I Have a Dice Left by a God

Chapter 3: Sharing Time

The starlight was dazzling, and Li Xin sat steadily on the chair of the Round Table Conference. Unlike before, the more he came, the more naturally his body would find a comfortable position, leaning back on the chair with a sense of relaxation... Could it be from carrying too many bags?

Miss Aries, Mr. Taurus, and Mr. Cancer were all present; it's been a while since the last meeting.

"Good evening, everyone."

"Good evening, Miss Aries."

Miss Aries's soothing voice resonated, and the Round Table Conference began.

"Mr. Taurus, have you resolved your issue?" Miss Aries asked.

"Thanks to everyone, it's been settled smoothly, and my injuries are almost healed," Cantona said. His ability, once activated, not only transfers damage instantly but even after the effect ends, a portion of the damage is permanently transferred. This ability, with further enhancement of the Divine Relic, should become more formidable. "Mr. Cancer's suggestion was tremendously helpful. I subsequently screened the team again, and sure enough, found two more."

Christian nodded reservedly.

"Then let's start sharing our insights. I'll go first," Miss Aries said, "I've been pondering lately what exactly determines the enhancement of Divine Relics. There should be various methods, the most direct of which is the path and the requirements corresponding to one's path. Once completed, it leads to a direct breakthrough. The Divine Favored should make their corresponding deity pleased."

Cantona nodded, "I've heard that the path of the Divine Favored is very special and closely tied to deities. Different deities have significant differences; some are indeed easier to please. My recent thoughts have been quite complex. The advancement of the Divine Relic can enhance one's ability itself. Evolving existing capabilities should be the best."

Every Life Star increase of a Divine Relic grants some blessings. Enhancing longevity potential is the most common, and Spiritual Ability also sees some improvement, though not primarily. Once a capability is generated, enhancing it based on its original foundation greatly aids in actual combat.

"Congratulations, Mr. Taurus, on receiving a blessing," Li Xin said. "I've also had some insights recently and discovered a secret."

It was then that everyone noticed that Mr. Gemini had opened a Life Star. "Besides Divine Relics, there's also something called an Original Embryo, which seems to be what Divine Relics are further enhanced from."

Li Xin observed everyone's reactions. Miss Aries looked bewildered, seemingly hearing about the Original Embryo for the first time. Mr. Taurus didn't show much of a reaction, but his head lowered slightly, likely deep in thought. Mr. Cancer instinctively lifted his chin but said nothing.

Christian's lips curved into a smile. How could such secret knowledge be casually shared? "I've had no changes recently, just as always."

... Walking along the great path, Christian silently completed in his heart.

"It's rare to find something even Mr. Cancer doesn't know about," Li Xin joked.

"Gemini, Original Embryo involves Church secrets. Its origins, function, and true purpose aren't subjects for casual discussion. Before reaching the fifth Life Star, you better pretend you don't know," Christian blurted out, somewhat displeased.

Gemini, Aries, and Taurus looked at Mr. Cancer. Facing everyone's gaze, Christian changed his posture indifferently, crossing his hands on the table and looking at Miss Aries, "It's not that I don't want to share with everyone, but some secret knowledge is built on the foundation of power. Saying more would only disturb one's practice and might even involve the secrets of the gods, leading to adverse reactions."

"Mr. Cancer is truly knowledgeable," Estella remarked with some admiration. It seemed like there was nothing he didn't know, even aware of knowledge involving divine secrets. "I've recently come into contact with many Hex-Tech products. They're quite fascinating but don't align with our previous strengths. How does everyone perceive Hex-Tech?"

Li Xin and Cantona exchanged glances. Miss Aries was a bit naive. Actually, if she prodded Mr. Cancer a little more, he might have said more, but Miss Aries shifted the topic, making it awkward to bring it up again.

"I rarely pay attention to it, though I've seen some people using Hex Guns. They're somewhat redundant, but if there are many, they still have some utility. Moreover, it's quite beneficial because people with poor Spiritual Abilities can also use them," Cantona said.

"Taurus, Hex-Tech is a trend—or perhaps the trend of the future. It might become a new dominion at some point," Christian said. "Luthor is giving his all to promote Hex-Tech. His vision isn't aimless; there's a purpose beyond human understanding."

Once again, touching on Mr. Cancer's realm, even through the haze, one could still feel that strong pride and confidence.

Li Xin also got a nudge. By the time Luthor reached his level, he'd become a Grand Governor, yet he was still desperately promoting Hex-Tech, even exporting it externally at a loss for its publicity. What was it all for?

Profits? Strengthening the nation? If that were the case, such promotion would seem unwarranted; secrecy would instead be preferable, and now all countries on the Dao Yuan Continent have noticed. Is it really good?

Taurus didn't rebut, "I don't really have a say on this matter."

Christian nodded, "Domestically, it has strengthened national power. The Hex Airship offers a new transportation method, suitable for civilian and military purposes. It does have flaws, but these will be improved. The Hex Gun enhances basic forces, especially the military. Currently, there are shortcomings, but technology will evolve, and issues will be gradually resolved, just like how things now differ greatly from a few hundred years ago. The carriage wheels were reformed many times and became better."

Such a speech could be randomly pulled from someone in another world, but in Dao Yuan, where hidden powers prevailed, Mr. Cancer's insight was quite remarkable.

Miss Aries looked at Li Xin, realizing that many Grand Scholars in the royal court shared the same sentiment. Hex-Tech indeed had its unique aspects that couldn't be ignored, but there was no need to overdo it either; development requires time and opportunity.

"Mr. Cancer's words are indeed insightful. One must view issues with a developmental perspective," Li Xin said.

The Round Table Conference fell silent instantly. Christian was momentarily speechless, pursing his lips, realizing his long speech had just served as a prelude.

Aries and Taurus felt what it meant to be insightful.

Li Xin then realized he had interrupted Mr. Cancer's pretense, "Ahem, I have a question I'd like to ask. Does anyone know about an organization called the Song of Hell?"

Cantona's gaze turned sharp, "Mr. Gemini has provoked the Song of Hell?"

Li Xin waved his hand, "I've only heard there's such a secret organization; it's very powerful."

Cantona nodded, pausing for a while, "The Song of Hell is Dao Yuan's most powerful and mysterious Travel Group. It's the ultimate target for all groups, even kings and popes, making it the target for various countries' bounties with astronomical rewards. It's been many years, and no one has succeeded. Legend has it that the group leader possesses powers close to a Divine Being, and its singers and apostles are extraordinary individuals with unfathomable powers."

"How much?" Li Xin asked casually.

Everyone was stunned, not knowing what Li Xin wanted to ask.

"I mean, how much is the astronomical bounty?" Li Xin asked, "Just curious."

Cantona chuckled, "Each country has its own, with a million lira and titles, even the direct appointment as a lord. But those with this ability don't lack these."

"I've heard of it, considered the only Calamity Level Travel Group, so powerful that nations must be cautious. There's a legend the group leader was once a Cardinal of some Church or perhaps a Great Angel who fell," Christian said. "This level of the travel group has reached the point where it can threaten nations."

Gemini turned out to be a curious baby; was the Song of Hell something he could provoke?

"Perhaps someday, our Round Table Conference could also become a legend in others' mouths," Estella said, her voice filled with a hint of anticipation.

Everyone chuckled, "That's about it for today's sharing. Who needs a private exchange?" Cantona asked.

Miss Aries stood up, "I have some matters to consult with Mr. Gemini, if you two don't mind."

Cantona waved his hand, "See you all next time."

Christian glanced at Miss Aries, nodding silently. The figures of the two flickered and disappeared from the Twelve Zodiac Star Disc, while the starlight on the dome dimmed.

Only Miss Aries and Mr. Gemini remained, and the atmosphere became much more relaxed.

"Mr. Gemini, my gift has been prepared. When will it be convenient to give it to you?" Estella asked.

"Really, I can't wait. However, I'm no longer in the Celestial Capital, and my current place isn't very stable, so it'll take some more time," Li Xin said. "I'm currently in Moncalleta."

Estella was taken aback, then smiled with surprise, "You're in Moncalleta? That's great, we're much closer. Let me know whenever you're available."

"Sure, I really enjoy Moncalleta; it's truly a prosperous and beautiful place."

The time left for the Round Table Conference was running out. Cantona always managed it well. Estella hesitated, "Mr. Gemini, I've already told my mentor that I got the master's guidance in a dream, but he still has questions to ask."

Li Xin chuckled, "Then call me teacher first."

Feeling it might be somewhat disrespectful, given that this was Dao Yuan Continent and not as casual as the internet friends from his past life, he quickly waved his hand, "I'm just joking."

"Teacher." A gentle yet slightly shy voice sounded.
