Slime Leveling [Litrpg, Timeloop]

Chapter 83—Clash

"Damn it… I'm too late." The short, purple-haired young man scowled.

He glanced around the village and found burn marks and empty dwellings, checking the fire remnants of Oakfield Village.

'Damn it… Hero King Victoria will side with that demonic slime. I wanted to change that—but my memories…' he mused, patting his head furiously.

Boom!

He rushed toward the lower section of Oakfield Village.

"This…" he muttered, narrowing his eyes. "No doubt it's that demonic slime's true magic signature."

He had entered the slime fields.

"Demonic Bind…" he said, narrowing his eyes at the residue of magic.

"So this is where he was before Ruins City Lunxia…" His eyes darkened. "No wonder Victoria sided with him."

He scraped a trace of lingering demonic force from the ground, then pulled the palm-sized orb free from the chain around his neck and brought them together.

Gzz! Click!

The black orb's front layer rolled open, revealing a purple eye with a red iris.

The eye gazed toward the demonic force wisp, blinked for a moment—its iris shining with a crimson hue—then closed.

Click!

The purple‑haired lad broke into sweat and muttered, biting his lip, "Damn… this eats too much Will." He clenched his jaw. "But killing that slime takes priority."

He glowed with black light for a second.

"So that's where he is," he grinned, glancing in the direction of the Arica Lotus pond.

"Acceleration," he muttered, as his body glowed with the crimson aura.

Boom!

He took off.

In seconds, he spotted the slimes—and the cattle clustered around them.

His eyes instantly locked onto the attractive multicolored slime, who was meditating with his eyes closed.

"Is this the same slime…?" His brow furrowed. "I remember him differently."

"It doesn't matter. He's the one who will cause trouble." His eyes hardened. "So he dies."

Blackwell City—Adventurers Guild…

On the guild's first floor, at the mission board, a new mission had attracted everyone's attention. Many adventurers gathered near the board, inquiring about it.

[ —Group Mission—

—Level: B

—Investigate Oakfield Village and the surrounding 50 km radius.

—Notify the guild of any irregular findings.

—Caution: Requires a minimum of 10 B‑rank adventurers. ]

"B‑rank adventurers… and ten of them?" someone muttered, eyes widening in shock.

"No doubt, a Tier 3 being must have been sighted. I'm backing down—I'm too weak," a fat man sighed, shaking his head in fear.

"Of course you're weak. The mission already stated B‑rank," a slender woman near him scoffed. "To be a B‑rank adventurer, one must be level 126."

126? Level alone isn't enough," the bulky man taunted her. "Combat power decides B-rank."

"Yeah… combat power," many nodded, agreeing.

"So do you think the Flaming Peacock Party would take this?" the fat man asked with curiosity.

"Yeah. They're a veteran party. They even humiliated the Dancing Lightning Party before for their arrogance. They might be interested in this," a skinny man nodded, wanting to see a clash between two parties again—new and veteran.

Thud! Thud!

Hearing the noise, everyone pivoted.

A team of five members entered their vision, led by a huge, seven‑foot‑tall, red‑haired, burly young man. He held a buster sword, almost two meters long, casually supported across the back of his neck.

He was heavily armored from neck to foot, except for his head. His bulky white armor made —Thud!— sounds when he walked. He wore a red cloak, increasing his presence.

A long black‑haired young woman followed him, clad in a black mage set. She held her blue magic staff tightly against her chest, shy as everyone stared at her.

A brown‑haired, beautiful middle‑aged woman in black light body armor, with twin daggers on her right hip and a black cloak, walked from the left corner.

A blue‑haired, bulky man over six feet tall, heavily armored—even his head in violet heavy armor—with a large two‑meter shield on his back, walked at the right corner.

And a black‑haired, slender young man clad in a blue mage set, holding a white magic staff, walked between his captain and the shield guy.

"I want to watch another fight between both parties..… Would the new take over the old?" the fat guy muttered, as all adventurers moved aside to give them space.

'Idiots… the Dancing Lightning Party captain was hiding his trump card…' an ordinary‑looking man in the crowd sneered. He'd witnessed the Dancing Lightning captain at full power—luckily.

"We, the Flaming Peacock Party, take this mission." The red‑haired man said, glancing at the mission paper. He pulled it off the mission board and walked to the reception counter.

Everyone peeked in.

"Would the receptionist allow them to accept the mission?" a narrow‑eyed adventurer asked, because the mission required ten members.

"Of course. Just watch… You don't know their reputation," another chimed in, sneering.

The red‑haired man handed the mission paper to the beautiful young receptionist.

The receptionist smiled and said, "Since it's the Flaming Peacock Party—a B‑rank party—we will accept the mission due to your extraordinary combat power. I hope you will succeed."

She stamped the mission paper and handed it back to the party.

Arica Lotus pond…

'Who is he?' Slime#47's mind screamed. A chill ran down his core, as he glanced at the flying purple‑haired young man. He wasted no time, "Appraisal."

[ —Status—

—Name: ???

—Race: Chosen Transcendent Human ★★ {Rare+}

—Class: Crimson Battle warlock {Rare+}

—Titles: ???,???,

—Level: 114

—Tier: 3 ]

'…He's too strong,' Slime#47's eyes twitched, 'Why?'

"*&&." A crimson magic rune flared on the purple-haired man's palm. He raised his palm to the sky.

A fireball ten meters wide manifested in the world.

'Crap!' Young Slime reacted quickly and cast, "Water Ball."

A blue magic rune flashed on his tiny palm as an equivalent‑sized water ball formed.

The man hurled his fireball down at the slimes, and Slime#47 fired his water ball as well.

Whoosh!

Both spells dashed toward each other and annihilated each other in mid-air.

Boom!

Smoke erupted, covering the area.

"What!" Elder Slime, Mama Slime, and the others finally reacted. Young Slime and the purple‑haired man were too quick in attacking and responding.

By the time they could react, both spells had already collided.

Thud! Thud!

"What's that?" Multicolored Slime and the young man—about to rush toward each other—stopped in the middle as a heavy object slammed into the ground. Thud! Thud! The sounds echoed through the air.

"This is… corrupted," Young Slime roared as he felt a familiar eerie chill.

Both the young man and the slime flared their crimson aura, wiping out the smoke instantly.

A silhouette of… a human, with green vines growing all over his body, appeared in their vision.
