque mouth that revealed writhing darkness as a dark-purple magic rune flashed across it.

He dodged by flashing left and right, making the tentacles miss the target.

The floor cracked open from the tentacles.

'It got stronger…' he mused, as the blue marble road held it before.

'1 second passed by…' he counted. They were moving at insane speeds. He could exchange thousands of moves in the flash of a second.

'Those superhumans from novels and manga… they're real now, and I'm one of them,' he mused, a faint grin forming.

His will let him have thousands of thoughts in a fraction of a second.

"Elemental Wave." He blew out a stream of blue lightning from his mouth, turning into his slime form as a light purple magic rune flashed.

Octopus, fully focused on tearing him into pieces, didn't expect him to strike back all of a sudden.

But it reacted quickly and covered itself by pulling its tentacles back. The black energy around it grew larger, forming a shield.

The shield cracked due to lightning, but it held.

But it was enough.

"Roar!" The other two monsters flashed near Slime.

"Roar!" The octopus monster roared in pain as its black energy rose up into the sky.

"Crap..." Slime backed away as his fire beam got wiped out. The entire area's temperature dropped.

"Sealed artifact…" he muttered as three pitch-black tentacles manifested from the octopus's body.

Those tentacles didn't have small black eyes like the others.

Whoosh!

All three lit up with black, chilling flames.

'Are.… those really flames?' Slime#47 wondered as the black fire froze the ground beneath them. White ice expanded from them for a few meters as he leaped up to dodge the freeze.

Unlike regular warmth—where flames provide heat—these were cold and freezing.

Two metal clashing sounds grabbed his attention as he turned to the spider abomination. Its body turned into black metal, shining as it reflected sunlight.

Black energy rose from it, making the surroundings even more chilly.

The last monster also powered up, not backing down, as the ice on the ground expanded to a few hundred meters. It gained two more heads and two extra sets of arms.

"They're… different," Slime#47 realized as he spotted the fox monster's extra limbs and twin faces armored in yellow metal. It looked comical, but it was no less menacing.

In the city entrance from the fortress…

The gang entered the city and peeked at the fight from far away.

"This is… no doubt a Grade 1 sealed artifact," Elder Slime solemnly identified. He was a little tense for Young Slime.

'They are speaking in demon tongue,' Young Slime understood, removing his Demonic Surge as they were discussing. He couldn't waste his demonic force.

"You seem delicious," a cold alien female voice echoed from one of the fox heads.

"Yup, we will share the food." The spider creature's stomach opened a crack, forming a mouth from which a cold alien male voice echoed.

The three of them surrounded Slime#47.

"Appraisal." He activated his skill to check.
