Just as Damien was about to land the first strike, the rat king, sensing the intruders, instantly it let out a terrifying sound
SKREEEEEE!
The screech was a warning sound, displaying it's annoyance and anger to those who had invaded it's abode.
In anger, It slammed into to the ground, shaking of the tens of thousands of rats around it.
A movement that made the ocean of fur below them erupt.
*BOOM!*
Following the command of their leader, ten thousand Abyss Rats scrambled over each other, a tide of grey and black bodies rushing toward the Damien and Isabelle, their eyes glowing red with unbound ferocity.
They climbed with unnatural speed, their claws screeching against the metal, a tidal wave of teeth ascending from the dark.
In the center, the Rat King roared. Its massive, fused body convulsed, and the pulsating green crystal in its chest flared.
"Isabelle," Damien said calmly, not taking his eyes off the Rat King. "Clear the board."
"Yes, Master."
Isabelle stepped in front of him, facing the swarm climbing the nearest pillar.
Looking at the sea of enemies, although she wanted to continue to test out her will abilities, but now wasn't the time.
To clear out a large crowed such as these, she already knew what to do.
Closing her eyes and clenched her fists. The air around her distorted, heavy and suffocating.
"Gravity Magic..."
She slammed her foot down.
"...Event Horizon."
CRUNCH.
Gravity in a twenty-meter radius around the catwalk intensified by fifty times instantly.
Under Isabelle's command, even fifth orders and sixth orders like her dare not say they could confidently stand under her gravity
And sure enough, under such an ability, the first wave of rats reaching the railing didn't even have time to scream.
Under the extreme gravity, their bodies were flattened instantly. Bones snapped, organs liquefied, and metal teeth crumpled like tin foil.
In seconds, a wall of compressed gore formed around the catwalk, a grotesque physical barrier made of the first thousand victims.
The rats behind them crashed into the meat wall, unable to push through the density of Isabelle's power.
"Good," Damien grinned, seeing the path clear.
He vaulted over the railing.
WHOOSH.
Without a second thought, he plummeted fifty feet down into the heart of the swarm.
The Rat King in return seeing the figure rapidly descending couldn't help but get angry, the intruder not only did it not run away, but ran towards him? Didn't he know he was king?.
Shrieking in anger, it whipped its "tail", a grotesque, fused knot of hundreds of smaller tails, thick as a tree trunk at the falling human.
As a sixth order being, it moved at a speed faster than sound. A whip-crack of muscle and bone meant to turn Damien into paste.
However, still falling from the sky, Damien didn't dodge, in fact he looked at the oncoming tail with a smile on his face underneath the mask.
He extended his right hand. No sword. No magic. Just his gloved palm.
BAM.
The impact shook the entire cistern.
Dust rained from the ceiling.
But when the dust settled, Damien was standing on the back of a dead rat, holding the massive, fused tail of the King with one hand.
He hadn't moved an inch.
The Rat King's eyes bulged. It tugged, trying to pull its tail back, but Damien's grip was absolute.
"Tier 6?" Damien scoffed, his voice echoing in the silent shock of the monster.
"For an animal I guess you're alright."
"However, you have to understand, as an animal, that you only exist as prey to humans"
His Celestial Life Physique, now fully adapted to the Abyss, flooded his muscles with power that dwarfed the beast.
"Now... stay still."
Damien's shadow exploded.
[Hollow King's Authority].
Under his command, the surrounding shadow begun to surrender, from those on the walls to those beneath his feet, under his control wherever a shadow laid, it all bowed down.
Liquid black tendrils, condensations of those shadows begun to erupt from the floor, shooting up like spears.
They wrapped around the Rat King's legs, its torso, and its throat. The shadows were hungry, biting into the flesh, pinning the massive beast to the ground.
And thanks to the void attribute in them, the devouring quality was more obvious, as flesh began to corrode as it made contact with the rat king
The Rat King thrashed, its crystal heart pulsing frantically, but the Hollow Shadows were absolute.
With a look of satisfaction, Damien let go of the tail and reached over his shoulder.
SHING.
The Pantheon Sword was drawn.
The white light of the blade was blinding in the dark chamber. It hummed with a starving, predatory vibration.
Damien channeled his new mana, fusion of Abyss, Shadow, Dragon and his own Will into the blade.
"No hate, however I have a comission to fulfil," Damien whispered, appearing instantly above the creature's head.
He swung.
[Shadow Art: Hollow Sever].
There was no resistance.
The white blade passed through the Rat King's skull, down through its neck, and straight through the Abyss core in its chest.
Under his new found strength, there was no resistance, no time to thrash let alone scream.
Strictly speaking, the gap between sixth order and seventh order is indeed a large one, but for a seventh order like Damien, it was larger than the distance between the sky and the earth
From the start of the battle, there was never any chance of Defeat
SHHHH-THUCK.
The Rat King froze.
A thin line of white light appeared down the center of its massive body.
The sword disintegrated the massive vitality of the Tier 6 monster in a microsecond.
The Rat King didn't even have time to scream.
Its two halves slid apart, crashing into the sea of rats with a wet, heavy thud.
The green light in the crystal died.
Damien landed softly on the ground, flicking the blood off his sword.
"Now then," Damien muttered, looking at the carcass. "Should I say commission accomplished?"
