I Have a Dice Left by a God

Chapter 31: Chatting Companion for Miss Aries

This Inhaler is a completely different concept from the Licker earlier. From a safety perspective, it's definitely best to eliminate such creatures as quickly as possible, but it's really hard to find them. Moreover, they leave no traces after committing a crime, which means even the Ability Users among the Night Patrol can't effectively track them down.

No wonder there hasn't been any news from Uncle Cheap lately. It seems that the work of the Grand Wind Discipline Officer doesn't quite suit his personality, and now there's a reason. With Luo Jin's temperament, he's definitely stuck with the Night Patrol, especially with such vicious cases. After all these years, he's developed a bit of a compulsion.

Kathy, the white-rich-beautiful girl who only has eyes for Luo Jin, doesn't understand much about the case. But Luo Jin surely knows the potential source of the Inhaler. The Night Patrol supervises the Awakened, and screening is definitely required.

The method and level of screening are beyond control. Moreover, it might have come from other places. When truly handling such a case, one faces all sorts of problems. I suppose the other members of the Night Patrol are busy.

Li Xin has become idle since Luo Jin hasn't sought him out, which means he hopes Li Xin stays at the Canon Law School and does what he needs to do.

When he got home, Aunt Fei was quietly waiting in the living room, resting her chin on her hand. Under the lights, Aunt Fei exuded mature charm. Even sitting down, her poise was beautiful and graceful. Since returning to the city, Aunt Fei's former fieriness has slowly faded, returning to her rightful self.

The environment is very important to everyone.

Seeing Li Xin return, Lin Fei's expression relaxed, and she stood up.

"Ah Xin, I'm not sure if leaving the Underground City was a good choice anymore," Lin Fei sighed lightly.

Li Xin laughed, "Aunt Fei, it's definitely a good thing, don't overthink it. If the sky falls, the big ones will hold it up. I'm not one to show off. Besides, we've been through so much over the years, and it's not like today is the first time. Old Luo is still tough, nothing fazes him."

Lin Fei hesitated to speak, but thinking about it again, it was the same everywhere.

"Are you accustomed to the Canon Law School? Are your classmates easy to get along with?" Mentioning the Canon Law School improved Lin Fei's mood, though she worried Li Xin might face discrimination.

...Why does Li Xin think Aunt Fei's whole body exudes charm when her mood improves?

"Haha, they're all good people, also quite interesting," Li Xin laughed, then talked to Lin Fei about Lu Shuai, Huerta, and Roland, "Little Hu is as strong as an ox and very forthright, Lu Shuai is very talkative and enthusiastic, Roland is truly handsome and confuses all the senior sisters at the Canon Law School."

Lin Fei seemed uninterested in such little kids matter. "Lu Shuai isn't boasting. His family does have some kinship with Governor Luthor, but the Grand Governor is particularly attentive in restraining relatives. The relationship is just a stepping stone; attaining nobility and status is still something you must strive for on your own. Just adapt, rest early."

Relaxed, Lin Fei stretched her waist after sitting for a long time, then went upstairs to sleep.

...

Twisted? Not twisted?

It must be my eyes playing tricks... Why is there an afterimage? Is this magic?

Li Xin feels like he's been acting like a restless teenager lately.

On Saturday, Li Xin and Aunt Fei spent the whole day playing with little Xueyin. The little girl returned to the innocence and liveliness appropriate for her age. It was the first time she had such a carefree time playing wildly, and Li Xin's two legs were about to break with exhaustion, only sustained by the brainwashing call of 'Brother.' Lin Fei and Xueyin were still not done, and at this moment, Li Xin felt they were the Awakened ones, while he was just a waste.

Highly exhausted, Li Xin barely touched the bed before comfortably groaning, quickly falling into a deep sleep. Unknowingly, while sleeping, Li Xin hears a strange sound, like something knocking against his dice.

Dong dong... dong dong dong... dong dong...

Accompanied by a hazy tug of consciousness, Li Xin once again sat at the Twelve Zodiac Star Disc, with Miss Aries showing surprise beside the round table this time.

Li Xin looked around and found only Miss Aries, "Haven't the others arrived yet?"

"Mr. Gemini, I'm terribly sorry, I accidentally touched your star and pulled you in," Miss Aries apologized hurriedly.

Li Xin...

"Is this place your Divine Relic?" Li Xin asked, Miss Aries was the first to arrive here, while everyone else appeared afterward, only she knew the situation.

Miss Aries waved her hand quickly, "No, during my understanding of the Divine Relic, I discovered I could perceive the existence here, so I tried to come here actively, today's my first success."

"What's going on with me?"

Miss Aries pointed to the stellar dome, "I tried sensing the stars, but unexpectedly Mr. Gemini responded..."

After speaking, she curiously looked at Li Xin, "Mr. Gemini, have I made a new discovery again?"

Li Xin wasn't sure what to say. From his senses, Miss Aries didn't seem to be lying.

"Miss Aries arrived first, meaning she has a different opportunity from us. If we can find a controllable method, we can meet regularly and not disband the Round Table Conference because we can't get in touch," Li Xin laughed.

"Thank you, Mr. Gemini!" Miss Aries said softly, truly feeling her reason was a bit far-fetched, not expecting Mr. Gemini to be so easy-going.

"Ah?"

"I disturbed you during your rest, also, thank you for trusting me." Aries' voice carried a sense of apology, knowing she shouldn't impact others due to curiosity.

Li Xin laughed, "What's the big deal, you're too polite. Besides, I'm quite interested in this Star Disc, finding a connection akin to being online friends."

"Online friends?" Miss Aries asked curiously.

"Cough, cough, it's a hometown term, meaning pen pals. But with the Star Disc, our exchanges are more convenient than letters, and since we haven't met face to face, there's a bit of mystery and anticipation," Li Xin explained, "Distance creates beauty."

"Distance creates beauty, what Mr. Gemini said is wonderful," Miss Aries said excitedly, "I thought only I felt this way. Sorry, I have few friends, usually only Chris and Keli accompany me, and Chris isn't around lately."

"Friends don't need to be many; being able to have a good conversation is sufficient."

"Chris and Keli don't talk," Miss Aries said, "They're a haughty Feathered Eagle and a lovely kitty. Because of the relationship with the Divine Relic, they're very understanding."

?

Li Xin's mouth skewed, having obtained a rough understanding of Divine Relics from Luo Jin - they're very precious. Even the slightly lesser ones are controlled by top forces. Luo Jin, despite being at this level, still wasn't particularly chosen.

He quite understood the conditions of Miss Aries should be excellent, yet having pets that possess Divine Relics, and two of them - what kind of family is this?

"Can animals possess Divine Relics too without losing control?" Among the people around him, Luo Jin holds the highest status, and Luo Jin treats Divine Relics with caution. What kind of conditions dare support pets with Divine Relics?
