The Gamer’s POV

Chapter 62: Information Not Found

The two visitors immediately paused upon entering the cavern and their gazes locked onto us, huddled together tensely with our weapons pointed at them.

One of them was a beautiful woman in her twenties, with pale skin and long black hair while the other was a burly man with a massive, scarred neck and a face set in a perpetual scowl.

Upon locking gazes with them, my confusion deepened. Though I didn't recognize either of them as I had never seen them before, there was something eerily familiar about them.

They both wore sleek, black modern trench coats and boots. Perched on the woman's face were red sunglasses, and she sucked slowly on a lollipop, while the man carried a closed umbrella over his shoulder. An air of quiet authority surrounded the two figures, and just by looking at them, one might think they had stepped straight out of the administrative wing of a mega-corporation.

The woman tilted her head, and peered through her sunglasses, revealing her brown eyes. A sly smile began to slowly spread on her lips, and then she spoke to her companion. "My, my. Look what we've found, Tae-Hyun..."

Just then, a look of predatory anticipation broke through the man's perpetual scowl. "What a surprise," he growled in a deep voice, lowering his umbrella. "Just when I thought we'd return to King's Paradise without being able to level up, we stumbled upon a whole heap of fresh EXP. How lucky are we?"

Suddenly, I felt a cold dread wash over me at something the man said.

'…King's Paradise?'

That was what the Grade Three territory was called. What did this strange man mean when he said 'return to King's Paradise?'

I frowned as I studied the two figures in front of us. Ever since they got in here, everything about them immediately struck me as odd. Aside from their clothes, these people seemed to be in their twenties. The man looked a bit older even.

That was strange because first-year cadets were supposed to be teenagers. Since these people are not, then… who were they?

I immediately shifted my gaze and called out. '…Gamer Privileges?'

[Activating Gamer Privileges…]

'Who are these people?'

[Retrieving information…]

[…]

Gamer Privileges took a bit longer than usual, and then finally, it responded:

[Information not found…]

'What?'

My heart began to race faster. What does it mean by information not found?

Gamer privileges was supposed to have information on every single character created in the game. If it did not have information on these people, does that mean they were not characters in the game?

Before I could even ponder this, Dion tightened his grip on his spear, and asked confusingly, "W-who are these people, and what kind of language is that?"

'Huh? Can't he under…'

That was when my eyes widened, and a look of shock crossed my face as I suddenly realized that these people were speaking Korean!

'What? H-how is that possible?'

Suddenly, more questions began to flood through my mind.

How are they able to speak Korean?

Wait…

Are they transmigrators like me?

That would be the only explanation. Besides, on closer inspection, aside their clothes and the language, even their mannerisms felt startlingly familiar. But if this was the case, then… how?

More importantly, what are they doing here in this world?

While I was still lost in my questioning thoughts, the man did something even more shocking. He reached to the side and a blue portal appeared. Then he put in his umbrella and took out a long-sword in its place.

'Is that an inventory?'

"Hey! Do you mind telling us who you are… and what it is you want?" Dion yelled raising his spear at the man who had just armed himself.

The man ignored him and looked to the woman beside him, who was taking out a short-sword from her own inventory. Then he said excitedly, "I'll take the two boys. You handle the girls, Soo-min."

The woman smiled and nodded. However, just as the man was about to take a step, I finally spoke in Korean:

"Who are you guys?"

The man flinched violently and halted mid-stride. He quickly fixed his gaze on me and his face had a mixed look of confusion and stark disbelief.

Even the woman seemed taken aback as she blurted out, "Huh? Y-you... you can speak Korean?"

The man raised his sword and pointed it at me cautiously. "Who the hell are you?"

The moment he asked that, a notification popped up to my side:

[The unknown character … has used some sort of detection skill on you.]

[The exclusive attribute Gamer Privileges has activated a Non-diegetic barrier.]

[Due to the effect of the Non-diegetic barrier, the detection skill has been nullified.]

Suddenly, I could see the man's expression grow more wary as the detection skill he tried to use on me did not work.

Beside me, Dion, who was looking at me with wide eyes, suddenly asked, "Do you know these people?"

Without looking at him, I replied in Kaldor. "I don't…"

Celeste shifted closer to me, pulled my shirt, and whispered in a tight, fearful voice. "Brother… my bond, Lilith, says that she can sense the aura of Grade Three coming from them."

What?! Grade Three?

I immediately looked to Aika. 'Is this true? Are they grade three?'~

Aika immediately nodded. 'They aren't just Grade Three. Their level seems to be really high.'~~

A cold knot instantly formed in my stomach, as I could finally see why Aika was so on edge. Even her usually stoic demeanor seemed to be wavering.

At that moment, the strange lady took a step forward while also taking off her glasses. Then she pointed her short-sword at me. "You are not one of us who came through the light, so answer the question… who the fuck are you?"

For a moment after she spoke, there was only silence in the cavern. Then I finally replied thoughtfully. "I'm a dominant of the bastion of crimson and silver. I'm able to understand and speak to you because of a skill I have."

"Bastion of crimson and silver?" The man tilted his head and arched a brow. "What the hell is that?"
